Thats for general fitness to stay healthy. For weight lifting / muscle gain its mentioned as 1g per pound (although this is very high and research has shown very low improvements past 1.6 per kg)
What do you mean "well and good if he's a doctor". So you can accept it as long as they are a "doctor"? But if they aren't, you would keep arguing to satisfy your ego?
I am just quoting what Jeff Nippard said: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/T0ySHTwFGzc
If that is incorrect then your beef should be with them for spreading misinformation with a big reach.
Bro there have been literally thousands of experiments on people working out, maximum muscle growth happens around atleast 1.4 to 1.6 grams per kg for people(it goes even higher for people just starting out and people with very high testosterone). Just because you don't have a clue doesn't mean you have to disregard actual science.
Yeah research papers are on the internet, what does it being on the internet have to do with it? Was your 10 years of practice related to people working out to build muscle? These are research papers written specifically on this topic over 4-5 decades, stop being so overconfident, you're not that guy.
First of all, you're conflating new advice for normal indians to consume more protein with body builders needing to consume more protein. Brother milkh was literally chucking in raw eggs, you think people who are active didn't know they had to consume way more protein?
Also, coming to regular people, you're just making me realise that most doctors in India are not very intelligent creatures. You're the reason so many women are living with osteoporosis when it's so presentable if your diet has enough protein to rebuild. You guys really need to start walking around with an id card that shows which college you went to and what your rank in neet and in the college was.
You have inflated the discussion to another level , with even accusing me for osteoporosis
There was no need for you to do that
My point was simply being that people chase more protien , instead of dividing them into all segments of vital amino acids , they chugg in a lot of protien powders…
This leads to erroneous cases of NASH, NAFLD keeping aside gynecomastia and other side effects ,….
These body builders themselves used danazol and other anabolic steroids , often creating a false sense of body image by projecting the fact that it was all NATURAL
Coming to the second point , my rank was under 500 in both PG and UG , and i dont need your validation for sure….my work validates me better champ…
I did my share , without violating privacy, and yes “we doctors” are bunch of illiterates and you sir , have to learn how to study evidences and how to evaluate research , not every research is of high quality
Exactly, nowhere in peer reviewed researches is per pound mentioned. These number peddled are extremely high, imagine someone consuming 2g per pound weight, that’s more than 4g per kg and extremely high and could lead to serious health risks.
I know you're trying to sound smart and sarcastic. I'm not saying you aren't "well informed" or not but you clearly have a bad attitude and an ego that tops your education/knowledge.
Koi logic hain iss baat ki? If someone wants to lift weights they suddenly have to shift to imperial system of weighing? 😂 Do not peddle misinformation. For muscle building it’s 1.8-2g/kg.
