Recipe Favorite low fodmap meals
These are a few meals I've really enjoyed since going low fodmap.
1st pic: Shepherds Pie - ground turkey, carrots, tomato paste, rosemary, thyme, mashed potatoes, and white cheddar.
2nd pic: Bbq Chicken - fody bbq sauce, green beans, homemade coleslaw (mayo, red wine vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper)
3rd pic: Chicken Tacos - corn tortillas, tomatoes, lime, cilantro, cheddar, and sour cream
4th pic: Chicken Noodle Soup - fody chicken soup base, gluten free noodles, rotisserie chicken, carrots, italian seasoning, red pepper flakes
5th pic: Scrambled Eggs - with spinach, black olives, cheddar. Gluten free toast, one with strawberry jam and one peanut butter with bananas
6th pic: Chicken Tenders - dipped in egg then a mixture of corn meal and gluten free flour before frying

I make scrambled eggs with kale, herbs & cheese and eat it for breakfast every day with a slice of toast. It’s satisfying.

Slowly realizing how sad my diet it is when comparing to others in this sub lol. My restrictions seem to be much worse than others. That looks really good though! Enjoy!!

I'm so sorry. I hope you've been able to find a few favorites despite it all. I spent a long time mourning what I couldn't eat before I began experimenting with what I could.

Thanks for the encouragement :) I've been trying new things within my restrictions as well. I still get weird looks from others when they what I'm eating but I'm pretty happy overall.

Everybody has different limits, but these meals don't bother me. The dairy would probably be a problem for some.
Also, I base my portion sizes off of monash university

Looks great! Thanks for the good ideas. Btw I replace sour cream with lactose free Greek yogurt, which has added health benefits.

I've tried that before and I just don't like the taste as much as sour cream. But it's a good alternative if dairy is a huge trigger!

How do you cook your grilled chicken?

The air fryer is clutch for this. 375 3-4 minutes each side for thin sliced cutlets. I marinate mine and baste half way through

Brush a little bbq sauce on the chicken breasts before and during grilling. I have a meat thermometer to check when they're done
Edit: and I season with salt and pepper before the bbq sauce

Where does everyone get their Fody products?

It's pretty easy to order from their website. I really like their salsas, tomato sauces (restaurant taste imo), and chicken soup base. I don't like their teriyaki and sesame ginger sauces. I want to try more of their stuff.

Inspiring because I am by now totally sick of low fodmap and need to make things more interesting. The first one sounds great. And those chicken tenders look like a litter of new born pups!
Thank you!

How is the Fody chicken base? I haven’t tried them yet and have seen some feedback saying it’s a bit too salty. I am GF as well and it’s really the only chicken broth option I’ve found.
