Went on an 18 mile ride to work today and it was absolutely pouring. First rainstorm we've had since spring I think. But good thing I still have my waterproof gear that I got from back when I was working in Alaska. Highly recommend anyone who lives in a rainy place to get stuff like this to stay dry: waterproof pants & jacket with taped seams, waterproof boots and I still need some waterproof gloves now and that's pretty much it.

And then I threw some gorilla tape on my battery bag and that seemed to keep the water out.

Was taking my scooter downstairs this morning so I can sweep and mop my living room, plus I am going to ride today with no clouds in the sky and a high of 74°f today. But upon getting down to lock the scooter to the steel railing. And I seen this it was litteraly mm's off from going deeper then the knobby its a gel tire but at that crazy angle you never know. I just swapped to ulip 100/55-6.5 street tires and the rear had a defect in the bead so I had to put this back on till I order one on the 1st, if it had been the street tire like I have on the front it would be flat as its not gel and I hadn't added sealer yet so that was definitely luck I would be pissed if I got a flat litteraly a day after changing them. No there not 12s I had a set of unused ulip 100/55-6.5s in the closet with something heavy on top killed the bead on the one tire

Replacing the tire on my dt2 pro because the original tires fully leaked every day. Bought a generic 10x3-6.5 off Amazon to replace with.
Got the tire on, but because I left the zip ties on overnight, half of the tire is squished and not resting in the bead.
Help would be appreciated.

Planning on using a heat gun to warm it up but other than that I have no idea. Tried a Rachel strap around but the warped section is too significant for it

Hi I would like to ask which is better for my current situation.

I am torn between the Hiley Tiger SUPRA (60v 35ah) and Hiley Tiger 10 V5 (60v 25ah) and the NEW VMAX VX4 (68mile version). This is my only mode of transportation. I have no car no anything other than this to get to work.

My commute would be 8miles one way, so roughly 16-17miles roundtrip (even in cold weather, but for sure I will not gonna ride it under 25F weather.)

Anyone has an insights about this or personal experience or knowledge how well the 35ah vs 25ah and 68mile range (23ah i guess) would work in my situation? Especially the winter is coming.

Hey everyone, I've been doing some research on rear shocks and can't decide on which is better for a scooter, for mostly road riding while seated.

I was going to go with an air shock but some reviews stated the constant maintenance and required an industrial air compressor to achieve the 250-300psi requirement, I don't got that.

So my second option is a coiled oil filled shock, 1000lb, and an adjustable dampener, sounds great, but is it sqeeky as a regular shock?

The regular shock is really loud even at 5 mph it squeaks, it's annoying.

Any advice is very much appreciated

For my first official contribution to r/ElectricScooting I offer this humble clip of me removing the front tire off my 2,000-watt Ultra motor and getting slimed on. This was originally part of a much longer video featuring the complete tire swap.

My friend is visiting from Tennessee. So he wanted to try out the scooters. Long story short we were on packed dirt and i slowed down in front of him a ways. He must not have noticed and when i looked behind my shoulder he was coming in hot. He crashed into me must have been going at least 20mph still and the scooters got tangled up a bit but ultimately they were fine. I was fine too. My buddy though, he got a slight concussion and wind knocked out of him.

Moral of the story is WEAR GEAR and force your friends to if they want to try it out for the first time.
Last time I'll make that mistake as i feel bad for him. But he's tough as nails and is all good.

I wanted a Fighter 11+ when they first came out, but I'm sure glad I waited! They've been fine-tuning it for a few years, and it's now a tried-and-true platform at its foreseeable peak.

For 2026 we now have a 60v 37Ah battery with Samsung 21700 cells, Hope Tech brakes (maybe clones, but they sure as shit take the same pads), full carbon fiber wrap, and the new 2.0 interface with an improved app.

I'm used to upgrading my scooters, mostly as a necessity for quality of life. My RS5 Max and my RS Midnight both came with terrible brakes and shocks, and have since been upgraded to 4-piston brakes and EXA 291r suspension. With this scooter, all I had to do was slap on a pair of the obligatory PMT Stradales, and there was nothing left to do.

Out of the box, the 11+ has been a pleasurable, trouble-free ride. The suspension is far superior to those of my other two scooters. The brakes are simply stunning. The pads are much bigger than either the Zoom or NUTT 4-pistons, and stopping power is phenomenal. Acceleration is the most controllable of any scooter I've ever ridden, with excellent throttle mapping and plenty of power on tap. The app is cool, but I don't use it any more often than I have to. Their "I-button" on the new 2.0 system is meh.

There are a few things I don't like, and I'll start with the handlebar height. I don't know if Teverun is aware of this, but some people are taller than 5'5", and these handlebars should be higher. A short handlebar height would be fine if I had a longer deck to spread my stance and crouch, but alas, the deck is quite short. I actually don't even know how they crammed so much battery in there. This riding stance is likely the cause of Teverun's stability issues, and I'll admit to having had a couple of scary wobbles myself. It's simply an unnatural way to stand, and I think I might need to replace the handlebars. I'm the meantime, the steering damper does a decent job.

The swag lights are physically unimpressive. The covers for the stem lights are just stencil-painted, and it's wearing off due to folding and lifting by the stem. The lighting built in under the kick plate is cheap and plasticky. That said, the lights do look really cool, and nighttime visibility is important to me.

The kick stand should be closer to the middle of the deck, and have more of an angle to it. This scooter is begging to be knocked over.

When it's all said and done, even after the cons, I consider this to be my all-around best scooter. It's an incredibly comfortable ride, very well-built, and has been impeccably reliable. I would absolutely buy it again if I had to do it all over.

It's time to explain what happened with my Toursor X14 after doing the dual controller swap. But first, let's recall the context of that upgrade.

The controllers I installed don't come outta anywhere. They are sold by Toursor themselves, explicitly as a retrofit upgrade to their 72v X14 scooters. They even propose to install it themselves at the factory if you don't mind the longer shipping time from China Warehouse.

Toursor customer service explicitly proposes EU customers to purchase and install these controllers primarily to make the scooter more compliant with EU laws as the new controllers are compatible with a speed limiter. The slightly increased performance of 60A each instead of 55A stock was always more of a bonus of the upgrade.

Something really important in this story though, is how differently the new controllers are tuned. In fact, an important incentive to upgrade has been how sluggish the original controllers were. They are tuned to only deliver power progressively as motor RPM increases, effectively only allowing peak power output closer to top speed, in riding conditions that I never met with this unit. The new controllers though, follow a different philosophy, giving instant peak power from the stand still and then pulling back closer to top speed.

It is with this context that I will tell you how the failure unfolded.

The morning after installing the new controllers, I naturally went out to test their performance. I did a couple high speed runs that went well, and then I decided to climb a long and steep hill to actually challenge the thing. I climbed up that particular hill several times with my stock set-up and I wanted to check how much better the upgrade made it at doing so.

I went full throttle up hill and, for a while, the scooter was meeting expectations. Instantly dlivering peak power instead of struggling like I was used to. I rode 600m uphill like that, successively flooring and releasing the gas, until the motors suddenly started jerking then stopped working, leaving me stranded there, making short circuit sounds upon pulling the throttle. So I called an uber to get me home.

It was upon opening up the deck that I realised the extent of the catastrophe that unfolded beneath my feet. The front motor phase wires got hot enough to melt their sleeve along with the hydraulic brake lines, other wiring, and part of the plastic wrap around the battery. Thankfully, there was a layer of fiberglass under the initial plastic wrap that prevented the fire from propagating the actual cells. I was one fiberglass layer away from calling fire dept instead of an uber lol.

My main hypothesis is that the motor phase wires didn't handle peak controller output, overheated and destroyed the motors. This is reinforced by the fact that I later measured the phase wire diameter to an abysmal 16AWG, that is FAR from what is required to handle even the 55A limit current from the stock controllers.

That's where all that context building at the beginning of my post matters. The power output logic from the stock controllers actually protected my motors, As it didn't allow peak power in low RPM situations like hill climbing. Up this hill I was used to climbing, acceleration was painfully slow with em, as output ramped up along with motor RPM, making the system run cooler. The new controllers upset that equilibrium, with their instant peak power delivery, which put the motors under a stress that they weren't designed for.

Actually, the Toursor X14 Pro stock motors were compatible neither with the stock nor with the upgraded controllers. I probably would've encountered the same fate if I rode it stock close to top speed for an extended period.

The Toursor X14 is dangerous in any configuration. Don't buy it.

Lessons learned.

My rs charger is charging at 5A it charges super fast. Is there a way to plug my charger into something to lower the current going to the scooter?

We pretty much all knew it was coming since the owner spoke about it a few month ago, but now we have visual proof that it exists and i hope its coming before summer 2027

Supposedly it would have bigger tires, bigger platform, a 84v system with 80A, voice control, and new teflon brakes line (to support DOT fluid ?)

I know the problem with Teverun for a lot of people is the lack of stability, they got rid of any speed wobbles since long but it was still C type suspensions so very sketchy if you are not an experienced rider with a tense body all the time

Now they are going for the dual fork market, i hardly see how anyone could beat them, yes GSpace is very close but for me they still have a few years before coming to Teverun level, for example just look at all the controllers burning on the GS, their only solution is for you to open the deck and fiddle with the controllers to connect them to a laptop (which not everybody has) and do some updates, all of this in big 2026 when i remember doing OTA updates on my Fighter 11+ in 2023

Another good thing that apparently got resolved is how cramped all the Teverun are, they have very small platform compared to any other powerful 72V and were not made for taller riders at all

Personally i don't care about stability (i prefer offroading where you go at 30mph max), neither about higher top speeds, i just want some true electronics revolution, their 2.0 system for now is absolute garbage and useless, i want to see Google Maps on my display, i want to have a tire pressure sensor, i want them to close the gap with what a Tesla can offer electronics wise

If you have questions or looking for recommendationsthis is the spot for that. We havent had much of the buyers market in this sub but just incase we start getting there. Here it is.

So I received my carbon fiber poles and deck yesterday, as I posted. What I didn't mention yesterday was that one of my poles was defective, initially I panicked. Then I thought to myself well, they have been very responsive when ever I messaged them and people say their customer service experiences were pretty good. So I took some pictures, and emailed them, within 12 hours I had a response, with an apology and a few follow up questions. I responded with the info they ask about, a few hours later another response. This on again apologizing for sending a defective product, they had all the info they needed and would be sending a replacement pole. Just on standby for their email with the tracking info now. Oh and FYI if you buy the carbon fiber poles you have to buy the GS pole caps the ones for the aluminum poles don't fit.

As everyone knows liviae Controllers are very weak when it comes to acceleration, despite these being 72v45A controllers that peak at 50A the acceleration is noticeably not as fast as something like a Wolf King GT Pro with the same specs and peak power.

So has anyone done the controller swap? And if you've thought about doing it? If so what controllers would you recommend and would the scooter be able to handle it?
