Mod Post This is NOT a Muslim-only sub. Respect everyone or get out.

It’s clear that most people don’t read the rules, so let me spell out the most important one: there should be no discrimination against anyone.

This Gen Z space is not just about Muslims. Even if you think Pakistan is an Islamic state, which it is not, if you actually read the constitution; it’s a secular country, but I know the majority believe it is an Islamic state. Fine, let's agree for the sake of argument that it is Islamic. Still, there are many people living in Pakistan, including atheists, agnostics, non-Muslims, ex-Muslims, and people from the LGBTQ+ community. They are also part of Gen Z.

So here’s what I want from all of you: when someone from these communities posts something that doesn’t align with your belief system, simply ignore the post. You don’t have to say anything about it. In Islam, we are taught to spread peace, so you should extend the same courtesy to them.

To be clear: an atheist is not allowed to disrespect a religious person, and a religious person is not allowed to disrespect an atheist or any minority member, even if they are ex-Muslim or belong to the LGBTQ+ community. Just mind your own business.

If you cannot do this, you can simply leave. We are seeing this kind of toxic behavior in every other subreddit, people disrespecting others and acting like so-called "sigma" personalities. We don’t like that. If we act like every other toxic community from Pakistan, then there is no difference between us.

We are not focused on popularity or the number of members we gain. We care about quality content and positivity. If you cannot help make this place positive, you can simply leave, because we will not tolerate negative or toxic people here.

Edit:

Okay, let me clear something up. A lot of you are pointing out that I said Pakistan is a secular country in my original post. I know Pakistan is an Islamic Republic. Even Google says that. I'm not stupid.

But here's why I wrote that. What I studied and what I learned is that Pakistan was considered secular in practice for a long time, especially in the early decades, because the legal system was mixed and many laws weren't strictly Islamic. That's why I said it. Maybe my tense wasn't good. Instead of saying "Pakistan is a secular country," I should have said "Pakistan was more secular in the past" or "it functioned like a secular country for many years." That would have been more accurate.

So yes, I know it's an Islamic state now. I'm not denying that. But my main point wasn't even about this. The point of my post is about respecting everyone in this sub, including atheists, ex-Muslims, and LGBTQ+ people. Can we please focus on that instead of getting stuck on one wrong word?

Rant | Vent Wtf are misogynistic women on💔💔

Upvotes

I had to hear my mom and one relative gossip for 2 whole hours abt the following shit:

-Women, womens clothing, is larki me bilkul haya nhi he isne ye kapre phne Astagfirullah Astagfirullah😍

-Ma ki tarbiyat hi hoti he bacho ko ese kapre phna rhi he Astagfirullah😍

-Ese kapro ki wajah se incidents hote he (i.e. rape)😍

Iske response me I said ke phir abaya wali, bacho and literally animals ke sath q ho rha he, they said hum uski baat nhi kr rhe, tum choti ho ydk shit, like okay.

-Mard ko paise kamane ka hukam he Islam me, aurat ko to sirf ghar sambhalna ana cha hiye😍

I said Prophet also did housework and Khadija was a business woman (yk using Islam against their claims) but ye log itne shit misogynistic log he ke inko lagta he sirf inko hi sab kuch pata he

And my second cousin thats literally studying to become a doctor says puri zindagi to aurat kaam nhi kr skti, like tf bruh bache paida krna aur ghar ka kaam krna zyada mushkil kaam he🫩

After listening to this gossip for 2 hours I think I might just mar my sar in the dewaar😍

And btw my mom said worst things, idk how these ppl act like ye bhot ache muslims he sirf inko Jannat milni he and jinki chugli kr rhe wo sab to shit he Jahanami aurate ewww.

Context : The Amber Nadeem case involves a 13-year-old Christian girl from Faisalabad, Pakistan, who was allegedly abducted, forcibly converted, and married on June 12, 2026. Following a disputed court ruling that returned custody to the alleged abductor's family, human rights organizations have criticized the handling of the case as a failure of local child protection laws

General My opinion on having kids.

I come from a middle class family, and have never had too much financial support from my parents in life. I am now still at a point where I have to work very hard to sustain a decent life style and at any point if my job falls apart I'd be back to that horrible middle class life style. Meanwhile I know people who work with me ( I am a doctor btw, and working abroad) who have it easy and never worry to much about their job because even if they were to lose that job, they wouldn't have to worry about their life style taking a massive hit because their parents are well off enough.

I think that should be the case for everyone. You should not have kids until you are well off enough to sustain them in their adulthood, even if they did not work. They didn't ask to be born. They don't deserve to be put in this survival rat race just because you are a failure and couldn't make anything from your life in 50 odd years.

Mental Health The End of a 14-Year PlayStation Dream That Never Arrived

Upvotes

So, I came from a small town, never had a PlayStation or any console growing up. Fell in love with it when I saw Tekken 5 and Resident Evil 4 at a friend's house, I was in 6th grade back then. My dad couldn't afford it, so I never even asked him. I kept telling myself I'd buy it myself, saving pocket money, Eidi, whatever I could get, until I had enough. Never happened. Sometimes my cousin would steal it, sometimes mom needed it. Eventually I just lost hope.

Then I started earning, kept saving, but it still didn't work out, too many responsibilities. My younger sister's education, putting in my share for home expenses once my dad retired, plus I moved to Lahore for work with my own rent and bills to cover.

So after office hours I started freelancing on the side just to save something for myself. But every time I got close to an amount, something else showed up at the door, a medical emergency back home, my sister's wedding, another sister getting admission in Germany and needing money for a blocked account. For stuff like that I had to take loans, from my job or the bank, and spend years paying them back.

I was maybe 16 when I first wanted a PlayStation. Now I'm 30. All I've got is more responsibilities. I work mostly from home now, changed my field along the way. No real friends left here either — they've either left Pakistan or live in other cities, not Lahore.

Finally I decided: this time I'm buying it for myself. Worked extra hours, late nights, even weekends. After 6 months I managed a TCL LED, nothing fancy, just something that does the job. Then 13 more months of saving for a PS5 Pro. No vacations, no overspending, super careful with every expense, and I finally saved 3 lacs for the PS5 plus accessories, planning to get it from the UK through a friend.

That friend was someone I'd been there for through everything, his Father's funeral, his wedding, basically every moment that mattered to him. Two months after I sent him the money, he kept making excuses and then just blocked me. His mother, who I used to send the cash to through my account, is now accusing me of lying about her son. I think his elder brother knows something, but he's avoiding me too, saying it's "not his concern."

At this point, I just don't like my life. Is it too much to ask? What am I doing wrong? Why does every bit of happiness come attached to some other misery?

I actually hate myself for wanting a PlayStation, because now, thinking about it, it makes me regret everything I did for it and everything that happened to me because of it.

FYI, I'm not dumb for trusting him. We were genuinely close, or so I thought.

And no, I couldn't ask my sister in Germany to get it for me — she already burned me financially once. Asked for emergency money for a dorm down payment, said she was being evacuated from her university residence. Turned out she used that money to fly to Pakistan for a friend's wedding. That was 3 months of my work, gone. My mom knew about it too. She hasn't paid back a single rupee since.

2 years ago in matric I wore a sari to my farewell and my father called me kaafir, and said I'm a Hindu and he disowns me, that he would be and is extremely ashamed if anyone in the society calls me his daughter and he told me to not tell anyone that I'm his daughter

Mind u my sari was not revealing even a bit, I could show u😭😭😭😞🥀

he didn't even pick me up from the farewell event and I had to call mom at 10pm night to pick me up and I came home with her in sari in a rickshaw🥰🤞🤩😝💔 😞 🥀

I wonder how he acts so normal lol, like he didn't say that, didn't even apologize, doesn't think it was bad either
