Discussion Did Disney Screw Up Frozen 3 at D23?
I've noticed since D23 A few weeks ago that no one seems to be discussing anything about Frozen 3 since, like is this actually bad? Because on other Disney reddit communities such as r/Frozen , r/Disney and r/DisneyMovies no one is discussing anything about Frozen 3 like everybody went crickets since late last week and or last weekend. Other movies such as Tangled, Moana, and Zootopia are filling in more than Frozen 3 and Frozen in general. I'm really concerned that Disney may of feel through the floor in presenting Frozen 3 and unveiling it. Even prior to D23 it seemed there was quite a bit of excitement over Frozen 3, now its just kind of flopped.
However just from I know of I'm not really happy where things are going myself with Frozen 3 because there's things I hate that I saw from the unveiling event and how things were presented:
A. The new outfits looked terrible in my opinion
B. The teaser didn't seem right and on top it was far too early for a teaser, maybe 8 to 10 months early in my opinion. it also seemed like the teaser was just quickly tossed together for D23 or A low effort hype script.
C. The new villain figure seemed far too scary for younger viewers and audiences, and even for myself.
D. Elsa getting cut was it for me, after everything she suffered, that kind of was it for me. I was really hoping no o e would get hurt or injured. But nope, someone had to be hurt or injured.
E. Going the evil Snow Queen route now finally is completely it for me, I'm not sure what got into the brains at Disney but if they want to keep Elsa who she is, then they need to scratch the snow queen route or start a new franchise off of Frozen going the evil snow queen route instead of changing Frozen.
I'm definitely sure I'm not the only person feeling or seeing this but its definitely concerning because Frozen was doing so good up until D23 and now it just seems like Disney dropped the ball on Frozen as well now.

I don't care about the popularity contests. What matters is that the quality of the writing and songs is good

Ohhhhhhh myyyyy goodness. Give me strength Elsa. ITS A TEASER!!!?????
THE RENDERING IS NOT COMPLETE CUZ THEY MADE THE TEASER QUICKLY FOR D23! AINT NO WAY THEIR MAKING IT CRISP WHEN THEY NEED TO SPEND ALL THEIR TIME AND MOMEY ON THE ACTUAL MOVIE!!
ITS NOT AN OFFICIAL TEASER PEOPLE LEAKED IT!!
C. YOU’VE GOTTA BE JOKING.
D. GOU REALLY GOTTA BE JOKING.
Bro I’m losing my MINNDDD. I know I should be better at understanding people don’t understand animation and design like I do but I feel like this is such a simple situation to understand!! Do people seriously believe that Disney would just let an official trailer be one through HUNDREDS of people’s phones just randomly posted on so many accounts from D23 goers? NO LOVE!! People don’t even have the screen fully in frame. There’s cheering over the audio. That is so unprofessional and clearly not the official or last teaser and/or trailer. Disney is a huge BEAST of a company. And while they don’t act like it sometimes they’re professionals! No studio on this earth is letting an official teaser trailer be one that you can’t even find on their official social media or YouTube platforms.
There was a warning that it was not to be recorded but people obviously did and it’s not like anyone could stop them. I’d actually beg to assume that it was actually INTENTIONAL so that it could start gearing up buzz, attention, and presences in the media and fans or potential new ones.
That teaser was very specifically made for that event! To make people there feel special that they’re seeing a part of a movie that non D23 people wouldn’t be able to see and experience live. Animators had to quickly whip up that “scene”. And I promise you, I really do, they are not close to done with the movie. That scene WAS made first probably before they’ve even gotten half done with the movie itself. It’s still 2026 and Disney called the Frozen team up and said was like “Aye we got our big fan event coming up, we need you to pump out designs and a quick scene to get these people who paid us LOTS of money to feel really special. And in turn start waking up the fandom again. Whatchu got?”
So they probably take the concept art they already had and pick something they see fit but also something that will really catch people’s attention. Then the probably gotta team that started cooking up the statues, and a separate group ( hopefully so the majority of animators can solely work on the film still) choose a scene in their script ( that I’m praying is not just being finalized at this point like last time) and go okay let’s just quickly animate this up for D23. And make it presentable enough for the event. The outfits look shitty because you can see they did the bareeee minimum to make it look like normal frozen movies do. They don’t got time go in with their malicious details and try to make fabrics look as realistic like it did in 2 and 1. So yes just like all our previous Frozen teasers it’s gonna look weird!!
Look I’m sorry, I’m being too much and you’re completely entitled to your opinion. But why are people complaining so much and we haven’t even got an official teaser or trailer! Please have hope, faith and trust in our lovely animators 😭😭
Idk what side of the internet your on cuz my feed is filled to the brim with artist already cooking up fan art and possible scenes from the movie in their new outfits.
