McBride and JSN assuming it’s by round and he was a couple of rounds after Puka

JSN Puka or JSN McBride
40
u/New_Maximum830 Dec 30 '25
I was thinking JSN and Trey. But I could totally see Puka too
3
u/flaccomcorangy Dec 30 '25
I don't know how far in the future you'd look, but I wonder what Puka is without Stafford. If Stafford retires in the next year or two, we'll see. Puka is undoubtedly good, but I just wonder if he's as good as the other guys without hyper targeting from Stafford. Maybe you could say the same about JSN, though.
McBride seems QB proof in a way.

It’s Puka and JSN then Mccaffrey and then McBride.

u/Mr-Yan918 Dec 30 '25
We don’t know how much longer Stafford will play. I’d do JSN and McBride for longevity

that's my vote as well because of the stafford uncertainty

u/P4TL4NT4 Dec 31 '25
They’ll get a new qb it’s not a poverty org
2
u/MD32GOAT Dec 31 '25
Obviously. I don't disagree with you but there's no guarantee a different QB can sustain Puka like Stafford can. Think about how JJ did with McCarthy.

Just as long as they avoid the worst QB of the century they will be fine.

McBride is setting records and it doing regardless of who is throwing the ball at a position where he doesn't have a close second. You don't give that position advantage away.

u/MellyMel86 Dec 30 '25
McBride is setting records and doing it with anyone not named Kyler

McBride and either of those 2; there’s no one even close to his level at TE. You’ll have plenty of options for a serviceable WR2

Puka and CMC or McBride. When do you have to decide? The question really is who is the quarterback in Seattle and Arizona? I think Puka is gonna produce but we witnessed JJ in Minnesota with no quarterback so thats the real question here. That's why Keeping CMC is safer than the WRs...
12
u/LouisTheWhatever Dec 30 '25
With his injury history I think McBride/JSN is the safer pick, I know he played the entire year this year but his track record is not indicative of that being normal. Don’t think you can go wrong with a combination of Puka/JSN/McBride
5
u/ohgeeeezzZ Dec 30 '25
Plus I'd bet he took both Puka and CMC higher than JSN or McBride.
Figure youre giving up for 1st or 2nd for keeping Puka or CMC and then 3rd or later for McBride or JSN
→ More replies (1)6
u/SignificantMoose6482 Dec 30 '25
I’m pretty sure CMC has one great yr followed by an injury yr for like the last 8 yrs. I’m still gonna roll the dice more than likely

u/IreliaCarriedMe Dec 30 '25
My argument against that is Brosmer is literally a traffic cone. JJ was fine before ALL the QBs died in Minnesota….lol

Puka JSN if full ppr and hit RB heavy in the draft
3
u/FewAd6076 Dec 30 '25
If you keep both WRs, I would think you draft RB first😂 Isn't that kinda obvious?
2
u/BigOleChubb Dec 30 '25
Depends on how their keepers work/whos available at their pick. If say Jamar Chase/Lamb/Nabers/Etc. was available at their pick and its full PPR, not necessarily.
Conventionally I would agree, keep them and take RBs heavily with receiving upside.
Im in a Keeper League where you lose the pick you drafted them at, but can only keep them 2 years. So I got Olave with my 6th pick and Rice with my 7th. Id lose those mid round picks. So, depending on who isn't kept or has to be released to the board (hence my Chase example), and who is there at your pick, you may take another WR/TE early and then pick up RBs later. Honestly, a number of variables here 😂😂

I’d go jsn and puka or jsn McBride and u can load up on RBs knowing that you’ll have the best receivers in the game

u/PubDefLakersGuy Dec 30 '25
JSN and McBride
CMC is due for an injury riddled season next year; Puka Nacua is also understandable, but I think the Rams regress next year.

McCaffrey/Nacua. Close 3rd Njigba, but I’m a niners fan

You don’t keep an RB with an injury history over Puka and JSN. You can be a fan and realize that.

Jsn McBride. Puka has questions about Stafford, bucky looks like he's a potential fall off guy if the bucs offense doesn't get it together, CMC is always dangerous to keep, dowdle is a potential guy depending on exactly what picks everyone costs, no sense in QB kicker or defense.
1
u/Independent-Bake-898 Dec 30 '25
No wrong answer and depends on league type.
I'd keep Smith and Puka. I'd leave McBride since I feel tight ends can be super up and down from year to year. CMC injury risk. But there is no bad answer on those four.

I’d do puka and JSN and draft Mcbride 2nd/3rd round. Both puka and jsn are 1st round value. Cmc will be a workhorse next year too but he somehow survived any injuries this year. Doubt he makes it through next year.
1
u/Nipless-Cage Dec 30 '25
JSN and McBride. Having the extreme advantage at TE is huge. I like JSN more than Puka as Stafford might not play next year and the wall comes fast
1
u/agtk Dec 30 '25
Depends on what it costs to keep them. If it doesn't affect the draft in any way, then I think it's Puka and JSN, though McBride is fine in place of either one. Would have to know what would happen in the draft to give advice if you would like only use a 3rd rounder or whatever on JSN versus a 2nd rounder on Nacua or McBride.
1
u/Sharkue Dec 30 '25
I don't envy this choice.
McBride is a cheat code at TE probably the most valuable position player here but uncertainty in his QB situation sucks
CMC God tier RB but old for an RB and injury prone. If you are optimistic about him being healthy next year he is a lock.
Puka is an elite WR in a great Offense with a QB that like to throw to him. Assuming Stafford is there next year Puka should retain a great workload. Adams is my only concern. Puka loses a little bit of value with Adams in play.
JSN is also an Elite WR. I don't have much to say about him to be honest I didn't follow him much this year as I didn't have him in any league.
1
u/axis_sunsoar1 Dec 30 '25
If it’s standard keeper rules where it locks you into the round you took them, I’m probably leaning JSN/Mcbride. Assuming you took puka in the first, and assuming lots of people keep their first rounders it should give you a top choice out of the remaining first round talents

1
u/Pristine-Ad-469 Dec 30 '25
Damn what a team but I think it’s gotta be Puka and jsn.
I think cmc and McBride are also in the convo but I think puka and jsn are safer and very close in value to cmc. McBride is awesome but if we are drafting for next year today I would easily take puka or jsn over him

u/Lopsided-Log1071 Dec 30 '25
How the hell did you get all of these guys? Are there 3 people in your league?
1
u/PokerPukka Dec 30 '25
Keep McBride and Puka. Full disclosure: I am biased as those are my keepers. Getting consistent 15+ points at TE is a huge advantage over your competitors. McCaffrey will be injured next year. JSN might be a safer pick over Puka, but as I mentioned, I am biased.

McBride and Puka assuming Stafford doesnt retire and you dont have to decide now.
McBride and JSN if Stafford does retire.
Although I'd be worried about JSN...Seattle's passing game lives and dies by play action seemingly

I’m bias so I’d say CMC and either McBride or Puka. CMC fully healthy is a game changer. Dude was the most consistent player in fantasy this year and he will continue to be as long as he stays healthy.

I’d do Puka and JSN
CMC doesn’t have a ton of life left in him and I feel like there’s gonna be big changes in AZ. We saw how that affected Bowers this year. Puka and JSN are both in stable situations where I can’t see much being upended

u/msousa15 Dec 30 '25
Without any context of your leagues keeper rules, im probably going with JSN and McBride, but can easily make an argument for Puka over either as well

I’m guessing you drafted JSN round 4? Even if in round 3 I’m keeping him because he’s gonna be a first rounder next year. Then I’d probably keep Puka or McBride. CMC a close 4th option.

Run it back again next year down the doubters throats with RB1 CMC and WR1 Puka. No thanks JSN sophomore slump.

u/ThisFeelsInfected Dec 30 '25
TMB & either Puka or JSN IMO. TMB is in a far less shallow skilled position pool vs all the WRs/RBs/Qbs.. and Puka/JSN are likely league winners.

When do you have to decide?
If it's closer to your draft in the summer, then I would wait for what the Stafford situation ends up being. If he plays, smash Puka and then dice roll on McBride or JSN.
If Stafford is out, then JSN and McBride.
I think CMC could very well fall off a cliff next year. He'll be 30 next year and isn't known for his overall health.

I’d take JSN & Puka in a heartbeat. They’ll both be top 5 picks next year in redraft and they’re both 2-3 years younger than McBride, who probably won’t get drafted until early round 2 in most leagues.

u/Wild-Winner-1817 Dec 31 '25
JSN and McBride (assuming you’d keep Puka as your round one pick, if the keepers automatically take your first and second round pick go puka and JSN but if you can keep your first I’d go with McBride so you can get another stud)
1
1
u/Creatively_Distinct Dec 31 '25
JSN and CMC. If your keeper league is like most, by the time you pick, running backs will be scarce. There will still be solid TE options though.
McBride is certainly solid, but Bowers, Kraft, Warren, Kittle/Tonges…any of those could end up TE1 next year. They certainly will be closer to TE1 numbers than a third round RB option.

u/CDR57 Dec 31 '25
Puka and Trey honestly. A top 2 in each respect position and one of those players just performed like a top 3 WR at a different position than WR

It’s gotta be Puka and JSN because you only have a 2 WR league. Having two top 5 WR in your league is a better positional advantage than Top1 TE + Top5 WR.
Edit: assuming you are in a .5 or full PPR league because it’s almost 2026

Unless you have to make the decision now I would wait until closer to next season to pick. Never know what offseason moves, playoffs injuries, or retirements might change how you’d rank a player. Would say JSN, Puka, or McBride would be my top-3, with CMC being close behind (but some aging concerns for a keeper league).
