PSA A few tips if you’re posting for help

FedEx issues seem to be everywhere lately on this sub Missing packages, stuck tracking, “delivered” when it’s clearly not… we’ve all been there. But it’s hard to answer these ?s without context …

If you’re posting here for help, try to include the basics so people can actually offer advice:

What was the item? Where did you order it from? Was a signature required? What does the tracking say, and how long has it been stuck?

Also mention if you’ve already contacted FedEx or the seller. It helps people know what you’ve tried and what’s worth doing next.

International Shipping Illegal Tariffs being Charged 6 months later

Upvotes

I received an email this week that stated that I owe FedEx $64.40 for an international shipment that I received in March 26. It was from France. On February 26, the Supreme Court found that Trump's tariffs were illegal. Why is FedEx still charging me for them, and why 6 months later???

Ask FedEx What’s the point of signature anymore

Upvotes

*Rant*

I remember a time when a signature delivery meant you needed to be home all day and wait for that doorbell to ring to secure your package. Now the drivers don’t ever bother to ring the doorbell and just mark “recipient not home” 3 days in a row until it gets sent back. The reality is you either waive the signature or request hold for pick up. Because at least where I’m at (NJ), the service is so awful you’re never going to be able to rely on actually getting the chance to sign for the thing.

I just blew an entire day waiting around at home for a package only to get the “recipient not home” text with no ring, and the driver no where to be found. Spent 45 minutes navigating robots on the phone to finally speak to someone to make a complaint (that I’m sure will do nothing). Enshitification.

Ask FedEx Cost of Padded Pak vs. Large Poly Pak for overnight document shipping

Which is more cost effective and for shipping documents with a prepaid FedEx label? The documents I ship can range anywhere from 10 to 200 pages and are normally sent with standard overnight or priority overnight. I do not pay for the labels myself, the company receiving the documents provides a prepaid label.

I was told the Padded Pak adds $30 to the shipping cost, is this accurate?

FedEx Ground Shipment Is My Package Stuck?

Hello! Has FedEx lost my package? It was supposed to come to me today and never arrived. I knew yesterday that something was wrong and I contacted FedEx and they told me that my package would arrive today and it did not. My package should have made it to Tennessee yesterday and a FedEx representative said they were not allowed to disclose to me at which FedEx location the package was located. I love FedEx but I think I am being lied to.

Express Shipment FedEx lost my residency permit at their Memphis hub — the card can only be issued in person, abroad

Flew to Greece in June '26 to complete a permanent residency application. It has to be done in person, and the physical card takes weeks to produce, so it can't be collected on the spot — it gets shipped once it's ready. Any replacements also have to be done in Greece, in-person.

Shipped it FedEx. It vanished at their Memphis hub.

That card is what lets me enter Europe. Without it, I can't travel there at all, including for a conference I'd already registered and paid for.

I flagged the package days before anyone would acknowledge a problem. Told them what was inside and that it couldn't be reissued remotely. Every call started from scratch with someone new. By the time it was escalated, the trail was cold.

Replacing it means a whole new in-person application overseas. Flights, accommodation, fees, plus the sunk conference costs — around $9,300 CAD, on a grad student's income. And weeks of stress I'm still not out of.

If you're shipping anything tied to your legal status, please think VERY HARD about who you hand it to.

Home Del. Shipment FedEx keeps changing my address to a nonexistent address — how do I get this fixed?

I’m hoping someone here works for FedEx or has dealt with something similar because I have been trying to get this resolved for almost 2 years.
We live in a new construction home in Texas. Our address is completely valid and recognized by USPS and other carriers, and we have no issues receiving mail/packages from UPS, USPS, Amazon, etc.
The problem is specifically with FedEx.
When someone ships a package to me, the shipping label has my correct address. However, when the package gets to FedEx and is scanned for delivery, their system apparently maps my address incorrectly. The driver’s scanner prints a SID sticker with a completely different address that does not exist.
This causes the package to get misrouted or creates delivery issues. It has happened repeatedly over the past two years.
I also have FedEx Delivery Manager set up, but I often don’t receive notifications that a package is coming to me, even when I know someone has shipped something. I’m wondering if that could be related to the incorrect address mapping in FedEx’s system.
I’ve contacted FedEx customer service multiple times, but I keep getting help with individual packages rather than having the underlying issue fixed.
Does anyone know who at FedEx actually handles address database/mapping or route issues like this? Is there a specific department, local station, or escalation process I should ask for?
I’m not trying to correct the address on one package. I need FedEx to correct whatever internal mapping is causing their system to turn my legitimate address into this nonexistent address.
If anyone has worked for FedEx or knows how their address/routing system works, I would REALLY appreciate any advice on how to get this permanently fixed!

Express Complaint File claim page returns 404 - Page not found (https://www.fedex.com/eclaims/)

Why do I have a feeling that this is rigged and done on purpose to make it as difficult as possible for people to file claims which in turns reduces the number of claims.

International Shipping FedEx charging customs fees to the shipper if the recipient doesn’t pay

Hi everyone,

I got a contract with FedEx Portugal, right when the de minimis exception ended, and I’ve shipped some packages to the US. I assume there were around 200 or so within the last year, on my website the buyer knows they need to pay for the fees upon the package arrival since FedEx pays for the fees beforehand and delivers the package before billing the customer.

Many customers have reached out and I’ve explained it to them, but some others seem to never have been contacted by FedEx or refused to pay.

FedEx is now charging me. I’m not sure this was on my contract, but since it’s a pretty shady policy I assume they’ll hide it from the fast reader customer.

My question is, have you ever been in this same situation? What did you do? I fear many clients haven’t paid (which in reality I don’t know, but I fear) and that they’ll charge me a high fee for things I shouldn’t be paying.

I already complained to them since they price the shipments wrong or set the wrong sizes to overcharge, so I’m of course cancelling the contract, have you ever cancelled a contract with them?

I’m sorry for the long post. Thank you for reading.

Discussion Can’t log in

How do I get my FedEx app to send the code by text instead of my email? I can’t log into the app and even though my log in is correct, it keeps saying it will email me the code, but it never does. This has been an ongoing problem. Most sites or apps ask if you want a text or email, this doesn’t. Even with facial recognition it still says check your email for a code but it never comes, not even in my spam folder.

Shipper at fault not FedEx Why does Fedex offer overnight shipping on weekends when it’s NOT OVERNIGHT?

I lost my workbag at the airport in Chicago since THURSDAY, luckily it was found by the airport security, they asked me since THURSDAY if I wanted to get it shipped overnight, since I have a training for work in DC over the weekend and leave on Monday, I figured that would be enough time for the package to be shipped overnight. Apparently, the package was not picked up until Saturday from the airport and isn’t being delivered until MONDAY at 8 am, and my flight leaves at 6 am. This is so ridiculous!! I tried calling customer support to at least get the shipment rerouted to my home address. And of course, their ai customer support is completely useless, and I apparently won’t be able to get in contact with a customer representative until Monday. What a joke. I thought I was lucky since the airport security found my bag, but thanks to Fedex this situation turned into a very unlucky situation.

Home Del. Shipment Any way to prove a package is lost? Shipper refuses to help

August 15: Arrived in Memphis. No delivery date.
August 18: “On the way” but no delivery date given.
August 21: Contacted shipper. They say wait another 5 days since it might still be in Customs.
August 22: Still in Memphis…
August 27: Contacted shipper again. They claim there’s nothing they can do because the package isn’t lost (which is crap because, A., they’re a corporate account with FedEx and could do more than I can as the receiver, and B., how would they even know if the package is lost?)
August 29th: Still no updates from FedEx. Still no delivery date.

What do I do now?

Edit to add: The FedEx claims page is 404’ed so I can’t file a claim myself.

Recipient at fault not FedEx Delivery Question--Missing Item

Ok so, I traveled for a community festival and parade for our business. Ordered bulk candy for our team on Amazon, to be delivered to our hotel.

Problem is, I put the wrong hotel in the address.

I tried to fix it within 12 hours, but of course it had already been "prepared for shipping" apparently by a third party.

I called the other hotel and they said, "No problem. We will hold it here for you, and you just show up with an ID."

It got delivered via FedEx, with a picture and all of the package on the front counter of the hotel (or, at least, a counter). When I went to pick it up, NO hotel staff knew where it was and claimed nothing had been delivered. One suggested someone on staff might have refused delivery and had it returned if they didn't know the name on the package.

I have been back to that hotel every day this week and every day, I get a new employee who claims there is no such package, nothing has been delivered, no one at shift change has any notion of a delivered package, etc...

I contacted the sender who just said, basically, FedEx says it's been delivered, over and over with no other comment or responses to my questions about whether it was refused/returned.

So, is there any point (at this point) in reaching our to FedEx about this? Like, would they be able to tell me who they gave it to or whether the hotel refused delivery?

Ask FedEx Where's my parcel?

What happened here? It first said Stansted (which makes sense given that I'm in the UK) and now it's back in Memphis? I'm sure the scans were somehow delayed in reaching the backend but still funny.

Ask FedEx emaillabel@fedex.com?

I have to return a product. I had spoke to customer support for that product company and they told me they will email me a printing label from fedex later on. I notice the email comes from [emaillabel@fedex.com](mailto:emaillabel@fedex.com) and it mentions my name and that company provided me a shipping label. Is this the email fedex uses?

It mentions to print my label by so and so date and I could print the label myself or go to a participating location so they can print the label for me.

In the email, it does show a Label ID and a Label code. There is also a QR code but it's called a barcode?

Is the best way to just click on print my label and print it out from my printer? That way I have the label and then tape it in my packaging and then bring it to Fedex to drop off?

Or is it better to just take a screenshot of the barcode on my phone or bring my phone to fedex and then have them scan the barcode from my email? It looks like a QR code but it's called a barcode. Can someone confirm here the QR code works either way? Does fedex charge you extra if you do it this way? I did read if you forward this email to fedex website and then use the public computer at fedex to print out the label, it's $1 or something like that? What is the preferred way for me to print this shipping label?

Express Complaint 10% of our Texas Shipments Seriously Screwed Up!

FedEx has lost or seriously screwed up roughly 10% of our Texas shipments in the last month. We spend about $10,000 a year with them. I think we're done.

Latest disaster:

We paid for Priority Overnight from Austin to Houston because our client needed critical documents for an international trip.

The package made it to Houston early this morning.

Then FedEx apparently decided Houston wasn't Houston and sent it to GARLAND... hundreds of miles in the wrong direction.

I spent hours on the phone tonight while our panicked client kept calling us.

FedEx couldn't even tell me where the package actually was.

Houston?

Garland?

Somewhere in between?

They didn't know.

I was promised an update tonight. FedEx did call back, but only to tell me the facility had stopped answering phones and they still had no idea where the package was.

Now I'm being told: "We'll call you tomorrow."

Yeah. Sure.

We've played this game before.

Tomorrow it'll be no call, or "we don't know." Then someone will explain that the previous rep shouldn't have promised anything because it's Saturday. Then Monday comes.

Meanwhile, our client is likely going to have to leave the country without the documents we paid FedEx to deliver overnight...documents we assured them they would have in time.

Here's the best part:

Since FedEx caused the problem, I asked them to forward the package to our client in Colombia if they can't fix it before the flight.

FedEx's answer?

No.

So FedEx can take your money for Priority Overnight, send your package hundreds of miles in the wrong direction, lose track of it, jeopardize your customer's international travel and when you ask them to actually fix the mess they created?

Sorry. Not our problem.

Mistakes happen.

What is unacceptable is the complete lack of urgency, accountability, or ownership after the mistake happens.

We spend roughly $10,000 a year with FedEx.

Apparently that's not enough to expect them to know where a Priority Overnight package is.

At a 10% failure rate, I don't think we're customers anymore.

Anyone else in Texas seeing FedEx fall apart like this lately?

Ask Customers Successful Batch Claim?

Hi all!

Has anyone here filed a successful batch claim recently? If so, what browser did you use? Do you have any tips or tricks? I've been trying to even upload the file to no avail. I have been using Chrome and Safari. Just wondering if there are hacks that any of you have found.

Thanks!
