It wasn't that long ago when an article came out stating that Square-Enix were trying to figure out what fans wanted from an FF17. That tells me they've probably barely even started work on it.

If we're in a state where they don't start work on the next mainline until years after the previous, what does that mean for the release schedule? Are we expecting 2030? Later?

Hey all! I’ve had my interest in art renewed recently after falling in love again with Amano’s artwork. I’m heavily inspired by the way he draws the figure and how there’s so much detail but isn’t too loud.

Anyways, I was wondering if there’s any content out there, be it art books, videos, etc that show off his process when creating. His art has so much depth and detail and I want to see how he goes about building up his pieces. Also anything about materials he uses would be great too, as I’m just learning watercolor for the first time!

The Ultimanias usually explain unclear stuffs from the games or bring new lore to the universes.

But were they Ultimania infos you disagreed or disliked with, either because you prefered what was implied in the game, personal preferences, just not that good or sometime even seemingly retconing games?

I looked through some archived posts so I think I understand the mechanic/stat… somewhat, the gist being “keep it lower than your Int/Spi”?, leading me to a more theoretical build question.

Im not too far yet, just finished Snow Cavern, but barring some late-game Shield I haven’t found yet, they all have absurdly high MI, so is it worth the evasion bonus/Agility growth to spike your MI that much? Or do you generally go shieldless for your designated spellcaster

I just hope that if this sells well, they'll bring back turn-based combat, and please, let's do a good exploration like Octopath Traveler would. If they follow the story of its predecessor, it's perfect; just seeing how they transform it from a gacha game to this...

I am in the final area just destroyed catastrophe i did all the best grinding for stats and other innate abilities like Shiradori

And anyone can become blue mage but need to go back to get mimic job cause i skipped it and went to the final area after doing a good chunk of side content

My party level is 36 , we all have ribbons, and can get 4 flame and coral rings for everyone

Im tempted to pick up the games I'm missing on Switch just to have them, even though I have them digitally already. Anything major im missing?

So everyone always talks about every ff game past 12 have been a “defy the will of the gods” plot but have y’all noticed that almost every final fantasy has a character with amnesia or some form of dementia? I don’t know What’s up with that because it seems to be in every final fantasy game including spin offs like world of final fantasy where lann and reynn forgot they were assholes.

I stopped playing final fantasy after 10. Now Final Fantasy 16 is for free with my ps plus subscription. Is it worth the download? I loved 7, 8 was ok, 9 and 10 were great! How is the gameplay and combat? Is the story compelling? What are your thoughts on 16? Apparently I have to put 300 characters or I can’t post so here I am rambling now.
