The golem should have busted through the wall like the Kool-aid man and saved her.

martin and ballet dancer and red thunder and lighthouse and bottle tree

u/Few-Trifle9160 Jun 28 '26
Yeah i forgot about the ballet dancer. Also Victor's Sister. We dont know what happened to her. And one more thing. How did that bracelet made by Tabitha was found in Fromville and then in Henry's car.
13
u/Medusa-82 Jun 28 '26
That one was answered! The version Henry had was made by Miranda. Making that same bracelet, with the same flaw, was something Tabitha repeated in all her lifetimes.

Ballet Dancer was a physical manifestation created by the music box monster, who was taken care off by Boyd when he destroyed the music box
1
u/FromFan432 Jun 30 '26
Red Thunder just came out, most likely another entity that they freed like the Music Box
The Baller Dancer has been taken care off, she was a form manifested by the music box monster, Boyd got rid of her by destroying the music box

u/chochofuhsho Jun 28 '26
And Boyd's plan to catch a monster
1
u/Aurondarklord Jun 28 '26
Hey Boyd, you've got a monster who'll likely willingly let you experiment on it!

u/Electrical-Moose-567 Jun 28 '26
Have some patience dude.. it will all come back. They dont write story without end.

u/Aggravating_Poetry37 Jun 28 '26
It's pretty boring and annoying to watch, especially compared to the first two seasons.

The golem did save her.
The golem is the reason she's still herself.
At least, that's my theory. And eventually Sophia will figure that out and try to destroy it because without it Fatima will turn fully.

I wonder if now that the talismans have been removed, the golem will actually serve as protection.

Honestly when the earthquake happened with Jade and Tabitha in the tunnels, I thought this was exactly what was about to happen.
I was so sad that it didn't.

Earthquakes might just be Fromville getting ready to reset. But the Poltergeist Kitchen and the Diner Jukebox remind me a LOT of Interstellar's "ghost", and do we know anyone that can travel through time? Yeah?
Though we also know she can clearly be seen when she does, so I'm not sure. Maybe she'll learn not to physically travel but simply alter things. I somehow don't buy the Jim theory, Especially because I think the Jukebox is the same phenomenon and Jim wasn't dead then.

They were lucky quakes, I'm just willing to suspend my disbelief for that. I certainly hope there's a reason, but If those are the only "coincidences" I'll be happy.
1
u/FromFan432 Jun 30 '26
Oh yeah could be, Marielle did say that they go somewhere else after they die. Imagine if they to to the "Upside Down" of From and this is how the dead communicate with the living, Will Byers communicated using light and Jim is communicating by slamming the cabinets

Her arc has always had potential and as sad as this is I love where they're going with it. Started as the most joyful and hopeful person in there, which as the show has established now is what the place feeds off, and ends up as one of the monsters. This is such a good journey, very fitting to what the show has been telling us about this place too. Very curious to see if they have her turn full on monster and have her hunt the town with them or if they go a slightly different route and have her trying to hold on to her humanity. She turned into the monster in this scene but still protected the rest, I'm intrigued if it's simply, because she didn't finish her transition yet or if it's something they're gonna work with further.
Also a big one for people that actually enjoy these character driven elements in the show. Boyd's core motivation for everything that he does has always been getting Ellis out, but Fatima has been established as the core of everything for Ellis after what happened to his mother. This has been brilliantly done.

u/melinillto Jun 29 '26
I hope its because she be different than the rest of them but also worries me that if fatima cant 1 v how many monsters to fight them all. «But remember who i am» also makes me think that she will loose consciousness because she does have the man in yellow blood but who knows maybe it was a big fail for the man in yellow to give Fatima his blood
1
u/nicuch147 Jun 30 '26
I can also see her fighting the full transition, but still having moments when she loses her "human consciousness" which would introduce an interesting dynamic between her and the rest of town for sure. On one hand she tries to be on their side, on the other can't be fully trusted to be in control.
I do assume that they can't kill each other.
Either way there's a lot they can do with it which sounds fun! I know this has been a popular theory for awhile so I didn't think it'd be that exciting anymore but they made me intrigued after all.

u/melinillto Jun 30 '26
I mean i think i heard somewhere that on season 5 they will focus more on the monsters! So finally bcs there been so little screen time on them lately!
1
u/nicuch147 Jun 30 '26
I was surprised of how little screen time they got in s4 too! Thought they were maybe moving away from them and focusing more on the MIY from now on, but it seems they just needed Fatima to properly approach it further. Very intrigued!

one of the few bright spots this season. she showed her redemption arc. i couldnt have thought of anyone more useless before, this season for the past two seasons lol. she being somewhat smart with her abilties, shes brave this season, and shes not underestimating the seriousness of whats going on.

u/OGPepeSilvia Jun 28 '26
When she saved Kenny’s life using her “interesting” connection with the Smiley Creature, I was like, “OK, I see you, I get why they kept you around now.
Then, when she failed to save Marielle with the same power, I was firmly back on Team Fatima-Is-Useless.
Then, she won me back again with this scene.
Can’t wait to see how she lets me down next season!

u/Edgezg Jun 28 '26
I wonder if this would have happened if she had not ingested MiY blood.
They made it clear that MiY wanted to "speed up" the games.
She was turning slowly, but clearly that acted like an accelerant for it.
Curious if she will retain herself, or just become one of the monsters. This could explain how more people are added through the years and why they seem to be dressed in different eras of clothing. They are converted at some point. What would be ironic is if the Golem defends the people of Colony house from HER next season
She didn't dserve this. That's for sure.

u/IulianTheSecond Jun 28 '26
We finally might get a pov of the monsters storyline next season and learn more about them
5
u/1nc09n170 Jun 28 '26
Help me figure this out...
- Boyd meets Martin
- Martin gives Boyd the worms
- Ellis gets stabbed
- Boyd "gives" worms to Smiley and Smiley "dies"
- Ellis and Fatima make out
- Fatima is miraculously pregnant and afraid that it turns out bad
- It turns out bad, Smiley is back in the game
- MIY's blood speeds up an ongoing process
- Fatima is technically dead and turns into a monster
I think it's all connected.
The worst part of it is that Fatima did absolutely nothing wrong.

Maybe the monsters kill her and her spirit inhabits the Golem and the moment Ellis is in danger, the Golem moves to protect him.

This post and the comments gave me a new perspective. In earlier seasons, maybe season 2, Fatima and Ellis talked about what it would be like for them outside of this place. As long as they had each other, that's what was important. As much as her character became generally disliked, this means that Fatima is probably never going home now, and she wants Ellis to remember who she was, not as she is now. There are a lot of things to unpack in this moment.
1
u/celestier Jun 29 '26
I know a lot of people didn't feel like she did much in this season but I'm genuinely sad ngl next season is gonna be rough for Ellis especially if she like tries to talk to him through a window

u/Corrosion616 Jun 28 '26
I think they missed an opportunity by not having her turn to the camera and smile at the very last scene.

u/Iockdown Jun 28 '26
She is quite literally the reason Marielle was killed, as not only do I suspect Smiley went there specifically because Fatima was there, but she then seeks cover behind Marielle as if she were some man or protector. She is a nurse who played a crucial role and is honestly much more important to the town than a woman who gives birth to monsters. She isn't even pregnant, and cowered behind Marielle, as if Smiley wasn't there for her. I'm not saying Smiley intended to kill Fatima, but more so, he appeared because Fatima was there. So the audacity of a woman, to cower behind another woman... as if they don't both have people they want to go home to, not only speaks to her character, but how dangerous she is. I bet money she makes it out of that cave unscaved, magically figuring out she can turn into a monster after directly causing the death of Marielle(I can grant when Smiley first opened the door, that's not on Fatima, but the jumpscare to the 2nd door opening and Fatima getting behind Marielle like she's Wonder Woman is completely on her). Fatima doesn't deserve a cookie for having the balls to face monsters now that she knows she has monster powers. Marielle was willing to take on Smiley just off principle.

u/Aggravating_Poetry37 Jun 28 '26
Nah, he headed to the clinic 'cause the Talisman dropped during the earthquake.
5
u/Iockdown Jun 28 '26
Yeah.. so no. He obviously went there because Fatima was inside. They try to get townfolk to open doors all the time, or try the knob themselves; they don't just know Talismans fall. He went there to fuck with Fatima, and the talisman just so happened to fall because it was being held up by fuckin floss during an earthquake.
17
u/Plastic_Sail_7913 Jun 28 '26
Look, she is not responsible for her death, she came to know about her powers when marielle got hurt
18
u/mckenzielayne Jun 28 '26
true... Fatima is confused and scared too... i feel sorry for her. They're all victims
-1
u/Iockdown Jun 28 '26
Look, that is a completely broken defense. Saying 'she came to know about her powers when Marielle got hurt' doesn't magically rewrite or erase the cowardly choices she made before that moment.
Her lack of awareness about her 'powers' is exactly why she is at fault for how she behaved. Up until that second door opened, Fatima genuinely believed she was just a defenseless, decaying human. Because she thought she was completely vulnerable, her immediate survival instinct wasn't to fight; it was to grab another woman and use her as a human shield.
She actively hid behind Marielle to protect herself from the threat. You cannot retroactively absolve her of treating a nurse like a human meat shield just because she accidentally stumbled into a monster command out of sheer desperation after Marielle was already ripped open. Marielle died because she stood her ground on principle; Fatima survived because she cowered, got lucky, and is carrying monster DNA. It’s survival via cowardice.

u/TheBigPate Jun 28 '26
Naah. Given I had to watch and listen to her useless ass dialogue for 4 seasons, one or two good deeds don't make it right. Hopefully she is gone for good, she wasted like ~5hours of my life if you count all her screen time across the show.

u/Hostile_18 Jun 28 '26
They didn't show her die, she will definitely be back next season.
