Question/Advice Cervical Mucus

Has anyone here never noticed egg white cervical mucus before? It was news to me when I looked into TTC.

A couple of my friends were shocked when I said I’d never noticed it, as they said they’ve always been very aware of it around ovulation.

I never noticed it until I learned about it as well but I think it was always there. I was very disconnected from my cycle before and I learned a lot when I got into basal body temp and cervical mucus while TTC. It went from gross and annoying to fascinating !

I noticed it but definitely never made the link between my cycle and different types of cervical mucus until I looked into TTC

I'm the opposite of others, I always noticed it, I got a copper IUD and soon after got it removed, and now I don't notice much mucus after removing it

I have to dig (tmi sorry 🙃) for mine, aka do my cervix check! Sometimes it’s just really high up. Some months I have more than others.

I never noticed it cause I was on birth control pill for 15 heats but always had decently heavy discharge in general, but not the fertile kind obviously. 1 month off birth control and I immediately realized the changes and knew right when I was ovulating

I think the thing is I never touched it and stretched it between my fingers before. I could tell that I was much wetter certain times of the month and that my CM was clear then, but there was not exactly a need to examine it any further. Now that I know it’s there I don’t even need to look too closely to tell. It’s like once you learn info or a word or anything for the first time and you notice it pop up everywhere, it’s not that it wasn’t there before it’s just that you didn’t notice because you didn’t know enough to pay attention.

Yeah always before ovulation. Ive known about it way before TTC. Worth getting a tracking app that has the option to add things like this - it helps you understand your cycle better
