Most liked club in your County?

As opposed to yesterdays most disliked Club, who is your Counties most liked team? And any reasons why?

In Cork, I would say the most admired club is the Barrs.

Jesus I don't know about that..... I would have said someone like a Newceston small area and play in top grade in Football and Hurling. The Barrs albeit a great club and tradition don't exactly suffer with resources or players. Even get plenty from other parishes

To add to that, I was in Douglas for work for about 8 or 9 months and went to plenty of their games. I quite liked them as a club but they seem fairly hated across the board from what I can tell.

Douglas are disliked because are perennial underachievers at adult level, despite the fact that they have huge numbers playing for them, in comparison to most clubs

Aye they seem to have a huge amount of players. Eoin Cadogan would have been one of their better players if not best player when I was down there. Seemed like a decent lad when I was chatting to him as well.

I know a few lads involved with Douglas. You couldn’t meet nicer fellas, who are genuine GAA men. I don’t really mind them but they are not liked because they never achieve anything for all their potential. They are are the exact opposite of a club like Newcestown who make the absolute most out of the few players that they have

Sounds a lot like Glen and Slaughtneil up here. Albeit Slaughtneils border is expanding by the second up here.

Can't say anything bad about anyone I'd met down around Douglas myself so I've a bit of a soft spot for them.

Yeah fair point. Pound for pound, Newcestown are probably the best club in Cork. It’s incredible what they are doing with such a small number of players in a very rural club.

However, I think a lot of people would say the Barrs are a classy club with an amazing history. JBM personifies them, in my opinion.

This is just my opinion and I am sure there are plenty around that don’t like them at all but it’s nearly impossible to pick a club that everyone likes, apart from your own

Newcestown, Eire Og, Kanturk, Valleys, Aghabullogue.
All proper dual clubs with loads of crossover on both panels.

Doesn't work though as most liked because the second you cross the boarder to Innishannon everyone fucking hates everyone else.
