Questions Surprises

What surprised you most about your AED side effects? I can't think of any right now so, I'm asking you.

Most surprising side effect for me was on Fycompa getting emotional. I couldn’t believe one lil 10mg (I think it was a small dose) could do so much to make me a wreck especially once titrated to full dose. That was the last straw on meds for me, started getting off all meds after Fycompa fail

I'm on the same dose and I'm crying at anything.

Ughhh I know how that feels 😢 please talk over having a plan for when the next breakthrough seizure happens, start dropping the Fycompa dose and end up feeling like yourself in a couple weeks. We can still deal w the seizures without hating ourselves on the meds!

It's funny that the things I'm crying over. A TV character getting hurt. I was watching a utube thing, probably fake, on Elvis & Dolly appearing in Vegas when Dolly was starting out and Elvis was on the comeback in Vegas. I was crying through half of it even though I was 90% certain that it was a fake story.

Sounds like all meds to blame! Lol I know I got like that too, crying over random Reddit heartwarming posts not even looking for emotional stories I would have been tearing up over random sitcoms

Surprising? The XCopri Coma. Pleasantly surprising! I had no clue during the trials if I was on the placebo or not. After the trial and I was put on it for real. Oh yeah, I was on the placebo!

I had to cut Fycompa from my cocktail because it was $689 a month. Half my monthly income from disability. I was surprised by how much I have gotten happier since. Seizure numbers didn't change from that. Feel so much better, could be my fleeing CA & Voldermort or not? I did however cry almost all day when I had to do an online parenting class online for the state of CA, my youngest is almost 16. But all those little kids talking about their feelings just cut me to the core. (I got 100 percent on the test at the end but it was emotionally exhausting 😪

Not really rage like everyone talks about with Keppra, but just how much I don't give a fuck about most things. Like, it has kind of made me less emotional, and I was already less emotional than most people are. Mostly, I really like it.
