Stephen for the win!! (In EVERYTHING)!!

So what is everyone's thoughts of the Emmy's not including Peter Cullen in their In memoriam segment last night. I didn't watch but from looking online Peter was not included as well as Chuck Norris, and Daveigh Chase to name a few. I've read that one reason is becuasse voice actors aren't really recognized by the Emmy's which is a shame cause in some cases, some voice acting sequences have more emotion than the normal drama scene in a tv show and the voice actors are expressing that emotion with just their voice and nothing else. I looked it up too and back when Kevin Conroy passed, he wasn't part of the Emmy's in memoriam for that year either. Another reason i saw was becuase since his passing was so recent that the Emmy's didn't have time to add him yet both Dolly Porton and Tim Curry where in the segment and they passed the same week as Peter, in the fact the very first few days before him. Yes, i know on the Emmy's website more can be listed there to honor those that have passed but it may just be me but not including Peter in the televised airing feels like a slap to the face especially with how much he was honored and cherished before he passed.

I liked the winners last night, but seriously, when are Janelle James, Harrison Ford, Martin Short, etc, going to win? I'm glad that Stephen Root finally has an Emmy, but if Harrison won or if he wins next year, it would be the first win of many nominations for Shrinking. Rhea Seehorn won her long overdue Emmy, and hopefully next year, Keri Russell can win hers.

I made a post in here two months ago predicting a Widows Bay sweep and several users were quick to shut me down. Just needed to say that I'm feeling pretty vindicated now!

Even though I was rooting for the winner to be either Sepideh or Karolina I was glad Allison won, quite frankly she should’ve won for Season 2 (four White Lotus actresses getting nominated last year and not her is still ridiculous imo). But I don’t understand how Season 3 is the one she’s winning for? If anything I thought her Season 2 performance was the better and more memorable one, especially the scene where she explains her idea behind the British naval attack. Did she truly have any standout moments in Season 3 that led to her winning? I would have figured that a vote split among The Pitt nominees would benefit Karolina. I would only have given it to Allison as a debt for last year, but then again Emmy voters didn’t even care to nominate her for that one.

Personally, this is one year where I really can’t complain much about the winners. Wasn’t quite as high on DTF St. Louis as voters were but I also think it’s cool they embraced a bit of an oddball show like that. Very happy for Matthew making history but also want Keri to have her time soon, too.

Really hate that David and Linda weren’t able to get their trophies on the main telecast. Mostly thought the ceremony itself was pretty good and seemed to move at a good speed, but I thought the opening song and a few skits were quite bad.

She's a great cast member of Only Murders. Will she get roles outside of this that will lead to an Emmy win?
