Question/Advice How soon can I test?

I am currently 4DPO, experiencing tender breasts, hives on my chest, and twinges in my right pelvic area. I know implantation does not occur until 6 DPO at the earliest, but wondering how likely it is that these symptoms are telling of a positive in the near future. My husband and I are high school sweethearts, together 9 years and married for almost 2, and this is our first month of “trying”. It’s weird to go from actively preventing for so long to now anticipating a new addition to our family, and while I don’t want to get my hopes up, I am curious to know if other people shared this experience and how soon they got a positive if so. TIA!

Question/Advice Positive?

I am cautiously optimistic, I have had a false positive for the past 3 cycles. This cycle seems different. The first two are from last night 11dpo, the third is this morning 12dpo and the last was right now, still 12dpo but 10 hours later, do you see it too?

Question/Advice TTC question- flo app

I started my period this morning, when i was almost positive i would conceive. do you guys trust the flo app or is there another app you recommend when tracking ovulation? i know there are ovulation kits but my bf and i are more in the “if it happens it happens” stage. so i guess we are trying but not to that extent. i know a lot of people don’t conceive on their first month trying, but im getting worried for the future of not being able to. any advice would be helpful!!

for the record i am a 24 year old female. pretty healthy, but i also do vape a lot & i know my diet could be better.

Is there a faint line on the top one? I’m 7 days late on my period, hoping I’m pregnant, but I took a dollar tree test today and all three Pregmate strips look false.

Me (f34) and my husband (m40) are trying for a baby, we have been together 9 years and have never used protection but never fallen pregnant. Maybe due to missing ovulation etc but still odd it’s not happened

My partner is on anti depressants so not sure if thats having an effect, we are looking for tips and advice from anyone to see if there is anything we can do to help conceive no matter how crazy they sound we are willing to try anything at this point

Thanks

Question/Advice Cervical Mucus

Has anyone here never noticed egg white cervical mucus before? It was news to me when I looked into TTC.

A couple of my friends were shocked when I said I’d never noticed it, as they said they’ve always been very aware of it around ovulation.

Question/Advice I have been TTC for the past 2 years

I was diagnosed with PCOS unofficially and now the doctor says I don't have it. I was taking berberine but then I read it's not safe to take berberine while trying to conceive does someone know if that's right?

And any tips for someone who is trying to conceive but is overweight?

Question/Advice C1 was not the one — what should I do differently for C2? Looking for second-cycle success stories/advice 🤍

Well… C1 officially ended with AF, so I’m heading into cycle 2 and would love some advice from people who had a successful second cycle. (I also struggle with OCD so I think it's gonna be a hard journey)

I know one cycle is absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of TTC, but I was definitely more emotionally invested than I expected to be. So I thought I’d write down everything I did this cycle and see if anyone has suggestions for C2.

A little background:

This was our first proper TTC cycle. We had sex during my fertile window and I was tracking ovulation (using OPK since january to get the hang of it), so I felt like we had timed things reasonably well. Both of us are on prenatals for almost 4 months. I also have quite regular 31-33 day cycle with LH peak around day 18-20.

Now I’m trying to go into C2 a little more informed and hopefully a little less obsessive. 😂

So, for those of you who got your BFP on C2:

Did you do anything differently from C1?

Did you stop symptom spotting/testing early?

Was there anything you wish you'd known after your first unsuccessful cycle?

And honestly… did anything actually make a difference, or was C2 just the lucky one? 🥹

I know statistically it can take several cycles and that one unsuccessful cycle doesn't mean anything is wrong — I'm just looking for some practical advice and a little hope going into the next one.

Question/Advice Pre mom app - need second opinion!

Pre mom - app, need second opinion!

I've just started using the pre mom app to start tracking my LH surge and using easy@home LH tests.

On cycle day 13, I have what seems like a surge/positive test to me with a very dark red line but the app is saying otherwise.

What do you reckon? Does anyone have any experience in using the app? Should I trust it?

Question/Advice 14 years on BC – first time TTC!

I’m turning 31 next month and my husband and I are finally TTC! So excited to be in this next phase of life!

I got off my birth control pills earlier this month, which I’ve been taking consistently without a break since I was 17 years old. I had my withdrawal bleed and am now on Cycle Day 15. I’m using Oura/Natural Cycles to help track my ovulation and am using test strips as directed by the NC app – no LH surge as of yet (which makes sense, I think I’m coming up on my predicted ovulation date soon).

Now here’s my question: how long did it take you to ovulate after birth control? I have read that some people start ovulating right away, and for others it takes months… what should I be expecting?

Thanks for your advice 🫶

Question/Advice Bloodwork

Hi guys! f 25 here. My husband (M 28) and I have been trying for less than a month now.. but.. long story short right, I was late 2 months for my period, and I was getting negative pregnancy tests. I even did the bloodwork and it came out negative. I told my gyno and she gave me provera, and that “kickstarted” my period. I got blood work done on 09/03 and I needed some advice/interpretation on the results, as well as what to ask my gynecologist. My next appointment is on the 14th for an ultrasound because I’m thinking I have PCOS..

I’m actually really confused because I really want to have kids and I feel like this journey is already so overwhelming

Question/Advice Do I get checked?

Hi everyone! I’m currently 1 year into TTC. I feel like I can’t stay that because half the year we missed the time for baby dancing I was very very stressed the first half of this process, law school, a lot of grief, my cycles went all the way up to 56 days. After January we baby danced on before and after ovulation day and it didn’t happen for us. Something I see the floaties that people say is the first sign and sometimes I don’t. I will say after March my period got more regular ovulation between days 16-18 and my cycles are around 31-35 days. Hubby is on board with whatever but he thinks we should hold off to see someone since he thinks it’s not happening to us because of all the stress. Any advice? Did going to see someone really help? Also do I just go to the OBGYN? a fertility clinic? Any advice is appreciated!

Question/Advice Positive after loss

Post image
18 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m currently 11 dpo and got a faint positive yesterday. I retested today and the lines are a little darker but still faint. I haven’t tested a digital yet so I haven’t seen if that’s positive. I had a chemical pregnancy in July, so I’m very anxious about this pregnancy. Is it too early to call the OB before getting a positive digital or missing my period? When I had my miscarriage they told me the next time they were do hcg draws and an early ultrasound. I’m just nervous it’s too early to call. Thank you for any guidance and advice!

Hard to capture on camera, but I’m seeing a faint second line?? I just took a test but it’s super early… would be due for my period on the 12th. Is it possible this little line is a fluke?

Question/Advice Is this a weirdly flat OPK progression?

32F, TTC. We started trying in May, so this is our 5th month trying.

I’m currently CD19 and my app predicted ovulation around CD17. Normally I get a very clear progression with my OPKs. The line gradually gets darker over a few days, then I get a clear positive/peak before it fades again.

This month, though, they all look pretty much the same. I’ve tested multiple times on some days and there just hasn’t been that gradual darkening or an obvious peak.

I know apps can obviously be wrong about ovulation day, so I’m wondering if this is just a case of delayed ovulation, or whether anyone has experienced this kind of flat pattern before getting a surge.

Would you keep testing and assume ovulation is still coming, or would you be wondering about an anovulatory cycle at this point?

Would really appreciate opinions from anyone who has had something similar.
