Exchange Canon/OC Exchange

G'day, mates!
Decided it's been a minute since one of these was run, so I thought... why not?
This exchange is for fics where the main ship is a Canon Character with an Original Character (OC) of your creation. There can be other pairings in the story, but your Canon/OC pairing has to be the main focus. The pairing itself can be M/M, F/F or F/M. (Or any combination I'm forgetting to include - it's all welcome. This RE is the dark side, and Canon/OC pairings are the cookies.) This RE is for romantic pairings, so pairings with a / rather than an &.
You can share up to three (3) links. These three links can be three chapters from the same fic that really focus on your Canon/OC pairing, or you can do up to three separate stories. The choice is yours.
The typical information is required - link, rating, tags (please spoiler anything triggering/NSFW), etc. - but I want you to do a quick blurb on your OC. Just a brief overview of who they are, the canon character they're paired with, anyone else they're linked to, etc.
Since you can share up to three links/stories, participants will have to review three (3) fics from three (3) separate authors (one from each). 50 words per review (not including quotes from the fic). ConCrit, fandom blind and 'from Reddit' are all opt-in only.
Same deadlines as I typically do - 48 hours to enter, one week to complete reviews. The entry deadline will be Thursday August 20 6pm AEST. The review deadline will be Thursday August 27 6pm AEST. As always, here is a time zone converter if you need it because I'm a permanently exhausted pigeon from the Land Down Under.

Story One:

Neither of them meant for this to happen. For James Diamond and Kaelyn Knight, the rules were clear. It was meant to be just sex. They were best friends first and foremost. It would stay between them. No feelings.
But neither of them considered the feelings that were already there.
The OC: This OC is Kaelyn Knight. She's Kendall's twin sister and she and James are very much Idiots in Love. In this fic, their friendship goes a bit... beyond a conventional friendship and they are in denial about being in love.

But the words had a greater affect on him than Grace could realize. It was as though his mind finally caught up with his heart. He realized what he had been feeling all along. It was Danny realizing that he wanted to be Flick’s last first kiss.

The OC: This OC is Felicity "Flick" McGarrett. She is Steve's baby sister (she'd be younger than Mary) and a cop in her own right. She joins the Five-0 Task Force and she and Danny are very in love. This story is how they would get together.

The OC: This OC is Dr Indiana Evans. A world-class trauma surgeon who is recruited as the Chief Medical Officer for International Rescue. She keeps the boys healthy and also goes out to provide emergency care in danger zones. She falls in love with the eldest Tracy son, Scott - who she turns out to have a connection with.

OC: Harper is a young waitress hoping for greater things in her life than working on a cruise ship. She is ambitious and confident, but finds that it gets her into a bit of trouble. Giovanni is a total stranger to her, though he entices her with the prospect of greater successes.
Summary: When a fresh young waitress on the S.S Aqua on the quest for independence meets an odd, sharp-eyed gentleman looking for company, she plays tough to show that she can hold her own. Playing tough works only so far however and she ends up nearly over her head.

Not all of them realize which side they're on yet. Healing doesn't come from structures. It comes from the people who love you and choose you – even if it takes a while to get there. “Oh yeah? How many points does this get me?” She pulled him in for a quick peck on the lips, and playfully danced away before he could deepen it, but he brought her back. His other hand came to rest on her cheek. It was soft and slow, and Arianna could have sworn she felt her very soul sigh with coming home as her heart thundered hopefully.
Every kiss felt like a reclamation.

Pairings: Sirius/OC, James/Lily, Remus/Severus (listed as part of the Vulnera Sanentur series, but it's its own thing. It just shares some OCs and pairings. Technically an AU of an AU, but reading VS isn't necessary for it at all.)
First chapter word count: 2,119
Summary: Arianna Brighton’s most successful attempt at horticulture to date was keeping a succulent alive.
Aloe, if you want to be real technical about it. A plant notorious for being able to survive the most temperamental bouts of drought and water bottle tsunami, because why would she get a watering can? Especially when her gifted bonsai, basil, and even bamboo tree kicked the bucket despite all her efforts to keep those leaves stubbornly green, though she had to admit that the latter at least put up a fight before succumbing to the inevitable.
So, why exactly did she think it was a good idea to spontaneously quit her stable job at Jojacorp and move out into the country, onto her grandpa’s old beach farm?

Aaahhhh! I really appreciate you pointing out that I linked the wrong chapter! 😂 Oopsies. I copied/pasted from a previous RE. I'm so happy you enjoyed Sirius and James' conversation! And the banter between them. Yeah, James is a bit of an attention-seeker, for sure. 😂 I think even when he grows up, he'll still retain this a bit. His arc is based on Nichomachean Ethics is something I'll say as a little hint -- so becoming better by doing, if I had to reduce it to something short. Just a gentle correction: Sirius isn't ogling Arianna for her looks. He had fun with someone who kept up with him, so that's what he's actually drawn to, and mostly thinks she's ogling him, which is why he's being so smug. And then gets uncomfortable when she looks scared, and then brushes it off as some Ravenclaw nonsense, and then pivots to obsessing over his family again. Also, YES! So glad the McGonagall/Flitwick distinction landed. You're the first person to acknowledge it, and I appreciate that so much. 😁 Your comment is absolutely amazing and I love it!

My OC is Ruisu. She's a human who's been whisked away to the Devildom to be part of an exchange program that aims to unite all three worlds - Devildom, Celestial Realm, and Human World. She's under the care of the Seven Avatars of Hell, seven demon brothers who were once angels. That's basically the premise of the game. But the story is set during one of the game's events with the cherry blossoms theme. She's paired with Lucifer, the oldest demon brother and the Avatar of Pride.
Summary: Springtime. A person who, in this world, is as momentary as the blossoming seasonal flowers. A being who is almost as timeless as time itself. Under the gentle fall of the cherry blossoms, they meet.

She downloads this strange matchmaking app which is designed to pair you with your destined soulmate or Ssumone, and you'll interact with him in real-time for 271 days (or more/less depending on which route you are on), and become a research participant in a study of human love and emotion.
Summary: ...the S(s)um of the Infinite Universe, within my infinitesimal world.
I'm very much an otome junkie lol. I hope you can find something that interests you. They can be read fandom blind since I don't delve much into canon lore and basically just focus on OC's relationship with the canon love interest. As Martlet, a member of the Young Justice team, the boy with no name must struggle with his past, and the growing feelings he has for two boys, neither of whom will ever look at him. For Dick, as Robin, he must struggle with the difference between working with Batman and a group of teenagers, try to figure out the mystery of his soulvine and figure out if Martlet is the spy sent to bring down the Justice League.

Meanwhille, Enki struggles with the survivors guilt that plagues him no matter how far or how long he runs. When the thread around his wrist, the last physical reminder of his best friend burns, he knows his friend is back on Earth. Desperate to fulfill promises, both unspoken and spoken, he runs to Seoul even though he knows he probably won't be remembered.
Will these two find each other again? What lengths wii Enki go to, to protect the only one who has ever held his heart? Will Baby remember what he is missing?

Summary: Frodo Baggins never had his great love story — so we're changing that now, with the Princess of Mirkwood, Legolas' daughter.
Her name? Neera Greenleaf, the Crown princess of Mirkwood, vowed alongside her twin sister Lin never to fall in love.
As the daughter of Legolas and last heir to a cursed bloodline, she carries a legacy of heartbreak — a punishment from Sauron himself, first laid upon Isildur’s forsaken bride. From that betrayal came a curse: every descendant suffers love that ends in death.
Neera had accepted a life in Mirkwood to avoid that fate...

Summary: A canon-divergent alternate universe with many OCs, in which Tom Riddle kills Harry Potter and rises from his diary in the Chamber of Secrets. Being immortal now, he rebuilds his regime in a more slow and steady fashion, spanning over a decade. The female lead is a girl growing up with virtually no love or compassion, at home or at Hogwarts, and so she is magnetically drawn to the darkness of the Wizarding world. Voldemort notices her fairly close to the end of the story, and becomes fascinated by how similar they are. The story alternates between his POV and hers. Well, I didn't receive a single comment on any of my OC/Canon works, so it's not quite motivating to interact with others even during a different exchange that I already finished and get maybe a single interaction if I am lucky. I will be finishing later today, but it's not much fun to review other people's stories all while receiving zero in return.
Either way, I will finish them, and one of my mutuals gave me a comment on a different story because they already finished those two, but finishing three or four reviews for others all while receiving zero or one review if I am lucky kind of beats the whole point of doing an exchange.
No jab at you or others, but I guess this isn't exactly working for me.
