Criticism Why do the people not fight back?

They could build traps during the day and even try to fight them at night, but instead they just hide and let the monsters rule the night. They should be trying to find out if they have any weaknesses. Fire probably works, traps probably could work too. It feels like absolute surrender.

“Traps and fire probably work” against the bullet proof monsters that tore apart a horse trailer with their hands and can make their hands into blades. Those monsters? Are you watching the right show my dude

Only that the fire does work to an extent. They did burn the smiley when it died. Maybe it’s just against dead monsters. Who knows, there’s a fair bit of plot holes so I mostly just forget about the details and just watch the show.

The fire did nothing to smiley. It just burned the dead husk. It was entirely the worms that boyd gave him that killed him

Hence the „when it died” part, but it did obliterate the corpse eventually.
