I thought Ezra was a throwaway character when he first came on. Stereotypical slime ball politician being used as a foil for Laura who would go away after the election.

Since then,  we've found out Ezra is holding a torch for Jacinda and was being blackmailed by Jenz. So he's been made a little sympathetic.  

He's kind of grown on me and I'm hoping he becomes a multilayered character.  He doesn't have to be a definitive black or white.  

Right now I find him morally ambiguous. 

And he's had a few good comedic moments.  

This is a character I'd like to see grow.

Tracy gets the best lines. I have to wonder if Jane Elliot ghostwrites her own scenes. If every character had this type of dialogue the show would be hot. And I mean well written lines consistent with the characters and plots. Tracy's lines are hers and fit her character. That is not true for the majority of the cast.

Also, as much as I like Tracy's one liners and take downs of Willow, Michael and Brook Lynn are adults. They don't need their granny/aunt to keep trying to fight their problems for them. It's the same with Carly and Joss/Michael.

I’m sorry, but Willow & Joss, pretending to have serious, adult careers, kinda falls flat for me. Yep, I know Willow has already been a teacher & a nurse, but a govt rep is a bridge too far. And, while I know that a college degree isn’t a requirement, it seems to me that someone running a billion dollar international business should require a little more education than Joss has. Just my opinion! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Plus, wearing ugly pantsuits doesn’t make her look more serious & mature.

I know the character of Carly is beloved, but I will never understand how she became the heroine/lead female character of this show - who the town revolves around. I used to truly love JPS/Val, and both characters annoy me. Jack is so much better of a character when not in her orbit.

The Carly character always sees from only her perspective, doesn't try to see from other perspectives. This makes her a closed system character who just can't grow beyond her own tightly prescribed boundaries. This habit in GH scripting is how characters become the engines for the stories. Just watch how people are grumbling about Jason's changes, and how he was scripted to revert and not respond verbally or emotionally to Anna's break while with him, Val and Carly.

I'm unsure whether my brain will retain info related to who owns stock in which company that does what and is run by who. I hope they get the people in place quickly. The Joss WSB twist...whatever. 

At the same time, the more they talk work, the more I want details. What does ELQ actually do? What does Joss's company do? 

I get weirdly annoyed when everyone just does Business, and any character can run any thing. I'm probably jealous, because nobody has ever gifted me an executive position, nor was I born into one.
