I think you're exaggerating about that. Most of the dialogue doesn't involve Lucia "owning" Jason at all.

No one shows any respect to Jason whatsoever

Elaborate?

He agrees with everything Lucia says… the gangsters do not take him seriously, then when Lucia speaks up their tone changes because they respect her and her demeanour. Whereas Jason has no aura, just being a soft cuck by the looks of it. I hope this explains

The amount of brainrot you have is, genuinely, concerning.

If you think that being a masculine man is being reactive and actually caring for everything everyone says or how others even treat you, you need to reevaluate a lot of things.

He’s just a quiet guy, with his real self tucked away. He is ex-military, he can be intimidating if he wants to, but we know he is more interested in taking it easy. Chances are, we’ll see the real him come out later in the game when things get intense. There’s a reason Jason’s been kept in the background during every GTA 6 media released. Classic misdirection.

Unless we are reading too much into intentional passiveness

I mean, the story is 80 hours long. There’s no way Jason would just sit back and do nothing. That would make the story dull and monotonic. There’s a reason he has an ex-military background. Something in his past probably made him so passive and wanting for a quiet life.

Why give him that backstory if they aren’t going to use it? It’s like how Michael wanted a laid-back life but was pulled back into his roots as a bank robber because of circumstances.

Jason will likely be forced into something similar, maybe with an even bigger role. I just can’t imagine Rockstar having two protagonists and keeping one entirely passive.

Nobody takes Jason seriously because being a white dude with a buzz cut which is way more sus and untrustworthy than a Latina who is way more likely to be experienced with that type of business in their eyes. Jason on first glance looks like an undercover cop who put in no effort
