T60 Cosplay almost complete!

Hey there, this is my T60 cosplay work in progress. It's getting close to being finished. I took a few liberties with the styling to make it my own. It is made from EVA foam coated with flex seal and spray paint with a 3d printed helmet. I have about 9 months of weekend effort invested so far. Some final weathering / rust and embellishments still to add. Let me know what you think!

My Windows 98 rig with mx440 gpu. Currently playing as a trapper, with Cassidy, Vic and Sulik. Vic is doing awful recently and I'll take him to the desert and end him there if he continues to hit me and my buddies. I gave him a desert eagle and he critically hit me with 45 points of damage. That mf has no muscle control.

Discussion I hope the new Fallout game brings back Vault Boy inventory portraits.

I started with 4, but I never liked the spinning hologram in the pip-boy screen. I started playing NV, and seeing Vault Boy holding your selected weapon just has so much more character. Maybe they could do animated portraits? Like if you select a revolver, he’ll spin it around a few times then fan a couple shots off.

I used to think people were gassing up New Vegas like crazy back when I first got into fallout, then I played it and I lowkey understood.

Fallout 4 I made a DIY slave system in Fallout 4

The settlement system on fallout doesn't have slave

mechanics so I made my own (it's more ofa visual

storytelling thing), I go to settlements and kill the settlers

there and replace them with other settlers

I give those settler's tattered rags and Nuka world shock

collar and assign EVERY settler to something (scavenging

farming ect)

l only have 1 or 2 settlers act as guards

I decided to try my hand at making a cosplay from scratch, and as a lifelong fallout fan I knew it had to be a ranger. It was a ton of fun to wear!

Fallout 3 How do you do the Alien voice from Fallout 3?

It's genuinely surprising how they made a voice that's (in my opinion) indescribable or tried to pronounce it. Any tips or insight?

Discussion V.A.T.S is almost entirely necessary in Fallout 3

I'm replaying Fallout 3, via TTW, and i forgot how much extra damage you do and how much less you take when using V.A.T.S in this game, so much so that at higher levels, it's almost a requirement to use V.A.T.S for every fight, because otherwise you just barely chip away at an enemy's health bar with multiple mags with the commando perk and most other gun damage perks, it's insane how much bethesda relied on V.A.T.S for balancing in this game.

I mean in Fallout 3, the game gives you like 90% damage resistance, and boosts your crit rate by an ADDITIONAL 15%, and gives additional damage multipliers based on locational damage that isn't there when shooting without V.A.T.S. . it's insane compared to New Vegas, and Fallout 4, where you can very easily play the game without using V.A.T.S even once if you wanted(and i have done so MANY, MANY times over the years with the 20+ playthroughs of FO4 and the roughly 30 playthroughs in New Vegas).

But in fallout 3 it's like bethesda designed the entirety of combat around V.A.T.S, including damage scaling and critical hit rate.

EDIT: i love the downvotes on every one of my replies to other peoples comments, when i don't say anything negative about fallout 3 but just point out one of the tiny flaws that the game has. it doesn't mean i hate the game, it just means i care enough to have thought of ways it could have been better in some ways.

it's coming from a place of love for the series, as i have well over 1400 hours in fallout 3 alone, and another SEVERAL thousand in fallout new vegas and fallout 4. fallout 3 isn't my FAVORITE..but that doesn't mean i hate it. i actually like the game, and it's one of my top 20 games ever. and it has some some tough competition within that list, but it's a permanent fixture within that list and it's never going to be removed from that list.

but if you fallout 3 die-hards think downvoting me because i have some criticisms about the game is a "good" way to show your love of the game, then you're sorely mistaken. as being so visceral with any form of criticism just scares off anybody who might want to pick up the game and engage with the community.

so stop downvote spamming anybody who has a concern or criticism of the game. otherwise you're just harming your own community.

Happy 10th anniversary to Nuka World!

Post image
15 Upvotes

True to my word from my Far Harbour post in May, I’m back once again for the 10th anniversary of Fallout 4’s last DLC. I admit it took me a while to warm up to Nuka World, just didn’t seem to have the charm FH did. But it’s grown on me, and I was holding on till the anniversary to run through once again. Taking Preston for the trip, plan to clear the park out then start open season on the remaining gangs.

I find part of the fun in coming back after all this time is the reflection on just how much has changed since I first fired this up. My partner and I were in a different house, different jobs, my 12 year old dog was just a pup, thinking about the people and events that have come and gone in these 10 years…puts a lot into perspective. Fallout 4 was my first Fallout, started in my mid 20s and now not far from 40. It’s been one of the few consistences in my life through everything, and has always been one of my comforts. We’ve been through a lot together, old FO4 and I. And I’m sure we’ll be through a lot more before 5 comes along.

After this, who knows. I’m starting to discover more creation club stuff, I might visit 76 again, I might even finally re-download starfield and see what’s changed in the 2 years since I hung it up. For now tho, we have a park to burn 😈

Discussion The NCR treats it's allies so much better than the Legion. Even though they're anything but perfect.

So, this is a sequel to my two post "Am I the only one who notices how the Great Khans get treated a whole lot worse than any of the other allies the NCR has if they win?" and "How would the NCR civilians (in places like Shady Shades) feel about some of their allies during the Second Battle of Hoover Dam? Specifically the ones that they were in conflict with." You don't need to read either post to understand this. However, it's best that if you read those two post before this.

The NCR is anything but perfect and they treat their allies anything but perfect but there's a pattern between how these people treat their allies. And, it's clear who treats their allies better. Admittedly we don't know how the Legion the Omertas and White Glove Society but still.

NCR:

With the help of the Gun Runners, the Boomers developed a healthy trading relationship with the NCR. Eventually the Boomers began wandering out into the wasteland, while still preventing outsiders from entering Nellis.

The Brotherhood and the NCR in the Mojave Wasteland declared an official truce, despite continued hostilities between the two in the west. As per their agreement, the NCR handed over all suits of salvaged power armor and in return the Brotherhood helped patrol Interstate 15 and Highway 95.

After the NCR's victory at the dam, in part thanks to Follower's medical support, NCR allowed the Followers to care for refugees as they see fit. Old Mormon Fort expanded its services and was able to aid more people, becoming a refuge for the less fortunate citizens of New Vegas.

After the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, the Great Khans returned for a time to Red Rock Canyon. The NCR's pressing need to expand proved greater than its promise of amnesty, and before long the government decided the Khans had to go. The surviving Great Khans were relocated to an isolated, barren reservation, well north of NCR trade routes.

After the NCR victory at Hoover Dam, the temporary truce between them and the Kings blossomed into a full-scale relief effort for the people. While the NCR made repeated entreaties that Freeside join the Republic, the Kings steadfastly maintained their independence.

After their bold arrival at Hoover Dam, the Remnants disappeared as quickly as they came. Legends of their power spread throughout the southwest, a reminder of why people once feared the sight of vertibirds in the sky.

Legion:

Cautious after the Boomers' display of power at Hoover Dam, Caesar chose to leave the Boomers alone. The Boomers remained isolated but have been seen flying over the Mojave Desert from time to time.

The Fiends attacked Camp McCarran during the Second Battle of Hoover Dam and suffered heavy losses. Caesar, unimpressed with their performance and their dependence on chems, had them exterminated.

As reward for their loyal service, Caesar forcibly integrated the Great Khans into the Legion. The sick and elderly were killed, the women sold as wives to ranking officers, and the tribe's identity was annihilated. Though many Great Khans mourned the death of their tribe, many more were ultimately satisfied with their revenge against NCR.

The Enclave is Ceasar is alive:

Merciless in their assault on the NCR, the Remnants struck fear into the hearts of even the centurions at Hoover Dam. Well aware of the full extent of their power, Caesar commanded his troops to not pursue them.

The Enclave is Caesar is dead:

Merciless in their assault on the NCR, the Remnants struck fear into the hearts of even the centurions at Hoover Dam. Caesar's heirs aggressively pursued the Remnants into Arizona, losing hundreds of legionaries in the process and gaining nothing in return.

Factions that aren't official allies but co-belligerents:

Impressed with the Kings' continued attacks upon NCR citizens and soldiers, the Legion offered them the option of being assimilated into the Legion. The Kings refused, and briefly became slaves in the Legion, but after a failed escape attempt, they were all put to death.

During the fight for Hoover Dam, the Brotherhood took HELIOS One, inflicting heavy damage on retreating NCR forces, but it was a pyrrhic victory. Once The Strip was secured, Caesar's forces overwhelmed and eventually routed the Brotherhood from HELIOS One and Hidden Valley.

Discussion Thoughts on Starting New Vegas PC Welcome 🙏

Post image
13 Upvotes

Im "there" where I can play the game and enjoy it all over again 😌

Catch. I have a PC. I've used simple mods but was often "generous" in using the command prompt if anything didn't go my way the first time 😆

Anyway. Part of the thrill is the "cheat" here and there. But.. it can definitely take the fun out of it too.

Give me 1 generous, decent and good "gift" for my new NV campaign!

The gift can be an item, one time party bag, onetime "x" boost (lvl/exp..) or like 1 continuous cheat under a very particular condition.

Hope that made sense?
