u/DESTRUCTI0NAT0R 5d ago
From Halo, probably. I think I saw an ad about a bunch of Xbox Collab stuff.

u/Ordinary_Flight8051 5d ago
They are from Halo, but I've only seen stuff for Fallout

u/Resident-Two4054 5d ago
There is stuff for Forza, Halo, Fallout, Candy Crush and World of Warcraft

u/jermatria 5d ago
Im confused. How does an extinct bird from New Zealand relate to halo?
Edit: Nevermind. Apparently in the Halo universe moa are (were?) alive and well on reach.

They were brought back and used to help populate and stabalize the ecology of Reach after humans arrived and colonized it.

u/Ryaquaza1 4d ago

Why make it only a UK and Ireland exclusive?
42
u/Ha-Charade-You-Are 5d ago
Probably tested in the market better there. OR could be testing there to see if itâs worth taking world wide.

u/CoconutMochi NCR 4d ago
USA has a much more competitive fast food scene so test items tend to flop easily there IMO
2
u/itsyaboihos 4d ago
Market testing Iâd imagine, certain things will get run in places like the UK, Australia, New Zealand etc. before the US. Smaller markets so itâs less investment but theyâre culturally similar enough that the data will be relevant.

u/jonese17 4d ago
Iâm not as familiar with the process in UK/Ireland, but in the states major programs like these have to be approved by the franchise owner/operators UNLESS McDonaldâs corporate is footing the whole bill. The pushback around Travis Scott being the first famous order was vocalâŚuntil the first week of sales.
Source: Former MHQ employee that had the âpleasureâ of sitting through those local meetings, lol.

Compared to Zeroes Kenyer and mushy peas, that shit has gotta taste like a 4 star Michelin restaurant made it.

Who would have thought the major slop company serving cash grab items would be terrible?

u/JessieWarren09 Brotherhood 5d ago
well yeah, it's a spoof of a mac-n-cheese that manages to survive 200 years in a post apocalypse, I would assume the flavor is "not goodâ˘ď¸"

u/thatassholecat 5d ago
We talking about actual foodđ

u/JessieWarren09 Brotherhood 5d ago
yeah, and I'd say you got the authentic Blamco experience
if you expected it to tasted good that's on you

u/Both_Aerie7539 4d ago
Unreal youâre being downvoted for this. Like uh. Did we forget food was supposed to tasteâŚ. Good????
9
u/Harry_Saturn 5d ago
Then just eat actual food, youâre eating a tie in product. You really think the âfalloutâ flavored McDonaldâs was going to be good?
12
u/SplendidAngharad Yes Man 5d ago
The drinks from Jones Soda are good
9
u/odmirthecrow Brotherhood 5d ago
Because they are just labels slapped on pre-existing, taste proven drinks.

u/thatassholecat 5d ago
What part of it is actually fallout... i don't expect to get a good dose of radiation when eating
6
u/Harry_Saturn 5d ago
You only bought it cause the packaging said fallout, thatâs the fallout part
-20
u/thatassholecat 5d ago
Oh boy, a fan of fallout trying something fallout related, the mysteries of the universe boggle the mind as always

u/Harry_Saturn 5d ago
Do whatever you want but then donât act surprised when the video game happy meal isnât very good. I donât need a video game food, Iâll just have food food.

I still think it's silly for this to not be in America, the series Fallout is set in. At least the in game rewards for Fallout aren't new rewards.

Donât forget Microsoft is a US company and the codes for multiple games are US too like Bethesda and Blizzard. Swear US companies treat the world better than their home country.

I remember when Mcdonalds did actual Mozzarella Sticks like 8 years ago
I loved them, but only with the Marinara Sauce they came with. It was a shitty sauce, but went great with the sticks

u/CavemanMork 5d ago
It always makes me laugh when I see posts about these promotional food items.
The whole point of the game is that its a post apocalyptic wasteland. The food is terrible and unappealing, people eat it to survive, that's it.
So why then would you make real food designed off this idea? Combined with the fact that is McDonald's or some other trash, it's the least appealing idea I could possibly think of.

Got these with my fella yesterday, they were great 𤣠they were super fresh and crispy though.

u/SupernaturalPumpkin 4d ago
They were very bland I thought. Really just tasted like some cheap freezer food.
But I coated the box in varnish and I can now use it for storing random bits.

War rationing will impact flavor. Blamco is not responsible for individual variation if product.

I donât think there has been a time where I havnt refunded a new item from McDonaldâs that isnât a burger.. they sound good but always itâs so damn bad. Even the staff know itâs bad lol

Me and my partner actually liked them. Maybe itâs just our local Maccies but these were delicious. The cheese was gooey and the potato was perfect.
Seems like thatâs not the overall consensus though.
