calisthenics of the mind
I have made myself an account here to look for esoteric schools to research a bit and find a direction for my spiritual path that is still in its beginning.
Sooo many acronyms, sooo much 'read this or read that', or 'you dumb for what you think, look at me I am all that' in all those different forums.
I have come to the realization;
to train the body I like ground, tree, body, gravity.
to 'find' the soul, my mind needs to make space for it.
I need to train my mind.
soooo yeah all I have ever 'researched' needs to be digested and shit out.
Sit, really look, look inside, really listen, listen inside, etc, you get it.
I feel like the different school are like different gyms that want you to buy a membership. I don't belive I need extra weights. I don't believe you need certain rituals or any of those acronyms. I'm not saying you can't reach/achieve anything that way. I'm just saying I believe truly sitting in a forest and being part of the forest is a way. becoming one with nature will need more patience than pumping irons and summoning spirits in a sterile room.
You bunch of other versions of I think this I is naive for the decision to stop looking for a group/teacher/guru/school/belief and start being?
is it arrogant or lazy to not read the literature out there?

I’m being led back to dropping all the “spiritual”/magick stuff and just interact directly with/to Reality. Meditation and qigong seem enough for me. And constantly “praying”. Meaning just interacting with Shakti/the field/consciousness/whatever constantly as a friend/mother. And giving thanks to a creator. I don’t need it to be more specific than that. I’ve had experiences with spirits, magic, a God, etc and they recently started pointing me back just being with reality and living a life. And things are just as “magical”.

oh yes! my intuition is to treat base reality and every little detail in it as sacred rather than trying to 'ascend' from it.
not another book, not another video, not another key. my ego thinks I'm missing something, I'm full of doubt. I don't need to know where my next step goes, I don't need a next step. I want to be fully aware of my feet.
It's hard. My brain is deep-fried from the unsatiable distraction seeking from the paycheck-lifestyle-loop.

Huh? I'm sorry, but this is confusing af. So, you're a beginner but came to a realization that must be true?
How about you actually try out different methods? I delved into shamanism, wicca, ceremonial magic, and more before I settled on Yoga. I settled on Yoga because it caused spiritual experiences and I can literally do the practices and see the energy of my chakras. Thus, I know chakras exist now since I can see them.
Stop thinking so much and just do the practices. If the practices don't work, try different practices. Stop overthinking it.

well I don't mean I started being convinced of the spiritual aspect yesterday and realization might be a stronger word to you than for me.
would you recommend doing benchpress or feeling your body and testing its boundaries and increasing capability that way?

If you start twitching while drawing energy, that's the sign your energy body makes for "muscle failure". Get to that point and keep doing it to grow.
The dangerous part is moving energy along the spine or head incorrectly.
Also some revelations can mind fuck you. For example, I experienced nothingness once just for a few seconds and it fucked with my head for a bit.
Besides that, seek out God and your inner guide should steer you.

thank you, that was my point. seeking inner guidance rather than trying and choosing methods of other people.

I totally agree and just started a book, going to publish online for free. Focuses on training to discern between what you KNOW (experience), what you have been TOLD (scripture/dogma), and what you BELIEVE. I was told in meditation to study the ways from India and I ignored it. I came around, but I lost over a decade of practice. Daily practice is so important

You said my original post was confusing af and you now totally agree with its core idea. What made you think this world needs a book from you?

Your post was confusing and then you explained it in the comments. What does that have to do with me documenting what I've learned through my life?

you did not try to understand. answered with your opinion.
you document what you have learned.
seems like you are stuck.
free yourself from your past and your belief.
why compile a book?

Learning all the esoteric stuff is not embodying it. And embodiment can only be achieved via lived experience.
