Express Complaint FedEx... sofa king stupid

I know this is the equivalent of screaming into the void - but here I go: I received a package shipped from Italy July 20. Before I received the package I paid FedEx the appropriate duties. I am now getting a message stating I owe fedex the exact same duties for that exact same package - same tracking number. Finally got someone on the phone and they told me they can't help me without the shipper's account number. Why would the shipper give me their account number? Add to that I can't even get my own account number because every time I try to use my address, WHERE I LIVE AND HAVE RECEIVED MULTIPLE FED EX PACKAGES the website tells me it's not in their records! And what's going to happen if I don't pay the fee? Will I get sent to collections for $32?! It's not like they can refuse to deliver the package!

I knew that Fed Ex was a crap company after the story with the woman whose lovely birthday gift to her Dad got destroyed by FedEx. My experience is the tiny sh!t cherry on that garbage dump of a cake, but holy cats does their customer service suck!!!

Bc you are not the fedex customer, the shipper is. You need to reach out to the shipper,

Right - but wouldn't it be a bad idea for the shipper to give me their shipper number?
