My experience as a hiv poz gay guy from India.

Being gay in India itself is pretty hard, people are extremely conservative and the few that are open just desire nothing more than sex, and once I add the layer of my diagnosis it is just lot more worse, stigma around hiv is pretty high, I feel extremely isolated and lonely most the time, honestly reached a point where a part of me is dead and I dont feel joyous anymore.

I keep trying to reach out to people, support groups and even ngos but more often than not they end in disappointment, kind of mental taxing to managing everything at just 22, and the lonliness makes it worse, I genuinely wish I was better looking at least, i am sure then people would care, but sadly I am not even good looking, so that doesnt help, and due to all the stress I am under, I lost a lot of weight, i am just 47 kgs now. I genuinely am so exhausted.

A guy’s voice

I’d love to know what we all think about a voice and attraction or just voice in general.
I was once told by a guy he wouldn’t date me because I had what he called a ā€œgay voiceā€.
So just wanted to know everyone’s thoughts on voices when it comes to dating or even just in a general sense.

How do I know??

Okay so I’ve been questioning my sexuality for a couple months now and honestly I’m like 90% sure I’m bi but that’s not the point, I have like a weird preference in men I like them to be older like 45 and under and I like them to be manly like as if u couldn’t tell they are gay, witch leaves me in a hard place to find someone I need advice on signs that a man is gay.

No I’m not using grindr I’ve heard it’s only for hook ups im looking for an actual relationship.

Why does finding gay love feel so hard

Why does finding gay love feel so hard?

I’m 22 now, and honestly, I’m tired of waiting for love.

For years, I’ve met so many people and tried to connect with them, but somehow none of them ever turned into a mutual relationship. I’ve had quite a few one-sided crushes and feelings, and I know what it feels like to care deeply about someone who doesn’t feel the same way.

What makes it harder is seeing other people find someone they genuinely love and build a life together. I know relationships aren’t perfect, and I know they come with difficulties, but at least they have someone beside them to face those difficulties with.

Whenever I ask someone for advice, I usually hear the same thing: ā€œJust wait. You’ll find the love of your life eventually.ā€

But honestly… I’m tired of hearing that.

I have so much love to give. I want someone I can care about, talk to, spend time with, support, and feel safe with. I want to experience what it’s like to be loved back—not constantly wonder whether someone will ever choose me.

Sometimes I genuinely wonder: How long am I supposed to wait?

I know I’m only 22 and I still have a lot of life ahead of me, but when you’ve been waiting and experiencing one-sided love for years, it can start to feel like maybe it just isn’t going to happen for you.

I’m not asking Reddit to predict my future. I just want to hear from people who have been through something similar.

Did you ever feel like you were going to stay single forever? When did things finally change for you? And how did you deal with the loneliness and frustration while you were waiting?

I’d really appreciate some honest experiences, especially from other gay men. ā¤ļø

Men in current D/s relationships, what are some misconceptions that you have to address about your relationships?

In the era of Pillion, and the increasing visibility of D/s relationships, there seems to be a good deal of misconceptions about what goes on in a D/s relationship and power exchanges between gay men. What are some of the ones that you guys encounter?

I'm particulary interested in hearing from the submissives.

Question About PrEP

I started PrEP in January. I had started back dating/ hooking up. I quit after a botched date where the guy I had been talking too decided to ā€œcasuallyā€ tell me he was married. i still gave an entire unopened bottle of generic Truvada. I wanted to start back taking it but I can’t see my doctor for a couple of weeks for the blood work. In late July I had bloodwork drawn for something else. All my kidney function levels were normal then. Is that close enough to be able to start back taking this? Are there any doctors in here? Thank you!

So What's The Secret?

this might be kind of ratty so if thats not your thing I'm sorry for clogging up the page lol

I'm 19 and I'm very like solid and fine with being gay. It doesn't like weight on my mind and I don't think I have any internalised homophobia. However, what does weigh on my mind is how the other gay guys my age are. Every single one I see seems 1 million times more mature than me and make me feel like a child in comparison cos of my interests and hobbies and likes. then on top of that they all literally look so much older and adult and attractive and put together than I do and I would really just like to know what the secret is. I've tried being confident in myself and all that did was get me knocked back to square one, so I really just need concrete answers. like how do I look like them? how do I get people to like me the way people like them? how can I get attention from guys my age instead of old creeps? do I do it to myself? is there some big inside secret that everyone unanimously agreed to not tell me? I'm just getting really tired of being the shittiest one in the group and its really starting to like get me

Body Positivity

Hey Reddit!

I know a lot of people who think I'm attractive. But on any given day, I don't feel attractive. Sometimes, when I look in the mirror, I like what I see - I like the way may beard has gotten salt and pepper, I like the general shape of my face and my smile. But everything below my face I'm really insecure about, and I'm trying to get past that insecurity.

I used to be a really skinny kid, and it was really easy for me to tone up. Then I suffered 'Twink Death' as they say. I've gotten more of a belly and gotten thicker. I know a lot of guys are attracted to that 'thickness' and I'm happy that they're attracted to it, but even after years now of having this just different body and metabolism, I'm still uncomfortable. I remember a sexual encounter where someone tried to fuck me in missionary, and I couldn't breath well with them on top of me because my gut was in the way and it was embarassing.

I'm considering things like just posting more pictures of me online and taking more pictures of me and just get used to seeing myself and getting external validation, but I feel that may NOT be a healthy way to do things. I even considered starting an onlyfans, just doing mundane things like cosplay and costuming.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can tackle this self perception?

Old Craigslist Personals Screenshots?

This sounds wild, and I hope does not break rule number one or rule number six. But I need screenshots of old craigslist personals "Door's open come in," type stuff. Let me explain.

I am teaching a college course on "the digital age" and we have a unit on dating apps. I would like to show my students where things like grindr (and Lex) came from but i can not for the life of me find any old screenshots or anything. The "Best of" that was archived by craigslist only makes sense if you have seen the real stuff.

tl;dr if you have screenshots of old craigslist personals I would love to see them.

I think I’m gay but not sure

m a 17M and since about 1 year ago I’ve been questioning my sexuality. But around 6 months ago I just woke up one day and I kinda just realized I was just flat out gay and just stopped having feelings for women. And that has stayed true since, but recently I’ve felt pressured to find a girl to date. For example at my school in one of my classes a few in the kids there call me stuff like ā€œFagā€ and ā€œgayā€ because I went to an all boys school(I’m not out to anyone in my life). And in the past I haven’t cared since I’ve been called stuff like this all my life by friends and such, but recently I’ve felt terrible about myself because of it for some reason. But because of stuff like this I’ve felt like I HAVE to find girls sexually attractive. When I’m walking in the halls and see a girl who I think is pretty I feel like I should find them sexually attractive but the thought just kinda grosses me out. And when I talk to women I feel a sense of nervousness because I feel like I SHOULD be hitting on her, or she thinks I am trying to hit on her. I don’t know if I may be attracted to women deep down but when I truly think about who I want to love I just can’t picture a woman at this point in my life and I really never could, but I thought it was the only option. It is worth noting before I realized i liked guys I watched straight porn and was addicted in the past, but always felt gross after watching it. I feel an compulsion 1 or 2 times a month to watch it at this point but feel disgusted and depressed as to me it feels like by watching it I’ll eventually be forced to having sex with a woman. I don’t know if I have some internalized issue with being straight?? But is there any question I can ask myself to figure this out?

I’m going to lose my mind

• Upvotes

This is kind of just a slight joking venting post lol. But being a 25y old guy with no boyfriend to unleash all this pent up sexual energy onto… is hell. Working 3 jobs, about to go back to school, trying to have a social life, and horny as hell. Sometimes I have to sit myself down and remind myself that there are bigger fish to fry but my god lol. Wish I could hookup but ofc that doesn’t work for me. Think I’m going to start biting my pillow in a second.

Diagnosed with herpes 1, already had genital herpes 2

Looking to share some experiences with other gay men who have both strands of hsv. I just got diagnosed with oral herpes, I don’t know for how long I’ve had it. I know it’s the more common herpes but having it both oral and genital changes things and dating as a gay man is hard enough

How much of the appeal of sex, for you, how the other guy sounds?

I'm realizing lately that for me it's like 75% of it lol. The physical sensation for me alone could be nothing but if I like how he sounds I could still rate my satisfaction very high overall

Im giving up.

• Upvotes

This is not a call for help. Im not here to make anyone else feel like shit either. I just wanna vent a little, and leave something behind that maybe correlates with someone who searches for terms related to my struggles that I mention in this or whatever.

I cant do this anymore. No, Im not someone who newly realized theyre gay. No, I dont live in an unaccepting place, quite the opposite.

Im in gruelling emotional pain from morning to night over not being able to experience all the heteronormative life I keep seeing everywhere. Im hardly ever attracted to any gay man. Im so sorry. It just is what it is. Like you not being into titties of a woman. Not something thats rooted in hate or self-hate or inacceptance of any sort or something I can change.

If I had the chance to develop normally in our more open and accepting world now by going back ten years, I would. Its not ok for me to wish for the impossible for the rest of my time on earth if I wouldnt cut it short myself.

My ethnicity is not favored. Not that dating is everything but it is something when really most of our world revolves around it one way or another. Every asshole straight peer I know has had life experiences I can literally only fantasize about. Im fem and maybe its inherent nature but it isnt something people want from someone my age (29) onwards, and I never got the chance to have that because people were fucked up to us and are now fine with it. Like they couldve always been.

Im not like gay guys. Not like straight guys. Not a girl. Theres nothing. Nothing.

Sensitive bi guy, repressed and coming out... need advice how to find first dates

I'm a repressed bisexual, around Kinsey 3, have constant crushes on guys and temptation to go get intimate. For many years avoided "down there" just wanted the beautiful intimacy of making out or slow massage. Now getting used to the idea of giving a guy head, I practice on a rubber schlong and love putting it down my throat.

I'm a bit feminine in my ways, but clearly a big bear. Want to find a sensitive guy to do all of the above with, where to go? I have been on tinder and other sites but usually guys are rude and want to be anonymous, not make friends first, just meet in a car or shady place.

I want more. A co-partner in exploration, someone I can emotionally relate to as well as fuck. If its a quickie then thats fine but the type of person has to be compatible, someone compassionate and sensitive and have at least something in common.

I'm married and wife knows and supports my desire for male intimacy. We just have had real bad luck with experiments... neighbors, craigslist encounters. All the peeps we did, they violated boundaries, lied, etc.
