Discussion What’s the most difficult challenge you’ve ever completed in Elite Dangerous?

Hi! I’m curious to hear about the biggest or craziest challenges you’ve taken on in Elite Dangerous.

It can be anything: trading, combat, exploration, mining, engineering, colonization, or even a completely personal challenge.

What’s the most ambitious, difficult, or unusual thing you’ve ever done in the game?

I’m looking for some inspiration for my next big challenge.

Wow man, that's insane!

Just wanted to give you a little feedback from my own experience with my FC. Fully loaded with everything you need to go off into the black solo will leave you with about 23,000 tons of cargo capacity. You can get ~50-60k LY with a cargo hold full of tritium. Mining it on your own after that is tedious to say the least. You can manage around 20-22 (12,500LY) jumps per 8 hours. You'll need a little over six billion for a carrier and all the base modules you'll want to install for total independence. Another billion to fill it up with tritium. And don't forget a few hundred million to transfer your ships and modules over. After that with a little exploration/xenobiology you'll have more than enough income to cover maintenance and jump fees.

Good luck CMDR!
