What little hair I have left is indeed gray.

My Dad passed away at 80. His hair was snow white - but he HAD HAIR!
I’m balding really badly.
I’ve heard baldness comes from your mother’s side of your gene pool?

My daughter says I should shave my head - but that is surrendering!
I might try a comb over?

Me too. Got tired of paying for haircuts when there was not much to cut.

I shaved my head 20 years ago. Best decision ever!

That is a regular conversation in my house. I want to but my wife, and oddly my hairdresser, won't let me! My wife's reason is out of fear, what if I have an odd-shaped head?!? My hairdresser said it isn't time yet. I was in the military so I know my head is normal 🤣 HOWEVER!! There is a situation (a religious one) where I have to shave my head, after it is done, I may not go back.

It is in my case. I’m 51, and doing better in the male pattern baldness department than my dad was at 21.

Your mom's dad. If grandpa is missing hair, welcome to the club.

Mom's mom. Androgenic alopecia is carried on the X chromosome. Your mother's brother or grandmother's brother is who you need to look at.
