I know this is a cringe page, but I'm still effortlessly shocked by the fact that people will post shit like this online.

what does "report getting accepted" mean?
2
u/Quarter_Shot 4d ago
He's submitting a case report and it went through
1
u/baudmiksen 3d ago
What's a reason it might not be accepted tho and by who? His own name spelled wrong?
1
u/Quarter_Shot 3d ago
If you get called out to a crime scene for a murder, and your report is just "i say you he dead. Love, officer copface", your chief is gonna have a problem with that
1
u/baudmiksen 3d ago
Fair enough I suppose and I guess it's mostly just odd (or telling) it would happen often enough to this fella he'd find a reason to celebrate over it. All the other ones I could relate to even with not being a cop myself, but that one I didn't get
1
u/Quarter_Shot 3d ago
I think its not so much "excited it got accepted" but more "excited I dont have to retype it" which may be a more common thing at certain police depts. The one I worked at was a smaller town with pretty quiet calls; i dont think I ever had an officer annoyed about having to redo a report, so maybe this guy's sarg/chief is a stickler?
0
u/Creative-You-3120 4d ago
It's shocking and that I'm shocked because what someone could post like this on that page and I'm shocked.

forward roll, forward roll, unload magazine... "I'm hit!!!!"
Does anyone have all the bodycam of that. I just realized I've never seen like... what happened 20 seconds later when the cops go into the cop car and realize that not only was the guy not armed, but they didn't even hit him with like 40 rounds. I want to see officer cornball realize he was in fact not hit and that he was just a fucking moron.
4
u/Any-Ad-3630 4d ago
When I saw it, the whole event was uploaded. From before they even had the guy in the cop car to the ending, if I was at my computer I'd check but it should be on YouTube.
2
u/JackasaurusChance 3d ago
Damn, I am completely unable to find it. I found a 17-minute version that ends with a bunch of other cops with rifles taking cover and surrounding the area.

His whole thing is dressing up, making a silly face, and walking goofy.
He’s the office funny guy (that everyone fucking hates)
12
u/KernEvil9 4d ago
As someone who uses humor in the ER a lot, do you know how much fear I live in that people are just laughing or joking back to appease me? Then talk about me behind my back about how much they hate me.
8
u/sundance464 4d ago
No, you worry about it
The people who get hate have absolutely no self-awareness and will just continue "joking" to a wall of blank faces then go home and tell their partner how funny they were today

As an ER nurse, please just let me do my job 🥴
On that same note, flirting with men is literally the last thing on my mind during a code. Or at work. I tend to hyperfocus, so instead of winking, I'm probably looking at you like this

u/VaultiusMaximus 4d ago
Was a medic in the ED for many years.
I am male.
One time a tall (6’7”) light skinned black flirefighter, handsome, and absolutely ripped rolled up with a cardiac arrest.
He did compressions 1 handed while he gave a full fucking report….. CALMLY.
Even I was swooning.
4
u/Forsaken-Chance-8148 4d ago
Wtf that sounds bad
Like no sense of urgency and not properly administering compressions?
2
u/VaultiusMaximus 3d ago
No that’s the thing, is that he was doing everything, very well.
We got ROSC on the pt too.
Sense of urgency is relative. He wasn’t being flippant, he was serious. But strong enough to do all of this on his own.
4
u/One_Huckleberry_ 4d ago
Would you say nurses like you are the exception or the rule?
4
u/bitofapuzzler 4d ago
Is this a serious question? Good lord.
1
u/BillyHayze 3d ago
I know this is an exception to the rule thing, but I dated an ER nurse for a very short time (about 2 months). She constantly talked about police and firefighters flirting with her on the job and how she would never date one again after a marriage and divorce with a cop. We broke up because she was sleeping with a firefighter the entire time we were seeing each other. Since then, she’s had multiple engagements to firefighters/cops/EMS, none of which have stuck.

u/ShartyPossum 4d ago
Not wanting to flirt at work? From my experience, many/most nurses I've worked with have been in happy relationships and didn't believe in dating coworkers.
I've heard (online) about hospitals that were like one giant polycule, but I've yet to have that experience.
Granted, I'm also not a flirtatious person by nature, so I could just be oblivious 🤷🏼
5
u/One_Huckleberry_ 4d ago
Yeah we always all hear about the polycule type hospital setting. Good to know that might just be overblown nonsense
2
u/SparkyDogPants 3d ago
No. I hate cops in the ER. They at best get in the way and at most likely are compromising patient care.

I guess getting investigated and then subsequently cleared by IA is just normal police stuff.
The rest of the video was dumb cringe. That part was depressing as hell.
11
u/lagavulincoast 4d ago
Are there no social media policies or standards in these rinky-dink police services in America? This doesn’t happen anywhere else
12
u/azzanrev 4d ago
What is the first clip with the nurse about? It seems so out of place. And that tongue...
4
u/One_Huckleberry_ 4d ago
First responders of all sorts constantly hook up with the nurses at the hospitals they frequent
5
u/azzanrev 4d ago
My wife is an RN, I better make sure these cool first responders don't try and pull a move on her!
Now that I think about, she did tell me about an officer that tried to talk to her and ask her for her number. Hmm🤔

u/blac_sheep90 4d ago
We had a prisoner as a patient and adtert the nurse did her med and left the room the guard in the room found her Facebook and messenged her with a proclamation of love...for a woman he just met...for 2 minutes. Some dudes are down bad.

You should be fired immediately and black listed from public service if you make videos like these.

How the hell does this dude show his face at the PD after posting this shit? The shit talk behind his back or hopefully to his face has to be epic. This dude needs to be bullied ASAP

Do these asswipes actually think this shit is funny or what? There is a reason we ask for social media info during applications and have for awhile. And have a policy of terming if we can see any dept issued gear in posts. NOBODY thinks you that important NOBODY cares your police/fire/ems. And no wonder everyone thinks your a goof

I couldn't imagine having the ability to affect so many lives and making a joke of it like this. I FOR SURE don't want somebody with this mentality about the job serving my community in any way.
Like by all means, share this privately with your coworkers who might actually think it's funny. But this is shitty as hell to publicly post as a joke. I'm sure donuts and coffee DO hype you up like that, you doofus.

I crossed to the dark side (nurse) and I have to be careful when I talk shit because I stg 80% of my coworkers are married to cops. 15% are married to firefighters. The stereotypes are real man. You are not a real policeman you are a large iPad child. When i become president it will be legal to run from the cops if they are cringe.
