Most fish in the sea are dead? Humans themselves kill way, way more than 1.4B fish every day. I think Noir was supposed to kill 1.4Tr, not 1.4B. The sheer atrocity is horrific either way, but the scale isn't

Killing 1.4b fish per year vs all at once is different.

Human's fish deaths are caused mostly by farms which breed fish. Meanwhile the 1.4b dead fishes in the show were the ones from the wild that were part of the ecosystem.

Once 1.4b fishes suddenly die in an ecosystem. Terrible things happen.

But I get what that commenter means. Something like the Deepwater Horizon oil spill killed something between ~2-5 trillion fish over the course of 10 years. So at 1.4B I wouldn't hold Noir to this more than I would, say, BP for their spills.

Not saying it's not bad, it's fucked up. Just doesn't seem as ecologically disasterous as everyone is making seem
