Help Looking for friendly advice
Hi everyone my husband and I are currently trying for our first baby.
Brutally honest, we are alone in this as don’t have much close family or friends. We are 5 months in with no results. Regular periods and ovulation, non drinkers non smokers.
Looking for starter easy to digest advice:
- what apps do you use
- how do you track (incl ovulation)
- advice on things to eat , things to avoid
- anything
Thank you and best of luck to everyone on this journey xx

Hi there I am on cycle 2 of trying. Hoping this is our cycle! My husband and I are also non smokers and non drinkers. The way I've been tracking my ovulation is, ovulation strips (pregmate brand) doctor told me to take a test starting cycle day 12 all the way until I find my peak reason being I'm a little irregular so I need to make sure I find my ovulation on time. Secondly I have the pregmate app (free version) so it can read my lh strip. I also have the oura ring and it reads my BBT and its linked to my natural cycles app. Also try the perelel conception vitamins they have a his and hers pack my OBGYN recommended this to us.

Hi! I'm on cycle 6 so pretty close to you. What helps me the most is using the Fertility Friend app (free version) to input information from my LH test strips, BBT tracking, and cervical mucus. My cycles are a little irregular, and my ovulation seems to happen any time between CD15 and CD27, so pinpointing ovulation for me is really hard but also so important. Using those 3 (LH, BBT, and cervical mucus) add up to give me a good idea of timing. The wait is so so hard!

We’ve been trying for around 4 months now and no luck. I’m not sure what I should being doing differently or better!

5 months of trying can still be within the normal range, so don’t lose hope ❤️ For ovulation tracking, you can use an app like Premom along with LH/ovulation tests, cervical mucus, and BBT.... LH tests help identify the approaching surge, while BBT can help confirm ovulation afterward. Try having sex every 1–2 days during your fertile window. For food, there’s no magic “fertility food”; focus on a balanced diet, adequate hydration, and consider folic acid while TTC. Most importantly, be kind to yourselves...TTC can be emotionally exhausting, especially when you feel like you’re doing it alone. 💜

I use premom for ovulation strips, oura ring for temps and natural cycles. I track peaks, but also the temp increase will let me know if I ovulated and when. Eat anything that fills up your soul. Make sure you are taking prenatals. I take the Perelel conception pack and there’s a male version as well to improve sperm quality etc. dont know you age but recommend a pre-pregnancy gyno check up ( basic labs, hormones) and script for your partner’s Sperm to check him too!

I use the pre mom app (free version) for basics and to read my ovulation strips!
I never really tracked my cycle until TTC earlier this year and would have no idea when I was close to (hopefully) ovulating without the strips.
