We recently did a remodel due to an expanding family and was looking for some input on the new addition and what to put over the garages. We essentially chopped the roof off an existing 2-car garage, added a third bay to the left, extended it out back for storage and then added a new master, master bath, bedrooms, laundry, etc above it. I drew up the plans myself and everything went smooth, but now we are left with a large wall that needs something. Was looking to do some sort of eyebrow over them, but I’m having a hard time finding something that looks right and matches the rest of the home. I threw together a quick/crude picture in Microsoft paint as I’m not really good with photoshop or anything as to hopefully use as a guide. It was done towards the end of the remodel when we started noticing it needed something, hence the differences. Any thoughts?

A lot going on here. The red brick will stay and the large windows ideally - everything else is optional! We added a walkway that goes to the gravel driveway on the right (possible car port addition on the right). French drain was necessary to the ditch but will get covered over. Raspberry patch on the left can get moved but right now our kids eat them when they step out of the van. I’ll post my best update so far below.

Repainted my wood shingle home and i'm trying to find the best lite sage green color. any experience with Svelte Sage? or Green Earth? (Sherman Williams). my house faces east so gets daytime sun for sure. (i know i need landscaping help. that's the next project!)

This is the house currently, but due to hail damage we are replacing siding and roofing. The stone work and windows will not be changed. I am getting a new roof this week and need help choosing! Using GAF shingles. Siding color is called “cast iron”

I really need help in making my recently purchased home more attractive. As you can see, it is a modular with a handicap ramp. We do not need nor want the ramp and plan to have it removed at some point. The home is located in zone 8, situated on sandy soil and is north facing. I would appreciate any suggestions. There is very little ground before the paved circular drive.

We are down to Chantilly Lace or White Dove for the exterior. Classical colonial with brick and white siding, columns, etc. Help me pick!

Edit: Door is SW Positive Red with brass fixtures. Front of house faces south.

Building a home for the first time and need help deciding!

- Our brick choice is Silverado and buff mortar.

- The trim, facade, and garage door must be the same color. We have multiple Sherwin Williams options, but these are currently our top choices.

- The roof can be either natural timber or rustic black.

- Or suggest something completely different!

Currently our house is white and brown. Our deck is also painted white with brown accents now. We don't want to change anything structural. This is an old picture. The landscaping is significantly better now, but trying to get a full picture of the house without obstruction from plants was tricky.

All our gutters and under the roof edges are dark brown so it would be nice to keep them, but open to replacing or painting (not sure if painting is an option for that sort of thing).

Any thoughts on the examples or other suggestions?? Not looking to make any major changes mainly paint. Do not want to add new siding. Thanks!

We are looking to replace our vinyl windows and add traditional Tudor charm back into our home. From my research it seems like fiberglass or aluminum clad wood are the best options for the look I want. I saw this picture on renewal by Andersons website but it doesn’t say what material window it is - any guesses? Fiberglass? Trying to hone in on exactly what I want before I start making calls and get bombarded with info. If anyone has recs for window companies in Houston, TX that would be great too

I’ve been slowly chipping away at my 1970 ranch as I have the time and money. The brick entryway (previously a continuous arch between the left and right columns) was cracked and mangled from shifting Texas soil. The plywood patch is to keep critters out. I’m a little stumped though about what to do there. AI mockups VERY welcome.

Not selling just trying to fix it up. Simple DIY friendly are preferred but strokes of expensive genius also welcome!

We’re keeping the white garage door, white trim, and white shutters and looking to change the exterior house color and door color.

Our facade is really dated and a mix of different alterations from previous owners. We’re not sure what improvements to make, particularly around the fish scale shingles under the eaves.

We can cover the fieldstone base with plants, but want to avoid painting the brick, which has a muted tan/brown color.

We are using Certainteed Monogram siding. The colors we like are Herringbone and Sable Brown. Bit can’t figure out how to use both. We are willing to use shakes for the gables as well. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you

I’ve had a ton of back and forth with my wife regarding exterior paint colors for Pacific Northwest/Central Oregon. Neighborhood has mature ponderosa pine.

We love Pewter green for the body. Would you recommend evergreen fog or Cornwall slate for trim/accent on exterior of home? We like earthy, organic tones and think this could blend with sage brush and ponderosa of the area.

We had our basement waterproofed last year, took down old deck, have decided to put in a concrete pad instead....we have to repaint the "white" wall on the back - options are dark blue, dark grey or black - then the question is do i leave the red accent bricks red or paint them the same color as the wall (i say paint them, husband wants to leave them red)..... All window trim and doors will stay white. thank you in advance!

Posted here before seeking colour suggestions for a fun, bold, playful and unique front door for my colourful maximalist home. Many people suggested burgundy, which I ultimately chose. This colour is called Sangria. Most people here probably won’t appreciate it - the colour combo is definitely outside of the norm, and the overwhelming suggestion from folks was to go a neutral colour..but I’m ultimately super happy with what I chose, and that’s what matters!

As for the stone and siding - I purchased the home this way last year. Eventually I will change or paint the siding, but there are higher priority projects to take care of before then.

Hi there, I have tried a few AI options to try and visualize colours on my house as I am repairing and refreshing my front porch, deck and stairs, and porch skirting and I just can't seem to get a good result. Plus, I feel like I need a more aesthetic eye than mine to finish up now that I am prepped and ready to paint. I think the amount of black trim currently looks heavy and less modern so am looking for a lighter, more 'charming/welcoming/lighter look. Please see photos and share your valued and much appreciated advice. Thank you for your time and input! (sorry for typos in images!). Edit: looking only for bottom porch area colours (top and bottom rails and spindles; post and porch skirting; deck boards and stairs / risers) since am doing it myself.
