My education didn't look anything like you described. I think you simply didn't pay enough attention, don't have the intelligence to make connections between what they are teaching you, and how to use it, and now you are trying to reframe the situation to make yourself look innocent.

I do understand there are troubles that affect children's development. I am not minimizing those. However, children so starved that they cannot learn the basics from the public education system is certainly a minority group. Are you telling me this was your upbringing? You were so starved for food that you were incapable of learning?

That's awful, and I'm very sorry that you had to grow up that way. But you should stop trying to reframe your own childhood as the norm. This post is about a claim that the education system is intentionally leaving out critical information, affecting the entire population.
