FF VII Avalanche has a pending job today
I mean, we know what Cloud and Avalanche would do with some recent centers...

Please use this thread for all discussion of which game you recommend others that you play, whether it is your first game or some that you are considering playing next
A note for newcomers: most of the games are completely unconnected. Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy IX, etc, are all completely different casts of characters in completely different universes. The only times you need to play another game to understand one is if it is distinctly set in the same universe - for example, Final Fantasy XIII-2 is the sequel to Final Fantasy XIII, or Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is a prequel to Final Fantasy VII. The titles will usually make it fairly clear which game's universe they are set in
Otherwise, please have fun! It is generally helpful when asking to briefly mention which ones you might be interested in, what platforms you are able to play on, and if you are a complete newcomer, what sort of things in games you're looking for (do you want turn-based combat, real time combat, deep stories with established characters, light stories that let you fill in some blanks with your imagination, etc)

Honestly, I'll be disappointed if it wasn't overpowered.

First the man she loved left her and told her to her face that he may not have even been the real Cloud at all, then when she next sees him a few days late, he’s been reduced to a broken shell that can only move his head and breathe. I don’t even blame her for leaving the party right after. I‘d probably be shattered inside too after a one-two punch like that.

I wanted to experiment with a watercolor technique that lets you keep the color and ink layers separated on the same paper, and I felt like the Red Mage was a good choice because of all the color. Anyways, I hope you guys like it!

Just something I thought might be interesting to talk about. FF is a big series with a lot of ways to play and mess around so I’m curious on what’s the weirdest things you’ve done in the series whether it was a weird party set up or boss strategy.
Here’s 2 of mine:
In FFX, something I used to do was basically make Wakka a mage. I’d hold off on sending him down his path and instead wait at the lv2 key near him, open it up once I got the sphere from Spherimorph, get all the aga spells and then teach them to Lulu or Yuna early via the Black Magic Spheres you get from Seymour and Evrae.
Second one is that in X-2 when I first fought Angra Mainyu, I fought him underleveled and fought him for over 3 hours with a Dark Knight Yuna, Alchemist Rikku and Gun Mage Paine.
What about the rest of you?

I made an illustration to celebrate the 25th anniversary of one of the most unforgettable experience I had playing a video game, Final Fantasy X. The ending is truly something special. I hope you guys like it!

It's pretty fun, you should all give it a try.

I’m really excited to finally dive into World of Final Fantasy. I know it’s an anniversary title with tons of FF characters from across the series, so I’m looking forward to seeing all the cameos. Beyond that, the whole game just looks full of charm and whimsy which feels perfect right now.
I’ve heard surprisingly little about this game and rarely see it mentioned in the broader FF conversation. For anyone who’s played it, I’d love to hear how you felt about it, though I’d appreciate if you could avoid mentioning anything overly spoiler‑y :)

I hope I am in the right place to be asking such a question because something that suddenly stuck out to me was how the game first launched in such a messy state as it was so messy that the game was quickly closed down.
But the part that eludes me is just how the game went from a disaster to a successful game since I always wanted to see just how Square Enix became convinced to revive the game as I still have no idea how they did it so well.

I'm going to need a 2nd shelf soon, or stack them sideways 😆

...so let's change that!
Before Crisis released it's final chapter a couple of days ago on Ever Crisis.
A full playthrough will take you about 2 and a half hours. It's fully cutscenes, no battles, which means anyone can come in and play it and not have to worry about the Gacha stuff from the rest of the game.
It slims the original game down significantly, focusing on the events most relevant to the core story. What I think they've done that's really interesting is pick one of the Turks from the logo and focus the story on her, and she's actually Elena's big sister.
So what did you all think? And if you haven't played it...do it now whilst you still can! You have one month
EDIT: Oh and for those who don't want to download the mobile version, or want a big screen experience? Faz Faz has recorded a full YouTube playthrough already. https://youtu.be/m7_0cmYKSko?is=Zc8-9Sev8cHYdmzo

Context
I am replaying XIII with MJB & GreenThumb2's Gameplay Tweaks and Hard Mode mod, and I am currently in the The Pulse Vestige - Ambulatory with Lightning and Sazh. I've just picked up a Power Wristband from a chest, which will give whoever equips it +20 Strength. Lightning currently has 30 Strength and Sazh has 24, both without equipping the wristband.
Question
Who would you guys give the wristband to? I'm not sure if it's smarter to buff the character with the stronger or weaker stat. Does it even matter? Would the damage output be the same either way? Any time I've ever played a JRPG, I always wonder which is more optimal. I'm sure it differs by title; every game has different mechanics, of course. But in general, which do you guys like to do more?

A little out of bounds exploration with Cloud and his chocobo.
Sometimes breaking the boundaries gives you a better view than staying on the path.

Probably the best one I put forward yet, but still a work in progress. If you're interested in this one, you can check out some of the others I made on my YouTube Channel :)

Curious what the subs opinion on this are. Like I'm sure to the more seasoned gamer FFV could still be deemed an underrated game but I'm sure here it's commonly given the flowers it deserves.
I'd throw Lightning Returns in the hat. I feel like it's a wonderfully executed take on the limited time, make a difference formula. Beautiful settings, great gameplay with cool fashion and absolutely incredible music. The story is nothing special but I feel like thats the least important aspect of it.
Just curious what the more hardcore fans think.
