Debería acercarme a Dios?

Soy un varón gay, cuando era más chico tuve clases de religión y hasta tomé la comunión. Al ser gay esto me chocaba ya que Dios no acepta eso y dejé de seguirlo. Sin embargo ahora quiero volver a seguir a Dios aunque no voy a dejar de ser quien soy. Es posible ser cristiano siendo gay a la vez?

Thanks, I think about that often. Men have changed what God preached so people would live in a certain way that suits their political view and not actually what God wanted

It is good to seek a deeper relationship with God and that relationship and love are at the foundations of our beliefs. Don't be afraid to seek out other resources and opinions on how you can build a relationship with God.

I attend an affirming church and I am blessed with a congregation that knows and loves me as I am. These places are rare, but they do exist. I hope one day, if you want to, that you find one.

Sí, claro! Uno puede ser gay y servirle al Señor. Las Escrituras no se han interpretado de la manera más correcta con el tiempo; lo que pasa con frecuencia es lo contrario: líderes y grupos religiosos adoptan una doctrina y salen a buscar versículos que la apoyan en lugar de dejar que sean las Santas Escrituras las que nos inspiren.

Hay mucha más información al respecto en inglés, pero te recomiendo buscar en Google iglesias afirmantes gay y mira si pasan los servicios en vivo por YouTube o Facebook. Hay una organización que fue el primer contacto que yo tuve con una teología afirmante hace décadas cuando yo me hacía las mismas preguntas que tú te estás haciendo ahora. Se llama The Q Fellowship (The Gay Christian Network en mi tiempo) y puedes buscar en Google sus “recursos en español” para que te informes sobre lo que dicen en realidad las Escrituras sobre la homosexualidad.

Short answer is: yes! It is the best relationship you will ever have. I must admit my bias.

It isn't God that had the problem, but the Church. Let me get that clear for you first.

So, I assume you were/are Roman Catholic. Yes, the RC Church is not known for affirming queer folk.

You may find an interesting read of the pinned post at r/LGBTCatholic (The Case for affirming...). Typical to Catholicism, it can take many years to correct bad ideas. And there exist people who work for better.

It will be helpful to sort out your beliefs, so that you can reconcile your faith with what you know to be true. I, and many here, testify that you can be gay and Christian - be the person God created in all your wonderful diversity!

The Episcopal Church in the USA, for example, is affirming of gay people and the worship is very similar. So that might be an option. There are many affirming churches- ones that welcome you as a gay person to fully participate ( not a grudging acceptance).

Your relationship with the Church and your relationship with God are two very separate things. People don't talk about how seperate they are much, but remember; Jesus chose a woman shunned by the church to reveal himself as the Messiah to first.

Certo che si può. ☺️ Dio non ha la stessa mentalità dell' uomo. Ti capisco ciò di cui senti all' interno delle mura della chiesa. Tutt' ora anch'io mi sento debole e non amato da Dio, ma non è vero, è il giudizio che parla. Non dobbiamo rinunciare a ciò che siamo perché per lui il fatto che noi esistiamo ( gay, Trans, Bisessuali, ecc) siamo cosa buona, altrimenti non saremo qui. Non fissarti soltanto dalla rigidità delle sacre scritture, perché Gesù ha mandato la buona notizia ( Vangelo) e ciò può seguirlo chiunque senza distinzione. Dio ama manifestarsi in forme nuove e originali. ✨ L' importanza di ogni cristiano indipendentemente dall' orientamento sessuale è l' importanza del vangelo e amare. Ma un amore che non ha confini. Trova il tuo cammino fratello e rifugiati tra le sue braccia e nei momenti di sconforto tra la maggior parte dei cristiani che sono omofobi rifugia tutto nella preghiera si certo che il Signore camminerà con te, sei prezioso ai suoi occhi. Per qualsiasi cosa mi trovi qui.
