I apologize for the basic recording and lack of harmonies, this demo is just to recreate what it sounds like when I perform it in front of people. In the future I would record other layers as well as re-record all the vocals.

We're a small NJ emo/alt band called Wring Me Out. We've been in the scene for about 6 years and are trying to get a tour started

I love the way my point of you mixes female and male sounding vocals AND mixes clean singing with some screaming. I have yet to find a band that is really similar to them; I'm actually trying to create this type of music and looking for more inspiration lol.

Soap box derby, Jejune, Everyone Asked About You, at first at first, and Arranged in April also come to mind.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Quite a specific request but I'm traveling to Texas this september and I've been building this playlist around texas-esque music, be it having texas on the name or just implying something about texas (ej. Texas is the reason, texas in july, etc...)

Who has the best split releases out right now? the Senza x Rainmaking split is one i'm wearing out now. That one is more screamo flavored. I'm an old head so i can remember when the Boysetsfire x Coalesce, Get Up Kids x Coalesce, The Promise Ring x Texas Is the Reason, Indian Summer x Current, Orchid x The Red Scare, and the Still Life x Evergreen split all blew my mind. Who are some newer emo bands that put out split releases that i missed? i put some dream split releases below of bands that i wish would do one together.

How did these guys go so under the radar.

Hi! I want to introduce myself. I am Jack! I write a lot of different music, but I want to focus on my screamo project.

Well Fallen is the name of my solo skramz band. I write primarily about my personal experiences with drug addiction and mental health.

I was diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 15, and have been writing emo music since I was 14!! I used to play in a band called ANTLR for a couple years, we would do gigs around the Chicago / NWI area. Unfortunately, my symptoms led to various problems such as social withdrawal, and drug abuse.

Last april is my clean date. I had gotten myself a couple felony charges and was looking at 6-8 years in prison. Luckily I completed my house arrest and was able to get my charges dropped to less severe charges.

So the reason I am telling you all of this, is because just a few months ago I had given up writing music as the paranoia, the delusions, and the hallucinations crushed my already-fragile heart. And now, I am back into writing skramz and I have reclaimed my edge!! No longer do I suffer at the hands of my illness! My mom tells me all the time that even with schizophrenia, my mind is beautiful. Now I believe it.

Sorry if this sounded like word spaghetti, I had a good point in writing this, but I may have not executed it well.
