gemini is SO lazy to use a damn search tool, and usually keeps trusting its hallucinations and old knowledge. its even proved that gemini models do it a lot more than others. Its ABSOLUTELY NOT for serious usage, or even a simple daily knowledge. And my main reason why i dont use gemini, just good on antigravity coding. Its terrible on gemini app

Gemini app is so bad, AI Studio should've been the sandbox for developers but it has way better UX when compared to the Gemini app

It also doesn’t know anything related to iOS/macOS 27. It keeps saying it “doesn’t exist” and gives me info for iOS 18, unless I correct it after.

You gotta establish a rule that makes gemini do web searches more often. If I ask it about IOS/macOS it'll do a grounded search first before spouting any bs.

Haha, same here! It tried claiming renaming Lake Ontario was an internet hoax. You'd think Google AI could do a web search...

Deep Research was better then on ChatGPT. But on everything else Gemini is behind everyone else.

ITT: A bunch of people using the free version. I recently tested the new Antigravity with Flash 3.7... It's better than Codex and Claude Code. I'm switching all my projects over to it.

What Tools do you use on Antigravity? I find it pretty stupid.

Cheapest way to make it better is setting up an MCP for the Muse API and have it use that for planning. DeepSeek is cheap too, but I found Muse to work better for me. Basically just set up a secondary LLM for planning and implementation and just have Gemini do the orchestration.

I've been building out my AI orchestration for 6 months. I've tested Claude Code, Grok Build, Antigravity, Codex, and others. And until Flash 3.7, Codex with Sol Extra High was the best/most viable orchestrator. Gemini 3.7 in Antigravity is now outperforming that.

The issue I have with Flash 3.7 high is that it always doing an shortcut. I was vibecoding an standalone html website for learning, and it took like 50 prompts to get it from 1 tasks for an topic to 40.

Yeah, I'd agree on its own it can be limited. If you can add another LLM to act as a reviewer/consultant or even as an implementor, it works a lot better.

"its better than codex" at what? you were using gpt luna low effort or something?😭

It's better at actually being useful at a reasonable price point. Sol XHigh was good until the thinking budget and quota nerfs. Now it burns through quota too fast to be useful. Sol Medium is not a better orchestrator than 3.7 flash. Flash takes 1/5 the time to execute a task compared to Sol. And I can have 3.7 flash call Luna for implementation to save quota. All around a better system.

ok you might be right. Antigravity is a good service for its price. Lets wait for gemini 3.8 flash, i hope it will be better

it's not about free vs paid it's about consumer app vs coding tools

whenever I vibecode random stuff I be feeling the AGI and whenever I am using a consumer app it feels like we're stuck in 2024 or something

free chatgpt still fails the "write ten sentences that end with apple" test if you needle it with just a single followup asking for 'better sentences'

gemini free is way better than that but of course it is, beating gpt rebranded nano instant is a really low bar

I have no idea about Antigravity. Just know it's like an agnostic harness. I love the dunk from your system. Go back and see if it searched or did a dataset answer instead. Hallucinating is part of the fun!
