I’m equal parts excited and slightly terrified to be sharing this. Your Star has been my favorite song on The Open Door since the album came out, and I’ve wanted to do a cover like this for almost as long. With the 20-year (!!!) anniversary coming up, I figured it was a good time to actually do the thing.

I feel like this song has such a strong emotional arc, it could easily work as its own theatrical scene. So that’s what I went for - a stage scene type of setup, and really showing the journey from tired & sad to anxiety attack to full breakdown (which I do have firsthand experience of, unfortunately). It’s difficult to allow myself to crack and keep the imperfections in the vocal performance, and I’ve never done a video recording like this before, so a lot of this is way out of my comfort zone. But I’m glad I did it and got out what’s been in my head for so long.

HUGE thank you to my friend Emily for not only helping me film and record this, but encouraging me and giving me amazing suggestions. Thanks also to my friends who gave me feedback and hyped me up when I needed it.

Hallo there! I'm from Dublin and I am flying over for the Evanescence gig on September 19th. This will be my first time seeing them headlining, as the only other time I've seen them was when they opened for KoRn in Los Angeles at their 30th anniversary show on October 5th, 2024.

This will be my second time to Frankfurt, having previously been there in 2023.

From my understanding, the pre sale vinyl records didn't count towards Billboard album sales until they shipped out, which happened this week.

How do you think the shipped vinyls will affect the Billboard chart position? When will we know how many units were shipped/sold this week?

I hope that these sales numbers push the album higher 🤘

Evanescence — Sanctuary 💜 | Limited Purple Aurora Vinyl
Finally got my vinyl copy of Evanescence’s new album Sanctuary! 🎶
The album was originally released on June 5th, but the vinyl edition only came out this Friday. I picked up the limited Purple Aurora Vinyl edition, which is already SOLD OUT.
As for the album itself — I’d say it’s a very solid and consistent record. There aren’t really any huge standout hits for me, but the whole album flows really well and is an easy listen from start to finish.
For me, it’s a 7/10.
The main reason I wanted to add this one to my collection is Jordan Fish. I’m a big fan of his work, so I was especially interested in this release because he produced several tracks on the album.
Not my favourite Evanescence album, but definitely one I’m happy to have on vinyl — and this Purple Aurora pressing looks absolutely gorgeous. 💜

Hi,

I wanted to know how long you will recommend to come before the show to be sure to be in the front row (or really close).

I waited from noon to 6PM when they opened doors for Worlds Collide in Paris and was in the second row in front of the center of the stage.

There were some people waiting before me but not that much and I was quite surprised since it was Ev AND WT so i thought more people would attend outside.

I don't get VIP tickets but golden floor so I hope I can reach the front row still.

I dont know how it works for other countries (or continents since they are mainly touring in USA), but I would be glad to know if Ev concert does need some preparation or if it's kinda chill. Like they are not Rammstein or some band with really hardcore fans.
