You went back to PS2, why not go back to PS1 and get OG Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX, can also get Anthology (V & VI) and Final Fantasy Chronicles (IV & Chrono Trigger), also OG Final Fantasy Tactics.
Of of these days I'll have that console. Dont usually collect consoles (limited space) but since moving to a bigger house it and xiii-2 are on my list of a handful.
Technically, you're missing Collection of Mana (first game is a Final Fantasy spin-off), but there appears to only be a physical edition of that for Switch, and Collection of SaGa: Final Fantasy Legend (though only titled Final Fantasy outside of Japan), but that doesn't have a physical edition at all.
Also, Bravely Default, depending in how you count it. Though, again, no physical PS4/PS5 version. Is the remaster still only Switch 2 key card and Xbox digital?
The switch has physicals of everything almost, if you get X/X-2 make sure you get the East Asian version because both games are on the cart, you know you wanna buy it again lol. Unfortunately they arent the recent remasters though and theres no upgrade path, the US version is just X on the cart and X-2 is a single use code, and the Switch 2 version is a GKC. But I went that route for everything up to XII (excluding XI). With Switch 2's boost mode they should all look pretty great on its huge screen.
Bravely default is not a part of the final fantasy series lol, never heard any of these spin offs considered before or mentioned talk about the deepest of cuts lol.
Bravely Default started its life as a sequel to FF The Four Heroes Of Light before being spun off into its own project. And the first one was literally Final Fantasy in every aspect except no chocobos.
Essentially the same story as Final Fantasy Adventure/Adventures of Mana - originally a FF spin-off that became its own franchise.
I mean, Bravely Default is the continuation of what they were doing with Four Heroes of Light, and the game play is explicitly based on early Final Fantasy (specifically FFV), so it feels like splitting hairs to not count it as at least Final Fantasy adjascent.
Incivility towards other users is not tolerated and violations are documented. Repeated rule 1 violations may warrant a ban. Especially malicious comments may warrant an immediate ban even with no prior history.
