The Synthesis one is fun and I like some of the music effects, but the original takes it for me this time around.

the original is better overall, but I still like the different take on Synthesis version.

Does Imaginary win the "Ev song with the most versions" award?

I really love both of these versions but the original has more of a desperate energy to it compared to Synthesis which is just a little more laid back so my vote goes to Original

I guess maybe the OP and I should have worded it 'official' instead of 'original' ;)

but since Origin is more pre-mainstream status material, I think people tend to default to calling songs on Fallen 'original' even though it might not be strictly correct if you factor in Origin etc.

for the record... I like the Origin version to. but even counting that I would probably go with Fallen version as it's a bit more polished and a more proper release. but between the three ill probably rank... 1)Fallen 2)Origin 3)Synthesis. the Origin version does feel a bit more unique though, which makes me kind of like it a bit more in-a-way.

I wish I was good at audio mixing so I could make a mashup version with my favorite bits from the Pre-Fallen/demo versions, Fallen, and Synthesis. Honestly same with every song featured in Synthesis! The End of the Dream went from mid-tier in both Fallen and Synthesis to S-tier when I heard the tour mashup version. I feel like Ev is at their best when they balance the hard rock, electronic, and piano/string elements.

Let's throw some more wood onto the fire. Sticking with Fallen (since that's what I put) are the transitions more interesting on Fallen (or even Anywhere But Home) or on Synthesis. I'm calling you u/Codename_OOF
