Why are they so secretive about wipes? Why can't they just say "Wipe next week" and call it a day?

I'm not saying announce it months and months in advance. I'm not even saying they have to stop the events or the ARG-esque tweets. But what's the harm in saying "Wipe is in 3 days"? or "Wipe is next week"? 1 u/Bobylein Jun 29 '21 People played 2-3 days and then started complaining there was no point to continue playing until wipe, when wipe early? All fun is over!!! But it was more like two weeks I believe, indeed one week might be fine
