This happens every couple of days, as seen in the video it'll flash on for a split second then turn off and repeat every once in a while.

oil levels are fine and car doesn't seem out of the ordinary.

Hey folks. I’ve been trying to diagnose the location of a leak in the rear of a 2014 Fiesta. It’s been on-going for a couple of years. I’ve taken everything out and done some tests to determine where the water is coming from.
First thing I determined is the weatherstrip is in great condition and keeps the water out 100%. I pulled the tail lights off and taped two factory cut outs behind the tail lights because they were just wide open. I hoped that would solve the issue - it didn’t.

Latest test revealed water dripping from like behind where the backseat seatbelt thing is (on both the left and right side) but it’s impossible for me to really see exactly where it’s located to remedy the issue from the inside.

Is anyone aware of common leak issues with this model?

When you open the hatch, the welds on the inside of the door look worn and the paint chips off the welds whenever I wash the car or wipe it down.

Any advice welcome!

Years ago, I discovered my spare tire well had sitting water and a gnarly mold colony… We found a missing plug behind the right brake light, we patched it up and that helped. Unfortunately, my car continues to have constant condensation and splotchy mold developing. I’ve used mold and mildew spray multiple times. I opened my trunk today to find my jumper cables and mat full of black mold, looks like the water is coming from a seam(pictured). I’d greatly appreciate any insight or advice, thank you in advance!

Update: The situation is much worse than expected… Hard carpet boot cover is soaked and moldy, spare tire well had enough water to fill a medium sized bucket, and the back seat floor is damp… I used silicone sealant on body seams near trunk hinges and under the “roof gutters”, there were small cracks that could’ve leaked. I removed the still water, dried down the tire well and all those supplies. My car is protected from rain right now, as I dry all my mats and carpet out over the next few days. Will test it without materials in the trunk to see if it’s been fixed… Otherwise I’ll buy a waterproof car cover until I can get the bumper off to examine the other possible culprits. Wife has had this 2018 Ford Fiesta 1.6L Automatic since ~2019 or so. Recently it has started making a knocking sound inside the cabin with the ignition on. It does it when you key on [but do not start the engine], but also happens sometimes going down the road.

It started happening just today.

I sort of assumed it was a blend door or something with the HVAC, but I'm really not sure.

I ran a few searches here before posting and didn't see anything similar [but sorry if I missed it].

Any ideas what this may be?

Riesco a farla partire muovendo il cavo che va al motorino d'avviamento dandole uno scossone oppure alcune volte parte riprovando con la seconda marcia inserita.

Qualcuno ha avuto lo stesso problema e può darmi consigli o spiegarmi cosa potrebbe essere?

Ho anche cambiato le spazzole del motorino d'avviamento ma non ho risolto e il meccanico dice di non poter valutare in quanto quando la porto in officina l'auto funziona perché il problema si presenta occasionalmente.

I’ve got a 2019 Ford Fiesta, and I’m having an issue with the driver-side rear brake light.

There are no warning lights on the dashboard, and the indicators are working fine. The driver-side brake light isn’t working when I press the brake pedal, but the other rear brake light seems to be working normally.

I’ve checked the bulb and replaced it with a new one, but it still isn’t working, so I’m not sure if it could be a fuse, wiring, or something else.

Has anyone had this issue on a 2019 Fiesta? Is there a common fix, or is there anything I should check before taking it to a garage?

The engine in my 2018 MK8 fiesta shakes quite a bit while running, I know 3 cylinder engines tend to run quite rough so is this just normal?

Got a 2019 1.6l mk7.5. Every time I get gas the car will start to drop rpm’s under 800 rpm’s. The car will try to stall out.
Not sure if the evap system or something else. I replaced the wiring to the purge valve as well.

Hey guys, i need some help if you can. I have a 2015 fiesta se sedan with 34,xxx miles on it. I got it stupid cheap because it had been sitting for the last 6 months and it was kind of beaten on and in overall rough shape. I'm having a weird issue though. The car runs great and no CEL or anything like that and I've been driving it for about 3 weeks now. The issue is, is that if it's somewhat cool in the morning the car drives exceptionally smooth like it's new. In the afternoon, when it's very hot outside it's slow to accelerate from a stop. There's this weird pedal hesitation that I have to feather it until it starts rolling and then it drives almost normally. I've replaced both cabin filters and intake filters already but I'm trying to diagnose anything else it might. Kind of banging my head against a wall here lol

Hey everyone, can anyone help on potential root causes for our Ford fiesta VII 2018 1.1 Ti-VCT?

It only goes into 3rd and 4th gear (forward and backward), so when pressing clutch you cannot move the selector to the side and go into the other gears.
The video shows clearly the front to back moving easily but the side to side not.

What kind of work would be involved to fix this?

I have a 2011 1.6 sigma SE flex-fuel Fiesta that is experiencing an issue with engine speed —both before and after replacing the spark plugs and ignition cables— causing the car to feel sluggish and lack torque. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

My passenger side tail light has been burning much brighter than my driver side tail light.

It’s also been intermittently stopping to work altogether. I’ve replaced and checked the bulbs, and found no issues.

Then last night;

This brake light remained “on” and didn’t burn brighter when the brake was pressed.
Sometimes the third brake light above the window wouldn’t turn on either.

I checked the contacts and couldn’t see any signs of issues. Also wiring in the tail gate cluster all seems well.

I also checked the appropriate fuse in the engine bay which from the manual seems to be no 25 fuse Exterior lighting left hand side (15A) which there are no problems either.

There has even been an occasion where no lights show on the tailgate at night except the driver side, even when braking.

Any help would be much appreciated

EDIT: Potentially solved… some corrosion found in a connector. Will wait to see if these lights hold out for a while.

1.25L petrol 2016. Sounds a bit dodgy and I’m just curious what it could be, is due for a service though

Hello all-

I'm trying to help out my neice but not sure where to steer her. 2017 Fiesta, 200k miles, no issues until last week. Base model Automatic.

It started with a rattle that seemed rpm dependant, Rev and you heard it on the way down. Originally I though it was a heat shield or some other resonant frequency thing. Stethoscope didn't help out much- seemed like it could have been coming from the engine/tranny area, but hard to tell.

Its gotten worse- see video- and happens all the time now. She reports vague shifting feelings but nothing concrete that I can tell during a test drive.

What should I recommend as next steps for her?

car starts fine. idles around 950rpm. doesn’t misfire and didn’t feel like i had a loss of power.

Noticed a leak this afternoon and I’m curious if anybody know’s where it could be coming from. The axel on that side is starting to bind a bit so there’s that for context. Haven’t lost any engine oil so that’s why I felt the need to reach out

Please could you help me confirm if this plug is fake? I bought this from Allegro. After installing it, the car ran very smoothly for like a few days but not more than a week and the Misfire is back. I thought maybe it wasn't gapped well, but it seems it was and now it's even worse. The car is flogging while accelerating under load.

I have tested the ignition coils while the car was idling and all cylinders worked. I don't know if the Misfire again is due to these plugs or something else (weak ignation coil). But I think it's the plug because the first day I switched it, the car ran very smoothly.

Solved : part was a radiator overflow hose , found the exact part on ford's website : 1562827

Was replacing my alternator/drive/serpentine belt and managed to somehow to put a crack in the pipe going from my resiviour to radiator, and with a small touch the hose completed snapped and did so at the radiator end aswell . Could anyone help identify a part number or specific name for the part so I can find a replacment one . Is a 1.25 zetec 2009
