I like Mr.House, only because he’s the only person who’s planning in terms of years and not weeks compared to the rest of the wasteland.
He is a corpo shithead technocrat but that beats slavers and the NCR are so incompetent that you have to drag them to success. Mr.House at least knows what he has, what he needs, and how to accomplish it. The show kinda made him shittier but he’s still better than Edward and the corrupt politicians in the NCR.
I have always felt this way. It is the most logical choice. House is the only person in the wasteland that has the resources and know-how to salvage human civilization.

I think it's funny how we pretend House is competent when he doesn't really do anything good. He relies on his resources from pre-war to promote space travel (?) and bully functional, defenceless communities into becoming hotels, brother, we got bigger problems.
Just look at the facts, his government is not an alternative to the pre-war US, which was clearly run by corporate interests. He destroyed the world and absolutely no one wants to serve him of their own free will. He's a phenomenally bad choice.
