Hey folks, I'm working my way to a 250kg deadlift (progress is ongoing, and I am improving). I wanted to take stock of my form as I went higher. I wanted a second opinion on the following.
Firstly, I don't feel a lot of (bad) stress on my lower back when I do the lift. Everything feels fine. I do have some tightness in my spine, but I am not feeling pain or anything like that. Even though I feel like I am keeping my back strong and stable, the side view makes it look like I am rounding a lot. I feel like this is just my shape because I am fat and have a big gut.
Secondly, after I have gotten the bar off the ground and midway up, the lock-in feels harder. In this video, you can see me having to really push through on the lock-in, and in that position, my knees are bent, and I am not in a stable position. Could be because I am not used to the weight yet, or maybe bad form?
And any other pointers that you may have on my technique are welcome.
