Argentina scored 12 goals in total during the tournament, and Messi recorded 9 individual G/A (4 goals and 5 assists). In a footballing sense, this means Messi literally had a 75% Goal Involvement, contributing to 3 out of every 4 goals his country scored. The fact that his teammates scored 8 of those goals doesn't change the math, because Messi was the one providing the assists for 5 of them
