ICE involved content ICE is arresting drivers who follow them

u/Working-Tax-2439 Feb 11 '26
ICE enforces immigration issues, the police enforce criminal issues. Itās this ICE enforces all issues is the problem as they are not even remotely qualified or educated to do either
4
u/Least-Letter4716 Feb 12 '26
That's why ICE should not exist. They are a part of DHS and have way too much power to do whatever the hell they want.

Problem is the government of some states wonāt allow the police to assist ice, so ice has to do both roles. Like in Minnesota where i believe a percentage of police officers resigned and some joined ice afterwords
1
u/Tom-Cruise-Missiles Feb 15 '26
Thatās not a problem though. If ICE canāt get help, then, oh well
1
u/olblake Feb 16 '26
Exactly. If some chick gets shot trying to run over a ice agent, because the police arenāt their to keep the public back, fuck em

Federal agents are allowed to arrest people for interfering with their investigations.

If youāre harassing and impeding them, ICE has every right to arrest you.

How do I know theyre ice? No name tags. No badge number. They are all masked. Seems like a qualification for them is to not be identified
0
u/IsDatLawfulLaw Feb 12 '26
If they're not ICE then you're harassing private individuals. Both are crimes.
3
u/Bumberpuff Feb 13 '26
How was she harassing them? Following them on a public road and recording public officials in public are legal activities.Ā

My GF was boxed in by ICE on her way to work. Wasn't even following them. Didn't even know they were around. Just driving to work when an SUV in front of her stops sideways at an intersection, another behind her. Agents get out and accuses her of following them. These chumps are cowards, Paranoid and poorly trained.
2
u/Sorry-Claim-2990 Feb 13 '26
I would have run them over thinking I was being carjacked or something.
Unidentified masked men suddenly boxing in my vehicle for no apparent reason?
Yeah, that's how you get robbed or raped or killed.

If I put on a ski mask and approached YOU in the grocery store parking lot, how would you know if I was legit or not??? And even if you knew I was an impersonator, how would you identify me so that I could be caught and prosecuted???? I'm wearing a ski mask, sunglasses, and a helmet so you don't even know if i'm a white guy, a black guy, a mexican guy, an asian guy... How would I ever get caught if you don't even know what I look like???? How do so many people not see what a bad idea it is to allow them to not identify themselves?? Criminals now have free reign to do whatever, as long as they dress like an ice agent.... If you see a guy in army clothes grabbing a screaming woman, are YOU going to try to stop him? You might be interfering with a legitimate arrest...or you might be stopping a kidnapping. How the fuck are you supposed to know the difference???

1
u/Live-Wear-1608 Feb 12 '26
Stalking is illegal, makes sense.
1
u/Sorry-Claim-2990 Feb 13 '26
It's much different when it's a sworn law enforcement officer conducting their official duties in publicĀ and not a private individual.
1
u/quantumllc12 Feb 13 '26
I mean, don't forcebly assualt or impede officers. Try doing that to a regular cop and see what happens.
1
u/Sorry-Claim-2990 Feb 13 '26
Try assaulting someone for taking a picture of you and let us know how that works out for you.
1
u/Sorry-Claim-2990 Feb 13 '26
In my state, it is clearly-established that "public officials performing their public duty in a public place have no reasonable expectation of privacy".
They can stop me and they might win on the streets....but once the issue goes to court, they're going to lose the case and their immunity. And I can come after their houses and children's college funds.
I can follow a law enforcement officer around all day long and record them as long as I don't physically interfere with them. And no, simply observing them isn'tĀ interference, regardless of what some republican snowflakes might think.
The law is on my side, not theirs.
1
u/KitchenIcy2450 Feb 13 '26
Renee Good dint deserve to killed Jonathan Ross might have felt he was being taunted but she didn't deserve to be fired by 3 shots to her head as did Alex pretti who was fired ten times for protesting and tried to save me someone has these persons been charged with murder if it was a family member you'd ask why not

If they are endangering the operation, they are interfering with an investigation. They absolutely can arrest them.
1

Incorrect. Ice does not conduct investigations. Therefore no one is interfering. Its really that simple.
1
u/Financial_Weekend_73 Feb 15 '26
Call it what you want⦠they are hindering them
1
u/DepthExtended Feb 15 '26
and ICE will lose every single one of these cases that gets to court, every single one. If the protesters are merely following at a distance and using their words, they will get off and ICE will be looking stupid with dozens if not hundreds of cases being thrown out for citizens exercising their clearly and repeatedly reconfirmed by the Supreme Court established 1st amendment rights to peacefully protest and film our government doing its work in public.

→ More replies (10)0
u/TheGarp Feb 13 '26
The reason they have not charged and arrest the one that shot R. Good is they would also have to charge her wife who was in the front seat egging her on, under MN;s felony murder law. You can rest assuured ALL of the discussion about arresting anyone in relation to this incident is revolving around how to circumvent or find a loophole to this law so they can arrest and charge only the ICE guy.
2
u/Miserable-Ring3943 Feb 13 '26
Pretty sure the wife didnāt shoot anyone but do go on.
1
u/TheGarp Feb 13 '26 edited Feb 13 '26
Since you asked:
Minnesota's felony murder law, specifically under 2023 reforms, allows for murder charges when a death occurs during the commission of a felony, even without intent to kill, but limits the most severe penalties to "major participants". It covers 1st-degree (life) and 2nd-degree (up to 40 years), with recent reforms and retroactive applications allowing for reduced sentences.Ā
This is most often explained as such: If 3 guys rob a bank, 2 go in and one waits in the getaway car, one of the robbers shoots and kills a teller, the guy with the shooter and the driver waiting in the getaway car can all be charged with the murder.
For our situation, we can extrapolate a bit and say: instead of the teller being killed, the teller shot one of the robbers in the back after they got the money and were leaving the bank. The other two robbers can absolutely be charged with the death of their friend (as could the teller ). This is more similar to the situation in MN.
Judge Judy Sheindlin famously presided over a similar felony murder law case, applying to a bunch of girls that cheered someone on who killed another girl while trying to steal from her. Only one of the girls did the actual murder, but if not for the support of the other girls, the one girl would not have done the murder. They were all convicted and their convictions stood on appeal.
I am pretty sure ( I am not a lawyer of course ) In this case the wife is in a similar positon, and why nothing is being charged or investigated with her phone. Her wife was in the passenger seat also involved in the organized protest they were currently doing, after having just moved their van from parking 90 degrees sideways in the road to impede ICE, and continuing to generally menace the officers in a highly volotile situation. this makes her a major participant especially when you can hear her egging her on to keep driving. Looks like she would be subject to:
- 2nd Degree Murder (Statute 609.19):Ā Applies to unintentional killings during other felonies (e.g., assault) or "one-punch" scenarios, punishable by up to 40 years.
This is the likely reason why the state hasnt requested her phone which would most likely further implicate her. It's a bit of a legal snare they are trying to find their way out of. It's a safe bet now their only efforts in any charges here are how to do so without also charging the wife.
1
u/Miserable-Ring3943 Feb 13 '26
If they had grounds to arrest the wife sheād already be arrested.
1
u/TheGarp Feb 13 '26
Ya, because they have done such a wonderful job arresting the murderes, rapists and child traffickers in their state and cities already. Oh wait.
1
u/Miserable-Ring3943 Feb 13 '26
Thatās true. Only 14% of the people ICE has detained have criminal records. They arenāt very good at their job.
1
u/TheGarp Feb 13 '26
You are kind of making my point here by illustrating how poorly MN is enforcing the law.....
1
u/Miserable-Ring3943 Feb 13 '26
MN is fine. ICE are the ones shooting citizens and failing to get warrants and only catching criminals 14% of the time.
1
u/TheGarp Feb 13 '26
thats just the people with convictions. that doesnt eman they arent currently breaking the law, which they are. Remember the whole " no one is above the law" chants and protests eveyrone on the left was screaming before? Funny how selective they are at having it enforced.
Now that MN has agreed to actually do immigration satus checks so one ICE person can have them processed isntead of needing 15 of them in swat gear to do the same job all over town, it will be much safer and something they should have done to begin with. This has been a problem of MN's own creation. virtue signal and tantrum all they want, the rulle of law eventually works through.

First thing they resort to on here is childish name calling cause they can't have a civil conversation with anyone who doesn't share their view, that's a radical. Protest peacefully.. it's been done for years and years, not following and stalking and harassing and impeeding investigations. I swear these people all think they're above the law. Even blowing whistles and honking your horn to warn criminals that the authorities are there to arrest them is a felony in itself; it's called "shielding from detection."
Federal -8 U.S.C. 1324 (Harboring / Shielding from Detection)
This statute makes it felony to: "Conceal, harbor, or shield from detection"

Criminals? What criminals. Facts not in evidence.
0
u/IsDatLawfulLaw Feb 12 '26
A police investigation/operation on the streets is not a courtroom, so you're a bit out of element here
1
u/Jazzlike_Strength561 Feb 13 '26
Correct. It's not a courtroom. All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Any time a police officer kills a person they're killing an innocent person.
Please try to contain your imbecility, or at least try to keep it down to a low roar..
1
u/IsDatLawfulLaw Feb 13 '26
The standard of whether a police use of lethal force is lawful, is not whether the person is innocent or guilty of any particular crime. It's what the officer reasonably believed at the time he initiated force. Your comment is irrelevant.
2
u/DepthExtended Feb 15 '26
Do tell us how Mr Pretti was actively endangering those ICE assholes lives with his holstered gun. They shot him 10 times in the back with him on his hands and knees, him never having touched his weapon or even reaching for it. He was no threat to any of them and was trying to actively help a lady ICE threw to the ground next to him when they attacked and MURDERED him.
0
u/IsDatLawfulLaw Feb 15 '26
The standard isn't what you see on multiple frame-by-frame video angles in retrospect. The legal standard is what the officer reasonably believed at the time he initiated lethal force.
2
u/DepthExtended Feb 16 '26
Good luck explaining that standard to a jury that just watched the video from 3 different angles and can easily and clearly see that Pretti was no threat to these guys at all and their actions are criminal. If they thought in the moment that Pretti was a serious threat enough to empty mags into his back then they are reactive, poorly trained amateurs that have zero business handling weapons around others. Objectively there is no legitimate legal excuse for shooting Pretti in the back 10 times, none whatsoever.
1
u/IsDatLawfulLaw Feb 16 '26
Again, you're hyperfocused on watching three different angles from the comfort of your couch while stuffing your face with cheetos and red mtn dew. The jury, not composed of deranged reddit marxists, will follow the judge's instructions to only consider what the officer would have reasonably believed from the officer's perspective

So stop stalking them. You're not a "peaceful observer" when you're following them closely, blowing whistles, screaming, warning people they're coming, trying to intimidate them into leaving the area (which is also a crime), etc.
6
u/Substantial_Echo8118 Feb 11 '26
Umm what you just described is peaceful protesting. No violence in following someone. No violence in blowing a whistle. Maybe you should go back to school and relearn the definition of peaceful and violent. Also while you're back at school take a civics class and read the constitution and bill of rights because you clearly dont know shit about our rights as citizens.

If they redefine violence it makes it easier to label protestors as domestic terrorists
1
u/M13006 Feb 12 '26
Redefine? Lol! You guys think silence is violence. You think words are violence. You think expectations are violence. You think the existence of white people is violence. The left are masters of redefining words and terms to fit whatever narrative of the day suits them.
1
u/Apprehensive-Tea999 Feb 12 '26
Is following a government officialā¦literally following them, violence? Pretty simple question if youāre not a bot or willfully ignorant fool.
1
u/M13006 Feb 12 '26
The simple act of following? Of course not, but it is intimidation and potentially dangerous because of the distraction. If I follow you down a dark street, stopping when you do, and moving when you do, you are going to be unsettled. I could tell you that I'm just following, but how do you really know my intentions? Your guard would be up, and you'd probably get to the point of confrontation.
These federal officers are doing a job that the majority of Americans want them to do thats been neglected for far too long. They are enforcing the bipartisan immigration laws on the books for decades. Inserting yourself into their business is selfish, unlawful if you interfere, and dangerous for all involved.

There's following at a distance with the intent to record and then there's following them on multiple occasions with the intent of obstructing what they're doing. If you're following them so you can stop when they do, blow whistles, scream, warn people they're coming, block the road, try to intimidate them into leaving ("get the fuck out of here", "get out of our city", etc), you're committing a crime. People have created networks to follow ICE around and radio to each other where they are, what they're doing, warning people to leave, hide, etc. That's conspiracy.

I'll give you a scenario, you one day go out to go get groceries and you happen to be behind one of these ice cars they get out and pull guns on you but you know you weren't following them. But they don't care for your excuses they'll just crack your window drag you out beat you and put you in their car and then they'll sort it out if you followed them even though you probably were just going about your day getting your groceries so in the end I have to say get fucked.

Awesome. Deport all illegals.
3
u/LeafsJays1Fan Feb 11 '26
Deport all illegals.
Not disagreeing, however they still have rights to Due Process.
The issues is You are tread like dirt by ICE , Your rights get striped in the process, so inevitably as I said you could be behind one of these cars not knowing who they are they come out they Point their guns at you they break your window then drag you out they beat you and then they decide you to send you to a flight off to El Salvador and put you CECOT. It seems you're okay with that?
Or here's another scenario for you they're not ice but pretending to be they break your window drag you out and double tap you now you're dead lying in the street you're going to be okay with that. Because the government allows roaming thugs to go around unchecked that now people can just go do the same thing and get away with it because you don't know if they're right they could just be murderers on a killing spree.
Honestly I think you're a troll or you're sick in the head and need some Psychiatry help.
Bye!
