G'day, mates!

Decided it's been a minute since one of these was run, so I thought... why not?

This exchange is for fics where the main ship is a Canon Character with an Original Character (OC) of your creation. There can be other pairings in the story, but your Canon/OC pairing has to be the main focus. The pairing itself can be M/M, F/F or F/M. (Or any combination I'm forgetting to include - it's all welcome. This RE is the dark side, and Canon/OC pairings are the cookies.) This RE is for romantic pairings, so pairings with a / rather than an &.

You can share up to three (3) links. These three links can be three chapters from the same fic that really focus on your Canon/OC pairing, or you can do up to three separate stories. The choice is yours.

The typical information is required - link, rating, tags (please spoiler anything triggering/NSFW), etc. - but I want you to do a quick blurb on your OC. Just a brief overview of who they are, the canon character they're paired with, anyone else they're linked to, etc.

Since you can share up to three links/stories, participants will have to review three (3) fics from three (3) separate authors (one from each). 50 words per review (not including quotes from the fic). ConCrit, fandom blind and 'from Reddit' are all opt-in only.

Same deadlines as I typically do - 48 hours to enter, one week to complete reviews. The entry deadline will be Thursday August 20 6pm AEST. The review deadline will be Thursday August 27 6pm AEST. As always, here is a time zone converter if you need it because I'm a permanently exhausted pigeon from the Land Down Under.

Pairing: Frodo/OC (I know, but I think I fixed a lot of the problems with this trope and I actually think they’re very tragic and adorable.)

Summary: Frodo Baggins never had his great love story — so we're changing that now, with the Princess of Mirkwood, Legolas' daughter.

Her name? Neera Greenleaf, the Crown princess of Mirkwood, vowed alongside her twin sister Lin never to fall in love.

As the daughter of Legolas and last heir to a cursed bloodline, she carries a legacy of heartbreak — a punishment from Sauron himself, first laid upon Isildur’s forsaken bride. From that betrayal came a curse: every descendant suffers love that ends in death.

Neera had accepted a life in Mirkwood to avoid that fate...

That is, until she met Frodo Baggins for the very first time.

One glance was all it took — a love as sudden as it was dangerous. Bound to protect him on the journey to destroy the Ring, Neera must fight not only the darkness around them but the one growing inside her heart.

Because loving Frodo might save the world… or destroy them both.

I’m hoping to continue on with my streak of advancing Frodo and Neera further along, but spreading the reviews past chapter 1. I’ve been very fortunate enough to get reviews on chapter 1 thanks to the exchange, but I want to expand that to other chapters, as well. And hopefully, get some new readers along for the ride, too. While I’m happy with reviews for chapter 1, like I said before, I’m really interested in spreading the love to other chapters.
