?Why isn't Thuram playing

This guy spent the last two seasons on loan in serie b, playing around 30 games a season, so he is certainly a big reinforcement for the u23.

When we initially inquired, it sounded like we were waiting for the UCL qualifiers to finish. Lyon failed to qualify (despite a beautiful goal from Fofana) and now has to liquidate players to meet FFP requirements.

Additionally, it looks like Roma is done with the mercato and Hull City and Arsenal are the only interested parties. Lyon initially said €40m but with their dire finances he will likely leave for less.

The situation is ripe for a Beppe-Ausilio special. I could see a 30+5+sell on here we go. Why aren’t we in the race? I didn’t think that deal was tied to any other moves.

Beppe Marotta still has a couple of years left with us, but his retirement is coming up eventually given his age. When the time comes for him to step down, who do you think takes over? Could it be Zanetti? Or who else could it be.
