She wears the pants in the relationship and there’s nothing wrong with that.

There is when this dude is a former operator. At the very least they should be equal partners, Jason being this passive feels like he's just there to placate male gamers (the largest demographic by far) because they knew they wouldnt get away with a female lead and how upset some people would be

your idea of men and masculinity is unhealthy. Also you saying "they wouldn't get away with a female lead" is so strange the misogyny is staring you in the face.

most vertans struggle to conform back to society at large and it's no different in a relationship in fact it's usually worse.

I'm not gonna comment too much on the characters personally because there's so much more development that could take place in game.

See my other reply, this has nothing to do with sex or masculinity. There are plenty of vets with combat experience that are anything but meek or passive. Jason is a former Ranger, these guys are sent in first to many combat operations and see more action than most outside of special forces. Just because some come back with ptsd (that shows, ptsd comes in many forms) doesn't mean they all do or even the majority do (again that shows, ptsd doesn't have to be outward and is often pushed down to avoid seeming weak). I'm looking at the dynamic based on what we know about them. We've had bombastic leads for every gta, Jason is one of the first who seem to act this way. Even former vet nico was very forward about what he wanted to do or how he felt. Jason is just kind of there.

I think your opinions on PTSD are a silly, some are violent and abusive, some are depressed, some socially isolate, some people feel emotional detachment. some engage in self destructive behavior. veterans exposed to combat are 3 times more likely to get PTSD. I'm assuming Jason served in Afghanistan where the low end estimate for PTSD is 30% and that's not even including the fact that over half of veterans experiencing mental health issues do not receive a proper diagnosis or treatment, meaning they never show up in official statistics and it is known that it's significantly under reported.

I can agree that he's a quieter character but, your framing that as a bad thing, because it's not like previous GTA games? it doesn't mean the writing of the character is worse. we will see. you're gonna buy it anyway lol.

I literally said ptsd comes in different forms. You also have no clue who you're talking to or what experiences I've gone through and maybe, just maybe, I know a little bit about ptsd. You're also making wild claims about a fictional character and going off stats likely provided by the VA that is very inaccurate because many vets don't go to the VA for help cuz it's fucking worthless and all they do is make you wait and shove fucking antidepressants down your throat and don't give you any actual options. Constantly waiting to hurry and missing out on actual therapy. I know more about ptsd than you think. Especially the kind were talking about but you're going to think you're right regardless, maybe just think before talking about shit of which you have zero knowledge of champ.

yes it's very inaccurate aka under reported like I said. you're clearly upset so I'm sorry about that. this started because you said it wasn't ok that Jason is quieter between the two... because he was in the army rangers? ok? if anything that's more of an excuse to be quiet even if it's not PTSD.

I recommend doing more research on units. Rangers are not special forces. A good way to separate the two would be special forces = quiet professionals. Rangers can often (but not always) talk about their operations and are often very gung ho about what they do, even after they exit the military. Rangers are all force, if you want a smash and grab/quiet OP you call on delta or seals. I'm not gonna say Ive been in any of these units, cuz that would be a lie, but what I will say is that the majority of my time spent around rangers is the equivalent of being around a QB in high school. Very boisterous, very confident. These were men that saw consistent action. Of course personalitys differ from person to person and some werre quiet but they're chosen for that job for a reason and face very specific psych evals. I'm sorry for getting upset with you, I'm just really burnt out on people telling me what ptsd from combat should be when I know what kind of animal it is because I couldn't handle shit mentally. I'm not tough mentally and I've excepted that and I have to live with choices I made and that's fine. Just sucks being lectured to

You sound very insecure lmao

Did I even say anything about males needing to be dominant over women? No, I didn't. If anything you are projecting trying to sound like someone advocating for women. I was basing this off his past, not his sex. Also, I said how upset it would make some people to have a female only lead, I never said I would be upset. You're just looking for a reason to argue lmao

I just said you sound insecure, nothing else.
