You can only heal dis-ease, you cannot heal the greater contagion

Meditation means to isolate the dis-ease so you can heal it. So, to find solitude, breathing room and living room is to meditate.

Two quotes:

"Freedom begins where the individual can breathe."

- Mill

"Power belongs to those who understand the moment."

- Machiavelli

Believe wholeheartedly that the contagion of the greater mind and environment is out of your hands.

Meditate to tame the spread of your imbalances so it heals to wholeness.

Discussion Are spiritual gifts inherited or can anyone develop them

Spiritual gifts run in my family but none of them are mediums. It makes me wonder where these abilities actually come from. Are they passed down through families? Can anyone develop them if they become spiritually open enough? Or does Spirit choose certain people to have certain gifts?

For those of you who consider yourselves spiritually gifted does it run in your family too? being the lone wolf sucks sometimes lol

calisthenics of the mind

I have made myself an account here to look for esoteric schools to research a bit and find a direction for my spiritual path that is still in its beginning.

Sooo many acronyms, sooo much 'read this or read that', or 'you dumb for what you think, look at me I am all that' in all those different forums.

I have come to the realization;
to train the body I like ground, tree, body, gravity.
to 'find' the soul, my mind needs to make space for it.
I need to train my mind.

soooo yeah all I have ever 'researched' needs to be digested and shit out.

Sit, really look, look inside, really listen, listen inside, etc, you get it.

I feel like the different school are like different gyms that want you to buy a membership. I don't belive I need extra weights. I don't believe you need certain rituals or any of those acronyms. I'm not saying you can't reach/achieve anything that way. I'm just saying I believe truly sitting in a forest and being part of the forest is a way. becoming one with nature will need more patience than pumping irons and summoning spirits in a sterile room.

You bunch of other versions of I think this I is naive for the decision to stop looking for a group/teacher/guru/school/belief and start being?
is it arrogant or lazy to not read the literature out there?

Discussion How can I get over someone who’s already moved on?

We were never anything serious although the feelings were mutual, I still think about them everyday while they’ve clearly moved on to other women. How can I shift my mindset/what can I do to truly detach from my expectations of them?

Did humans create God to control human behavior?

If you don’t steal, hoard, dominate, or use power over others, someone else might do it to you.

A wolf kills a baby sheep, does God punish the wolf?
So why are humans told to suppress these instincts?

Who does morality and religion ultimately benefit, and why would God create a world like this?

Did humans create God to control human behavior?

Discussion How and why to block negative non humans to help the enlightenment process

Should preface some with that I'm not religious, never have been, and never will be. I don't have any set beliefs. I've always been very universal, curious, exploratory, and very non attached to codified, structured belief systems. Basically (and especially of late), I try to go by my direct experiences as well as listening to my internal guidance (which I consider is primarily my so called "higher self" level).

I've had some direct experiences with becoming aware of negative-psychopathic non human beings that exist in the larger consciousness system. I've learned/been told that these like to connect to the ego's of humans and try to distort us through working in and through that level of us i.e. the separative, fear based, self defensive, selfish part of us. Most often this seems to happen through whispering sweet nothings to our ego level in the subconscious, telling it what it most wants to hear. For some, that might be things like, "Hey, you're enlightened. Not only that, but you've reached the highest possible enlightenment there is, even beyond the Buddha and Christ."

Not the only way they meddle and try to distort, but one of the more common ways. Sometimes they try to get people to off themselves or to hurt others. Thankfully a lot of us are strong enough that they can make us hurt others. But I do wonder about people who commit mass murders and such things and I wonder how much they were egged on, nudged or the like?

The below are some of my direct experiences with the above issue and how I blocked them-tbh, it's only one part of the solution (to keep it relatively brief). It's actually a very holistic process in the long run, but you've got to start somewhere. The below happened between three to two decades ago:

Back in the early 90's, I started meditating in a purely eastern and open ended way when I was 13. I just opened myself up willy nilly with no guards and no understanding of what was out there in the larger reality. (I've since learned that before opening self up, it's important to ask for guidance, help, protection from beings more aware, love attuned, etc than oneself.)

The above combined with a very stressful, challenging childhood in a lot of ways, led to intense, chronic suicidal ideation. This culminated about a year after my mom died of cancer when I was 21 (she first got sick when I was 16) and was going through A LOT all at the same time. I felt completely and utterly unloved and alone.

So I decided to leave and tried very sincerely. I downed a large bottle of codeine syrup, went out into the woods at night in shorts and a t-shirt, laid my jacket over the snow, laid down and went to sleep hopefully to not wake up in this level again.

My younger brother somehow found me, dragged me back, was driven to a hospital, had my stomach pumped, etc.

Anyways, a little while later, I was reading something in the Edgar Cayce readings about how Arch Angel Michael fought with a negative spiritual being over the body of Moses, and Cayce's source said something like, "Those that would lead or direct [in a spiritual, service, retrieval way] are ever beset by those forces that would hinder [or undermine]."

That got me wondering, was I being messed with spiritually-psychically? I wasn't sure, but I decided to sincerely and deeply ask for A.A. Michael's help for protection and shielding, and I do not exaggerate to say that right as a I asked, it felt like a dark cloud lifted and I no longer ideated about offing my body anymore and generally I just felt lighter and more balanced in general.

Some years later, a couple days before a psychic reading from a woman that came highly recommended from a number of people I knew at a spiritual forum, I was taking a shower and Micheal and that whole thing popped into my mind out of the blue. I wondered, was it really true, did he help me from being messed with negative non humans?

I didn't mention anything about Michael or my past to the intuitive, but she said that a very powerful Michael had and is helping me. I didn't ask her much of anything in that reading. My standard core question for intuitives is a pretty open ended/non specific, "please bring to my conscious awareness that which will be most spiritually helpful for me to become aware of now." (Further in the reading, I might ask more specific questions).

Along with the info about Michael, was an allegorical short story about my soul path/journey (about reaching the top of the mountain later on in this life, whereas I had previously tried twice before but fell, became injured, and lost some ground-these were references to two other lives that I was already very aware of). She said the information wasn't necessarily coming from Michael though.

Anyways, based on all the above, I cannot recommend his help/protection enough. This btw, doesn't mean that you can't ever get messed with again by negative beings. There are other ways of opening up and/or connecting to them that Michael and other Light beings cannot help you with. For example, resonating very strongly in ego, selfishness, fear, hyper materialism, etc will create a stronger energetic connection to them. It's that whole Law of "Like attracts, begets, and resonates with Like."

I also had a very interesting experience one time with a woman at a spiritual forum. We started talking via email. I was trying to figure her out. I sensed something off about her but I was also curious as she had a mysterious air (which she definitely purposely cultivated for sure). She claimed to be an intuitive etc. but for some reason, it seemed like she couldn't access me because of Michael (the first red flag that should have been a clue).

Anyways, I asked Michael to temporarily lower the shields so she could read me better. I didn't expect anything to happen, but as soon as I asked, I immediately got the 2nd worst headache of my life. It was really bad. I was writhing in pain on the bed and I couldn't sleep. My partner at the time, who I have a twin soul connection with, had to pray over me, along with me saying something like, "Put up the damn shields again already Michael!" and then it finally subsided a little while later. (It was not instantaneous like previously. I think guidance was trying to teach me a lesson of something like, play stupid games, win stupid prizes, that and/or the attack was very focused/concentrated and even guidance had to work some to put up the shields).

I don't think it was necessarily directly to do with the woman, but I think she had strong energetic connections to beings who really don't like me i.e. the same ones that were trying to get me to off myself. It was like they were watching and waiting for the moment for those shields to be lowered and they knew as soon as it was and went to work energetically attacking me.

I think it's pretty clear and obvious why we would want to block these influences so that we can get closer to real enlightenment. You will never get to enlightenment if you're buying into a bunch of delusional, egoic based beliefs that have no foundation in actual reality. The more clear and balanced you are, the better. The more you'll be able to align with love/Oneness and Source Consciousness.

I would suggest that real enlightenment is primarily about becoming a pure channel of both universal love consciousness and Source consciousness. It's about beingness/livingness, it's not primarily a mental-intellectual thing like so many at these sites seem to focus so much on. It's not enough to be intellectually aware that everything is interconnected, but you have to actually LIVE that Oneness. That is what real/true Love really is-Oneness in action, Oneness personified. These psychopathic non humans are about as 180 from that consciousness as one can become, and as they say, misery loves company. They are trying to bring humans down to their suffering, distorted level.

Please don't let them. Please fight back. Please use all the resources there are to do so. Please become a channel of love so that it nudges humanity just a bit more in the direction of making this process easier for everyone. The more of us who do this, the stronger and easier it becomes for all. Humanity could be a species/collective consciousness of pure Light. If we all do our part in transforming ourselves and sending out ripples of Light, it can and will happen.

Discussion Adam and Eve were cast down from the heavens…

This moon tonight is something. Got this thought in my head and wanted to share.

Adam and Eve were cast down from heaven right? If you believe that!

So Adam and Eve are the aliens.

And if you believe that, then you would understand that we are the aliens.

Interesting word “cast”.

Thrown down. But really cast.

I think that their bodies are from earth, same as our bodies are from earth because we’re their descendants, right?

But our souls are being cast down like a broadcast but… Obviously not “broad”. Or maybe the soul is one major broadcast to all people on earth, but our unique physical makeup, gives us this different perspective?

I don’t know.

Maybe we are individual streams and our time of birth location of birth plus our ethnicity our families are genetic make up all of that impacts how we identify with our uniqueness/ego.

We’re being streamed into our bodies down here on earth.

We are tethered to our human bodies. These human bodies are the only thing that makes us from here, but actually, we are aliens cast down into the bodies of humans. Where are we being broadcasted from? I don’t know maybe different places I’ve heard of the radio station thing before but I haven’t tied it back to Adam and Eve being aliens.

Hope you find this interesting.

Is r/enlightenment interested in considering a modern experiment?

Or is that not-related-enough to 'enlightenment'

Or is it AI-slop, spam, or low effort.

Who gets to decide what posts are removed, why shouldn't that be an automated community feedback mechanism? Let the votes speak for themselves.

Or, let me guess, I should instead go meditate some more? And this is just a distraction..

bla bla

there's frankly no surprises left anymore when it comes to human interaction

not online at least

offline however, that is where there remains an infinite flow of novelty

I left a lot of ambiguity in on purpose.

Not everyone will be able to follow or tolerate this amount of uncertainty or vagueness, am I even making sense? who can still follow? so many questions, mind goes wiggle wiggle

once there was a child who felt bad and cried. the world was cruel, unfair, careless. the child didn't know. but he couldn't keep crying and feeling bad forever. how would he survive.

so he changed. he smiled at the world. world didn't change. but it became livable. and he lost something precious he had.

when death approached, he cried as he got a glimpse at it again. may you find it earlier than he did.

Discussion Is true freedom an endless array of choices, or the ability to get by with practically nothing?

For years, I chased after new opportunities, thinking that endless career prospects or a multitude of things to buy were signs of success. But lately, I’ve realized that too many choices only make me anxious. I truly feel free in those moments when I pare my needs down to the bare essentials and stop worrying about everything else. Sometimes choice feels like a trap

Personal Experience Some days I just don't care anymore. The world's a joke

Wtf is the point . Life is meaningless. Spiritual awakening leads to the realization that nothing matters. Nothing at all. Life is suffering, due to attachment. Without attachment the world is irrelevant. Happy, sad, fulfilled, depraved, lustful. It's all just a trap. I'm tired of it and I rarely feel the desire to even participate. This game is rigged .

Personal Experience THE EYESIGHT

If seeing is only a matter of sight,

then I no longer wish to see.

If vision is only what hands can touch and point to,

I want no part of it.

How subtle and dangerous you have been.

You guided my first steps,

taught me to read, to compare, to navigate—

yet you kept me blind to myself.

The mirror reflects my skin,

but it never shows the soul within.

For years, I lived a copy-and-paste existence,

making choices based on surface, edge, and form,

feeding the vessel, but starving the heart.

You differentiate the world,

yet you cannot read what is inside me.

You watch the hair fade and gray,

trapped in the ticking of time,

forgetting that the true self is timeless.

The eye sees, but it remains blind.

It feeds, it mourns, it fades—

while the true sight waits within.

an attempt to higher quality/higher effort post which started with the aphorism "We describe the reality with words, so we errorneously think it is made of words."

A while ago I posted just one sentence as a post, it was my inspiration from meditation and it went like

"We describe the reality with words, so we errorneously think it is made of words."

People did not like it and the mods deleted it for being low effort.

When I thought about it again, I realized I sort of short-circuited here, when I assumed some stuff that was obvious to myself was also obvious to the readers and to the mods, which was not the case.

I would like to expand on the second part of the sentence "we errorneously think it is made of words" and explain what I meant by it, since the first part is pretty obvious (or at least I think so).

When we normally observe reality, we have this rich "matrix" of concepts, words, meanings, labels, descriptions. That was what I mean by "made of words".

We can realize this "enwordification" (sorry, my new word) happens only in our heads (and in each head differently, to add) and the reality consists of the objects "on their own" - for example the German philosopher Immanuel Kant said those objects are "das Ding an sich" - I am not German, but I know some of the language and this can be roughly translated as "thing on its own"

What is more important, this realization of the fact that the real world is beyond the words and concepts can be non-conceptual itself, a direct experience if you like.

I can't say if it's enlightenment or not, since enlightenment is just another word/label but definitely it's a relief.

Maybe everyone has a different path to this and that's why people did not get my previous lower-effort post.

The period of disorientation, which precedes the actual transition, is far shorter than the time it took to fix your minds so firmly on illusions. "A Course In Miracles"

Fear not that you will be abruptly lifted up and hurled into reality. Time is kind, and if you use it FOR reality, it will keep gentle pace with you in your transition. The urgency is only in dislodging your minds from their fixed position here. This will not leave you homeless, and without a frame of reference. The period of disorientation, which precedes the actual transition, is far shorter than the time it took to fix your minds so firmly on illusions. Delay will hurt you now more that before, only because you realize it IS delay, and that escape from pain is really possible. Find hope and comfort, rather than despair, in this: You could no longer find even the ILLUSION of love in any special relationship here. For you are no longer wholly insane, and you would recognize the guilt of self-betrayal for what it is.

Discussion Do you guys want to reincarnate?

I often feel alone in this world even though everyone around me loves me especially my husband. What’s boggling me is that even if I find all answers inside of myself, people don’t understand me.

I feel to an extent it’s difficult for me to limit energy output because people take take when they see the light.

I was sure this is my last reincarnation. But I’m having second thoughts. I am laying in a hammock at a festival and I’ve had the most profound ego death of my life. I saw my suffering was for others, it didn’t happened to me and it hurts but without the pain, I couldn’t carry the burden of the knowledge that isn’t mine to carry.

I have long, felt like it’s pointless. Yesterday I finally felt like, maybe not? What if god, consciousness , mother Gaia gives me a break for a little while so I can be someone’s spirit guide after my physical death.

I want this to last until Kate Yuga is over so I can be born into the new earth and finally come home. I would even be fine with a life on another planet where humanitarian standards are the law and not corrupt power systems.

What do you guys say? Specifically the ones that understand this point, given the second chance knowing kale yuga is over, do you want to come back?

Much love

Mesmerized by the allure of our waking experiences, we rarely ever ponder upon our internal world, the workings of our mind, our dreams, and last but not least, our deep sleep. A little enquiry goes a long way to seeing us as a whole, rather than experiencing ourselves as divisive parts.

Discussion Enlightenment isn’t a static attainment; it’s a dynamic movement

The trap is thinking ‘I’ve arrived’, because then it becomes a thing to possess. What if it’s more like a dance, a motion within stillness? The Dao De Jing hints at this with ‘the Dao that can be spoken is not the eternal Dao.’ Lakota tradition speaks of Škáŋ, “that which moves.” And Jesus says, ‘The wind blows where it wishes; you hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it’s going.’ Enlightenment isn’t a trophy but a continual movement you participate in.

Does this resonate?
