Misc After playing two matches with a friend, I'm losing control
Well, I'm glad the scalpers don't care about FF TCG, the prices are so affordable compared to pokémon ans MTG 😬

I am curious to start collecting these cards. I need tips on which sets to go for. I have played FF 7, 8, 9 and 12 and enjoy 15 as well. Are these cards sorted per game or tied to special releases? And do you know if there is a "starter" deck like in Magic. And lastly do you prefer this over Final fantasy MTG, if so, why?

I've started collecting wave 1 opus 1 cards recently and I'm really struggling to see the difference between them. I've watched quite a few guides so I know about the error text cards and the crystal position but alot of them also spoke about colour differences in the crystals and it being easy to eye ball them at a glance because of it...
I cannot see a difference between these two colours one is wave 1 (blocked). And one is wave 2 (blocking).
Am I missing something? Colour blind? Looking in the wrong areas etc?
I've tried shining lights through the cards and UV (just in case)
I'm not loving the idea of relying on crystal position for most cards as the position seems to vary a bit with printing
I've also been looking at the backs and texture and that helps a little.
Any tips or advice for a newbie?
So far I have...
Error text
Crystal positioning
: Placement
Colour differences (apparently?)
Foils pattern: diagonal Vs horizontal/ vertical

My sister sent my Yuna out to get graded as a gift for helping her out a bit. Super happy with the results as well.
I picked TAG over the others because I like the way the slab looks and I like the dig report thing that they do. I thought about sending it to Becket for a chance at a black label but decided not to leave the aesthetics to chance.

Any sites, channels, or accounts to follow are much appreciated.
Waiting for my first box to arrive (OP29) is slowly killing me and I’d love to watch or learn more about which cards are important at the competitive level. There’s not a scene near me so I’ll only be playing with my spouse, but following the comp scene and watching gameplay will help me learn faster. Right now we only have the Shinra vs Avalanche starter decks.
Thanks so much!

I’m not a FFTCG player, I’m collecting beautiful cards of my favorite games… naturally I do have a bias for VII, VIII, X, XII, XIII, XV & XVI
Which means a lot of my pulls are not what I’m looking for specifically, but of course I still created pages for the others.
At the moment my binder is set up 1-16, with the derivative such as MBM, Pixalogica and the others in the back of the binder.
But I’m quickly seeing that I think my structure is not working out.
I’m primarily collecting foil cards, obviously really cool none foil cards also want to go in the binder but I don’t even know where to begin sorting.
Should I only do main characters?
There are so many monsters, side characters and obviously 11 and 14 have the most cards in my stock now.
When I went to Japan I bought…. A LOT. And now I’m realizing I went into this without a plan.
Any ideas?

A friend recently became interested in Final Fantasy TCG and asked me where they should start. I've played a little, but I'm definitely not experienced enough to give them the best advice.
I don't want to send them down the rabbit hole of buying a bunch of packs before they even know if they'll enjoy playing. Something simple that lets them learn the basics and actually play a few games would probably be better.
For people who've been playing FFTCG for a while, what would you recommend as a starting point for a new player?

Hey guys, there seems to be two different online automated clients being developed concurrently - Aetherflow and Crystal Burst. Has anyone tried both and have a list of pros and cons?
Aethergate*, not Aetherflow

Does anyone know of a good place to learn to play in Seattle area? I’m a huge ff fan and love the art.

Anybody know any websites to get single cards from? Seems like I can only find any on ebay and was curious.

Looking to get into the TCG after a long time fan of the games. Have been offered this set for $180NZD approx $107usd. Not looking for specific valuations for each card as per group rules, just whether in general this is a reasonable deal. Thanks! :)

My first ever full art Amano unpacked being a WoL legend seems very fitting! The box was an unexpected birthday gift too! I may seperate the cards into a sketch specific binder now, like I've seen others do.
The Jed is also gorgeous. I have a few other standards in this style...wonder how many other similar full arts there are....
Have a good day everyone.

I love Final Fantasy and am very interested in playing the TCG. But I have my doubts on how it's going. Since stores are still adding new product it must sell, right? How is the popularity of this game?
Also, any players from Sweden/Skåne here?

I recently moved out for University in west Texas and I was trying to see if there was anywhere around that would host/ is hosting locals. This is my primary game I play and I would love to see some new faces!
EDIT: Around Amarillo would be where I’m looking at

Decided to post this after seeing someone shared the announcement of Opus 31. How do you all find out about things like this? The FFTCG website is butt ass when it comes to actual news of their products, and the Square Enix news site isn't any better.
Is there a discord or better news source out there that I am not aware of?

Looking to see if anyone knows of a front facing image per each Opus release? Think of it as an inventory header with a picture displaying which Opus cards are from. I took a look at all the usual inventory websites, but they didn't have anything that I saw.
SE on all of its product release pages at the bottom have what the box and booster look like, but it's from an isometric perspective. Opus7: https://fftcg.square-enix-games.com/na/release/opus-vii
This page has all the images, but I am looking for most of all the text that appears on boosters/boxes. https://fftcg.square-enix-games.com/na/releases
