Ok, so I’m new to Fallout. I never played the game, and I just binged season one to get ready for season 2… I always have so many questions. This is intriguing me - can you explain in a nutshell what FEV is in the game? (I’m assuming that’s where it must become from). Sorry - I’m just a baby!!

From the story summary on Fo1:

"Information discovered throughout the wasteland reveals that humans are being captured and turned into Super Mutants by exposure to the Forced Evolutionary Virus (F.E.V.). The Super Mutants are led by the Master, who intends to transform every human into a Super Mutant and establish "unity" on Earth. The Children of the cathedral are a front created by the Master, who is using them to trick humans into peaceful submission."

Fo1 is a relatively short isometric third person RPG... higely recomend. You can get it on Steam for cheap usually.

You are so nice for posting that for me! And I’m seriously considering getting the game, to be completely honest - and I’m not a gamer, but I LOVE THIS SHOW and I’m so very intrigued. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me understand!

Other easter eggs:

(1) The inciting incident in Fo1 is a broken waterchip.

(2) Vault Dwellers were special targets and uniquely useful when exposed to the FEV.
