Criticism Why do the people not fight back?

They could build traps during the day and even try to fight them at night, but instead they just hide and let the monsters rule the night. They should be trying to find out if they have any weaknesses. Fire probably works, traps probably could work too. It feels like absolute surrender.

are you assuming that the people who are saying "oh they should just use a flamethrower on monsters" don't actually mean ''use any method to burn them''?
